[Fault Girl]

I'm doing a dalish PC and want to romance Zevran, what's the best way around it? Regarding the earring and i read somewhere that it be hinted at as a proposal? I maybe be wrong but....I play on the xbox and I think there is a lack of kissing with Zevran?

You can't have PDA with either Zevran or Leliana without mods. It's only possible with Alistair and Morrigan.

As for the "best" way to conduct the romance, that's entirely up to your personal preference. How flirty do you want your Warden to be, how committed, etc. etc. It's possible to have him do most of the flirting, or for the Warden to be more "come hither". It's possible to ask him to the tent yourself or to have him do the asking (I prefer the latter) by offering a massage. Many different ways it can go. Is there any specific scenario you would like?

The one thing people consistently advise though is to turn down his earring the first time he offers it. The second offer is much more heartfelt, even if you don't ask him whether it's a proposal or not (I actually prefer not to ask).

Have a look at Ejoslin's Zevran FAQ for information about the earring (I know it has been mentioned before, but worth mentioning again).

If you want a proposal, you have to refuse the earring the first time (and ask him to the tent and have him talk about his feelings after he refuses, and be careful about which response you choose - it's not obvious). Otherwise, you can do what feels right for your character (for some that will lead naturally to the proposal, but for others it won't). I don't think there's a right or wrong way to play it, or a 'better' option.

You don't get approval for accepting the proposal/earring the second time, but you do get an approval jump for accepting it the first time (although you won't see it if his approval is at 100). You lose approval if you refuse the earring, but you can lessen it by initially accepting and then refusing (saying you'll only accept it with meaning). You also lose approval if you have the earring and try to give it back in a later conversation! He really wants you to have that earring! And he does prefer if you accept it straight away - but you won't get that later dialogue.

Personally, I've gone for the proposal once, but I prefer to accept the earring the first time. It depends how you interpret it, but I feel that he does give it with meaning the first time - it's completely heartfelt, but he has reasons for being unable to declare his love at that point (as he explains later). 

I hope that's not too much information. If you really don't mind spoilers and playing around with the game, go back to camp straight after meeting Taliesin and without talking to Zevran again, then save the game. You can play straight through the dialogue then (you have to be in camp for some of it) and see which you prefer.

Thanks for the help I had a quick look at the FAQ and it was fantastic, I'm just worried about what repsonses, but I'll just do a save before hand, I am usually pretty good at guessing which ones are ok!

Almost 6,000 words of porn in that one, egads. -- Also, the whole series is sitting at around 35,000 words and counting. Of mostly porn.
