I heartily agree, to a point though. I won't slaughter people I actually like in a game ( Loghain, Zevran, Bhelen, Elder Lyons, Charon,, Burke, Tempeny etc ) but others? Hell yeah!

I have to admit, even though I've done a couple of evil FO3 play throughs, I have not done the slavers quests.  I balked at the people I was supposed to mez and put the collars on because *groan* I liked them.  However, I do want to do at least one time evil all the way, including siding with the slavers all the way.

In FO3, when I sided with the ghouls, I wanted to punt kittens.  I swear, I was SO pissed and felt like the biggest tool in the world.  I have no issues turning in the android, however.  He's just a machine.  And that perk is SO good.

In DAO, I don't think I could kill Zevran.  There's this little part of mine that really has been touched by the character, and even though I know on a rational level that he is just pixels, it would make me feel bad!  Though thinking about it, I did kill him once and reload.

Alistair, I really don't have a problem letting him die -- either by execution or by the AD.  But the first time I played, yeh, I cried when he dumped my character and I cried when he killed himself.  So maybe that's why I'm meh now -- I got over him!

*sigh* Ok, I AM warped!

if you kill every single killable NPC in Oblivion, your bounty gets so high that it causes an integer overflow and you are attacked by very polite bugged out guards who greet you while attacking, then walk away and disco dance because they want to attack due to your wanted status, but can't due to your bounty.

I was a supreme ass in Fallout 2 on my first playthrough

I ended up shagging this dudes son and he walked in on us... well any ways he forced us into a shotgun wedding and dear lord was the guy worthless you couldent dismiss him and he was more likly to kill you than your enemies... so i sold him into slavery and went back to daddy who commented on where his son was and I told him =3

that or I could put him into a machine that cuts out his brain and add said brain to a robot who is really damn awesome if built right


also the Stupid playthrough was made of win and lulz (if you have like Init 3 or less you get completely new dialogue options and people treat you differently)

edit: oh and Goris the deathclaw in Fallout 2 is made of win by far my fav companion in either game (barring dogmeat but he doesnt count)

Oh, doublecross the doctor guy and you can get the perk and keep the cute android around.  Harkness just stands there, though, and the b*tchy lady says she's in charge of the Rivet City guard, so it does tweak his circuits if you turn him in even if you kill the doctor and his bodyguard afterward.

You can go to Harkness, tell him he is an android, then tell him you will kill the Doctor. He gives you the Plasma Rifle.

Go to Doctor, say who Harkness is then blast them to goo.

The only people worth saving the Wasteland is the Brotherhood of Steel on the East Coast ( the ones on the West can burn for all I care ) and Three Dog. The rest? well I just carve a bloody path....and take their ears.

Oblivion is an interesting game for me. I have trouble actually getting into the story. I do like exploring, picking flowers, even the approval mini-game. I will get on for an hour or two and do absolutely nothing. It reminds me of crafting in EQ2, actually, but without anyone to chat with. (I was the only commisioner (highest evil crafter title at the time) on my PVP server, so this is a compliment -- I think there was a good aligned crafter with the highest one as well).

But I've never really gotten far in the game before moving onto something else. Right now, I'm debating starting over as I'm strictly marksman but have blade as a major skill.

Just finished my dwarf (I do love that Tesla rod). Have yet to play through with an half-orc, so that will probably be the next one.

And that game has the best back stories ever.

playing a half orc is an experiance of its own... you get treated like utter trash the racism in that game for playing a half orc utterly DEMOLISHS the 'racism" you get for playing an Elf in dragon age

edit: I also love how that game takes the "ur the chosen one" story line and drop kicks it out the window

edit again: also now I have the urge to play through Arcanum again... and murder all the gnomes...

I utterly despise the gnomes in that game and they deserve to get wiped out =/

I approve of this discussion.  Arcanum is a fantastic game. It's been a couple years since my last playthrough, it may be time to bring it out again soon.

I'll admit that I've never taken a half-orc character very far. I only played one for about an hour to see the racial reactions and low-intelligence dialogs. Mostly I liked to play magic attuned mages or warriors. I tried a firearms character once and it was decent enough, but I don't enjoy micro-managing my ammunition supply.

And yeah, it bothered me that I could never expose or stop the gnome conspiracy. I didn't actually kill the gnomes for it, but that could be something to consider for next time.

I would say we should quote each individual piece. Afterall, we're trying to show off the worth of the thread, and if someone has say, 10 pieces in their dA, a single link won't really portray that. Plus it shows it off better when people make new things.

Most fun I had was my Dark Elf assassin.  The Dark Brotherhood quest line is pretty well done.  But yeah, it is very repetitive.  A huge world and lots to do, but it's the same sorts of things you do over and over.

I know what you mean, but I made my fanart only links to BW and flickr albums because there is lot of it inside and linking each piece is 1. too much work, 2. it would flood the list like whoa, 3. I am lazy to name the fanart, so they are often nameless. I don't know about the others but in my case I vote just for those two links.

Quick question, I'm sure it's been talked about but this thread is just...beyond enormous. I've never romanced Zev so I don't know much about it.



I've heard that the epilogue you get if you romanced Zev and do the ultimate sacrifice is kind of sad, so what exactly happens if you go that route?

@OnionXI-- If you do the US with Zevran romanced, the epilogue card states that he is eventually attacked by the Crows again, after which he returns to Antiva and kills his way to becoming the leader of the Crows. It says that he has many offers of bedmates, but he never loves again.



And it's pretty darn sad if you ask me. =( Also ejoslin has screenshots of the look he gives during the funeral scene at the end, which is completely heartbreaking.

There's this bit about going from Redcliffe to Circle Tower by boat in one day, and it's a huuuuge lake. Looking at the map the distance between Denerim and Antiva is ~5 times that, yeah.

That said i don't quite buy that one day thing, not when it's similar distance from Orzammar to the Tower and it's said to take much longer than one day to travel that.
