Charsen, I just wanted to say that the wedding idea is excellent. Good luck on the mod!

Weddings?! *squees*

I understand Sarah's point about how it makes less sense for a HN wedding when marrying Alistair/Anora. But it would perfectly fine as long as it doesn't include anyone that should be dead (ie Riordan). But, hey, I'll take what I can get.

I would also second the Landsmeet chamber as a spot for tthe ceremony, if only b/c getting married in Fort Drakon would creep me right out. XD

OMG. In that case, forget my mage, I gotta play one of my sexy dwarf ladies!

If only they could make a nug-wrestling mini game....

I imagine that my Cousland and Alistair have a small ceremony before their official wedding. Though it probably wouldn't make much sense for Zev/Leliana to have a ceremony with someone who was marrying Anora, or for the Warden to marry Alistair if he is going to marry Anora.

Hey, if your Cousland would, great.  Mine would not.  *shrugs*  It might just mean I keep the scene for other characters and not my canon HNF.

Either way, I am psyched to see the results.

Then I would still recommend the Landsmeet Chamber if you are marrying either Anora or Alistair....if you are marrying Zevran or Leliana then Fort Drakon would be fitting.

It can work, i was really just suggesting the Fort Drakon because it has the proper "look" for a chantry (being it actually is one) and as such suited to pretend it is the inside of Denerim Chantry we never get to see, and which could work for everyone even the king/queen. The Landsmeet chamber we get to see so much in the game, it'd sort of lessen the impact of the wedding if it was yet another ceremony held in there. All imo, of course.

And just pretend it's not Fort Drakon and an actual chantry/cathedral instead?  ^_^  I could work with that.

Ayup, say, if you have establishing camera shot of the exterior of Denerim Chantry and then swap to the Fort Drakon, most people would just presume they're seeing the inside of that place Posted Image

edit: the Haven Chantry is another nice place and interestingly enough it seems it was initially intended to be part of Denerim area. But would need some cleaning up in the level editor to be fully suitable so that's more work.

Just popping over to give Charsen a big thumbs up.  You don't mess around.  Posted Image

I think there are implications that would make it not work for most of my Wardens- Chantry implications, and the fact that with Alistair I most often end up doing the mistress ending (I'm a masochist, apparently).  But this would give someone who did a Warden ending with Alistair something to look forward to, since he doesn't appear in Awakening if he's not king.

@ Charsen, that looks amazing! Isn't that your mage sitting at the back?

lol yes, holding hands in the back with CZ's Xander. also Wade and Heron are there since they carry to Awakening, Beneviti (if spared), Lily (might include tranquil Jowan if there is a flag when you release him to the tower, not sure yet),if you have other crowd suggestions let me know =)

Tranquil Jowan will gave me a big sad.  But otherwise.

THIS.  YOU.  WORDS FAIL.

D'awwwwwwwww serious squee!

Just out of curiosity, will there be a way in-game to specify if you want the wedding or not, or will you simply have to disable the mod if you don't want it? As mentioned, it's not something that works for everyone's characters, so I'm just wondering how you'll set up the trigger.

So is the location where the Marriage taking place happening where the origin is important, or the charachter your PC is marrying the deciding factor. To throw out some ideas:

Human Nobles: Landsmeet Chamber for sure - hero of Ferelden deserves it.

Dalsih Elf :Beautiful forest clearing

Dwarves :Chamber of the Assembly or Royal Palace throne room

Mages :The Tower is a little iffy to me, so maybe the LM chamber, or some other Chantry

like in Redcliffe.

City Elf :Married under dat big tree hell yah (With Shiori and Oghern passe out already.)

Just some Ideas, I am impressed Charsen any Idea when you are going to release it?

My Unitarian Universalist church does.  Then again, they call us the "unchurch" so YMMV.

How on earth do you do these things?   It's wonderful.   The love scene at the end is gorgeous before it cuts off.  That look between yours and CZ's characters is lovely.

lol at the last row action Posted Image

about the music issue. I imagine you could possibly have it continue through multiple scenes if it's done like the default kiss music? I mean, that one doesn't stop when the cutscene ends, but continues even when another cutscene is triggered.

Chantry doesn't, but I guess we're going non-canon on account of the Gray Warden's supreme coolness.

Most of the reason churches don't allow gay marriage is because it's just not legal in most places.  But there are many churches that have no problem with gay marriages either on a national level or in local congregations, like the Unitarian Universalists, United Church of Christ (varies locally?), United Methodists (varies locally), and Episcopalians (varies locally).  I'm agnostic but go to an Episcopalian church incognito  and a lesbian couple we know is having their unofficially offical union blessed this fall.
