Okay, this got weird and stupid, but I don't care. It's sort-of from Zev's POV.
-------
The curves of her under his hands are not the soft curves of a woman, the gentle hills and valleys, but the curves of a drawn bow, still just as artful but with a promise of danger. The gleam of candlelight on her bare skin is the flash of a predator's eyes in the night, beautiful, alluring, something you feel compelled to touch though you know it will bite and scratch and tear you apart. Her limbs are long and shapely, but wicked hard like dragonbone blades.
But not everything about her is so tight and violent. Her hair is a shadow found when you least expect it and most need it. Her voice is red silk, sensual and smooth. It is her eyes, though, that always draw him in, always draw him back.
The set of her jaw eases, the hard tension of her eases, when he is near, when she is beside him like this—never beneath, not unless she is under the attentions of his mouth, because if they are to be partners in murder they must be partners in this, she insists. And he likes her sharp mind, her tough independence, and that she is willing to accept his help but has little need of it. Any ease in taking a mark makes more time for moments like this, after all.
And none of it is for show. There is a softness somewhere in her, yes, but it is nameless, and she hides it behind no masks, simply has little use for it. She is, in short, perfect—the perfect Crow, the perfect partner.

Okay! So, I fail at toolset; this is all Character Creator. Also, I am like the anti-Gilsa when it comes to screenshots. I finally figured out how to get her to come close to the camera, but only seemed to be able to do the trick in the shade.

Shadow, I'm still pissed that the scene didn't just go like this:
Zev: You're a douche.
Alistair: ::cries in beer::
