Speaking of predators, I found it lol-inducingly ecologically unaware that Stephanie Meyer chose to make the Cullens eat bears and mountain lions instead of the infinitely more plentiful deer. *headdesk*

Yay, someone else agrees about idiot ranchers!

Lol it works! XD But if you, me, and CZ are ever in a zombie apocalypse, I'm stealing CZ's chainsaw. Better hope there are two of 'em somewhere.

So I'm not totally alone, one handgun though- my husband's 44. Not much of a hunter myself (I kill enough things in my line of work), but I grew up around it and my husband starts with doves in September and finishes with ducks in January. Most of the meat we eat is wild game. I have a traditional bow that I like to shoot (I don't hunt with it either) and my husband makes fun of me for flinging sticks.Charsen wrote...
probably more people have pet wolf-hybrids in the states than there are free ranging wolves anymore sadly, well in most states anyways. foxes and coyotes though, sure.
my family hunts, i have hunted deer, jackrabbits and fowl of various sorts for food by bow, trap and rifle. i will get the chance to hunt turkey this fall when i visit back home for thanksgiving though. family owns several arsenals between all of them. no handguns though.

On the wolves - don't really want to get into the debate but they can be destructive and they frequently don't eat what they kill - just maim it and leave it to die. Always two sides to a story. The riparian areas in Yellowstone have definitely benefited from wolves - the park was one of the most overgrazed areas in the west - so I'm not totally opposed to wolves.
I had a cougar kill two of my goats so I know first hand how much it sucks to raise a critter and then have something come along and kill it. Anyway, it is easy to dismiss another persons opinion if you haven't experienced things from their side of the fence. Many of my good friends and a huge percentage of my clients are ranchers and they are good people who work hard for a living. Many of them are opposed to wolves, but there are also those who appreciate them.
Also, removing wolves from the endangered species list did not start a hunting free for all. The states in which hunting wolves is legal treat them as trophy animals with limited tags.
Okay, you all can start throwing rotten tomatoes now, I know this probably won't be popular.

How Many Can Fit in a Longboat?
How many can fit in a longboat?
There's plenty of room for one.
But I'll not get too far
By the light of the stars
Since sailing alone isn't fun.
How many can fit in a longboat?
There's plenty of room for two.
You're a sweet little thing
To come sailing in spring
But I think we can take on more crew.
How many can fit in a longboat?
There's plenty of room for three.
Red hair and fine eyes
Your bard's quite a prize
But I'll not set out yet for the sea
How many can fit in a longboat?
There's plenty of room for four.
We'll take on the Crow
For he knows how to row
Now we're ready to sail from the shore.
...I guess I officially need to get myself a thread over at Community Creations, don't I?

I wasn't going to, but... by request, my current WIP at 16 hours:
Obviously based off the most recent kmeme fill I wrote (Scarlet Switch). It's not precisely perfect for the story, although I did make sure to leave one of Zev's belts conspicuously off.<_<...
And yes, Tannusen always looks that ridiculous until I add his hair.I always draw him bald or scalpless first so I can do his crazy girl-hair right.
I still need to draw the hook and rope the chain's on, lulz.
The idea of shading so much black leather is making me ¬.¬-face though. Plus all the white background / pale skin is making my eyes hurt.
Someday I'll decide what to do about Zev's tattoos and can draw him with more skin showing. Someday!
( In before drama over buckled leather cuffs and 1ft of chain. )
