but ME isn't a twitch game. there's pausing, in fact, you need to pause to aim and coordinate tactics properly. =)
trust me, i play twitch games a lot... like currently me & CZ are going thru L4D and L4D2 together, and it's of course a twitch game. great fun too. but yeah ME1 and 2 are not twitch like that... you should be using your pause to control your actions in ME1 and 2, otherwise it would be too cumbersome to direct fire and also take care of the ai. XD

How far have you gotten in? The true romance starts with Shani at the end of chapter 2.
A little hint, when Shani asks you to invite someone to a party choose Zoltan, it will make the party have a very sweet moment between Shani and Geralt.

EJ - Like the first time you play through the Alistair romance and HE DUMPS YOU!!!!! I mean really heart thumping heart dropping moment.
I think I got way into the gamePretended it WAS me or different aspects of my personality in the DA world, instead of me just sitting back and playing a game.
So for me, DA was successful, it totally sucked me in to another world, like reading a book. I don't wanna play games where I feel like "Okay, gotta move Spider Man over here, make him do this, *oops* Gotta kill these baddies, make Spidy sneak over here, websling, toss a barrel at someone..." I'd much rather feel like I am in the game, not just controlling some animated avatar.
I mean heck, I fist pumped and CHEERED at 5 am during my first playthrough when I (my PC) jumped on teh head of the AD and killed it.

The sweet moments were between me (urg, I don't care if people make fun of me for this) and Zevran/Alistair/Leliana,

Another nail in the coffin for being able to play your own personalized character.
Think I need go search for some Zevrinjection pics to cheer me up.

Based on the reaction of many people who actively post on these forums, I would say that this is how they feel as well.
Me? I could care less about it.
He told me, "Would you STOP talking about that damn elf?" *grin*

I understand where this sort of argument comes from, but at the same time I would caution you to be wary of what you ask for.
For Mass Effect, having a single voice for the female or male Sheppard character is not such a big deal -- we are talking about a specific human military character, one who is not really the player's own. No matter what choices you make, to some extant you are always making them on behalf of Sheppard.
If the goal is to have more customization for the character, does it follow that we should then be also trying to limit their options in favor of a more cinematic experience? Dialogue-wise, the player character is the single largest character in the game -- having even one option alone per gender/race combination would be an extraordinary amount of space (disregarding the cost of such recording alone).
Making a game more cinematic, after all, is not always necessarily the goal. You may have liked a game that was more cinematic, such as Mass Effect, but be careful of placing that same expectation on all other games. A more cinematic experience is going to come along with a lot of other trade-offs that you may not be aware you would be getting as part of the package, things that you may not want.
Or maybe I'm wrong and everyone will miss the Mass Effect style of dialogue and we'll be doing it exactly that way in DA2. I suppose it remains to be seen.
