I don't care what we do as long as there is:

1) corruption
2) jello shots
3) dancing
4) men and women not wearing much
5) food I will regret in the morning after

I agree with most of this, but while you're off dancing I'll be in the corner with Sarah creepily stroking her now short hair.

Oo oo! And pass around the redhead sandwiches pleeease! :o

You could join on the stage if you want. It's amateur night ;)

Edit: Or is it open mic night I'm thinking of...

I find it hard to see Mordin in a good light, at least until you do his loyalty mission.

There is Pragmatism and Ruthlessness, but using a sterility plague so readily doesn't sit well with me.

P.S. Charsen nice Left for Dead videos....but how is the wedding mod shaping up?

not too bad, the biggest problem i am having is despite having 6GB RAM, the toolset refuses to utilize enough, and so the scenes become choppy, which had made the dalish scene useless. it refuses to run smooth enough for me to work on it further, so i will have to redo it. i've even modified the toolset to run as if it was a 64bit program, but it still is too chuggy sometimes. not much i can do, i guess.

i am working on the dwarf commoner wedding now though. maybe a video coming soon.. i move across the country later this week so i want to get the video out before then.

There's a fix discussed somewhere in the Toolset forum section, which removes the 3gb memory limit from the executable, have you tried that? And performance-wise, apparently enforcing low level of detail on the characters can help...

Yeah, I had the problem with the toolset unable to use more memory as well.

I fixed it by using CFF Explorer.

Using it, open the Toolset exe then expand the NT Headers Branch, then in file header you will find a line called Characteristics and there will be a click here button there...click it and a small tab will pop up allowing you to change the Toolset.exe to handle over 2gb of RAM. Then just save the exe using the program and it should work I think.

P.S. What do you use to render your videos to youtube? those black bars are annoying....

i did the fix where i used CFF editor, but that had literally no effect on the scenes. =/

where do i enforce low level of detail on characters? this is all i found really.

edit:
i use windows movie maker (sigh) to render them. takes the frap videos and uploads them directly to youtube, then i can delete the godawful huge fraps vids. what black bars?

I envy your internet if you can do that. Movie Maker makes me want to puke. I tried using it once...I closed it 2 minutes later.

As for Black bars, all your videos on youtube have black bars to the sides. I found a way ( or well more but this one is the easiest one ) to remove them.

There is a nifty little rendering program called Virtual Dub ( it's free, but you can't add music or stuff like that, but it's very good for reducing the file size and removing black bars for youtube videos ).

http://www.virtualdub.org/

I'll just copy my setting for it from my youtube page.

I use DivX codec at 1 Pass Quality Based with default Quantizer ( 4 ), resized to 1280x720 for no black bars and fastest method of rendering.

This gives me clips of about 200-300 Mb that take 5-7 minutes to render, which I then upload to Youtube.

My PC is crap, so it would probably take you less depending on your own PC. I use DivX Pro, but even the trial DivX codec is good enough for rendering.

Anyhow....started a new game. X3: The Terran Conflict, reminds of Eve Online in a way.

It is set per-character in the cutscene, in the Object Inspector panel. Look for the LOD field, it is set to "cutscene" by default which is equivalent of _0 meshes. The "medium" setting enforces use of the _2 meshes instead and "low" is for _3 mesh. "High" is either the same as _0 or is linked to non-existent _1 level and as such has no effect.

Alternatively there's "use master LOD" switch in the properties of the cutscene, which causes engine to calculate LOD automatically depending how far the items are from the "Global" object.  Don't know if this one has any actual effect in the cutscene editor, though.

tmp, as usual you have saved me a major headache. i think this has saved my dalish wedding scene from being scraped entirely. of course this makes the models unbearably low poly at medium/low settings, but it helps me design the scenes better and then i can set the LOD back up for the final export. it is still somewhat chuggy but this does help quite a bit. =]

too bad i can't set the area or area objects to be low poly meshes/textures. that would definitely help. but this is a major improvement, thanks tmp!

idk who to bone as Missa Shepard, it's too confusing. Apparently "all of them" isn't allowed :(

Well, since you don't want to go anywhere near Jacob, that leaves Garrus. Thane is too depressing, has extremely creepy, semi-involuntary flashbacks and dead wife issues.

Oh, and he cries when you bed him.

On the flipside, oral contact with his skin can cause hallucinations, so if it's all getting a bit too much, you can just lick him and trip out pretending he's someone else entirely. Like...Zev? Posted ImagePosted Image
Of course, my suggestion of Garrus is also completely unbiased *cough* Posted Image *looks at her sig*

You could also go Kelly, but you can't actually bed her. And she has a major case of "but everyone's so niiiiiiice! *derrrrrp*"

On a completely different topic, that Zev pic by rooster82 is beautiful Posted Image
