Okay, this got weird and stupid, but I don't care. It's Rinna from Zev's POV.
-------
The curves of her under his hands are not the soft curves of a woman, the gentle hills and valleys, but the curves of a drawn bow, still just as artful but with a promise of danger. The gleam of candlelight on her bare skin is the flash of a predator's eyes in the night, beautiful, alluring, something you feel compelled to touch though you know it will bite and scratch and tear you apart. Her limbs are long and shapely, but wicked hard like dragonbone blades.

But not everything about her is so tight and violent. Her hair is a shadow found when you least expect it and most need it. Her voice is red silk, sensual and smooth. It is her eyes, though, that always draw him in, always draw him back.

The set of her jaw eases, the hard tension of her eases, when he is near, when she is beside him like this—never beneath, not unless she is under the attentions of his mouth, because if they are to be partners in murder they must be partners in this, she insists. And he likes her sharp mind, her tough independence, and that she is willing to accept his help but has little need of it. Any ease in taking a mark makes more time for moments like this, after all.

And none of it is for show. There is a softness somewhere in her, yes, but it is nameless, and she hides it behind no masks, simply has little use for it. She is, in short, perfect—the perfect Crow, the perfect partner.

Okay!  So, I fail at toolset; this is all Character Creator.  Also, I am like the anti-Gilsa when it comes to screenshots.  I finally figured out how to get her to come close to the camera, but only seemed to be able to do the trick in the shade.

You can have a party member stand behind and use their perspective to snap with.

Tried that.  Still fail.

I don't know what the conditions are, but sometimes when I pan around, the camera will zoom in really close to the face.  With this one... no dice.  It seemed like if I put her near a wall, swung the camera around so its back was to the wall, and then used keyboard commands to get her to come up to the camera, it worked.  But not outside, where she'd just sidestep down the scenery.  Only in poorly-lit Tevinter ruins.  :pinched:

Aimo art! Drawn for my fanfic and for #181 of PC Powerplay (Australian gaming mag, so if you live in the area...) (Thanks, Meghann!)

Alistair and Zevran from a scene in The Hunt.

Posted Image

(Larger version)

The scene it was based off...

***
Silently, Zevran righted the chair Asleena had toppled earlier in her anger. He eased himself into the seat, readied himself for maximum effect, then lifted both legs and brought his booted feet slamming down atop the table.

Thus it was that when Alistair's head jerked up to stare, he was faced with Zevran Arainai, chair tilted back ever-so-slightly, a pristine glass of expensive red held in one hand, and gold-glinted eyes relishing the surprise at his appearance.

"I heard something about you wanting to say 'hello', my friend," the assassin said, and smiled pleasantly. "Miss me?"

@ Tellervo: damn, I just love how you describe characters! I have such a weakness for that!

Shadow, I'm still pissed that the scene didn't just go like this:

Zev: You're a douche.
Alistair: ::cries in beer::

Awesome art, though!

Everyone who commented on the Rinna thing: Thanks, I guess. I dunno, it seems kind of lulzy to me, but I think that about most of my writing. My attention span is shot tonight, and I seem only capable of stuff about a page or less. Which is extremely unhelpful.

Tellervo, that's wonderful! :)

@Shadow of Light Dragon

The little abstract you posted made me curious and I have begun to read "The Hunt". I like your writing style. :)

@soignee's challenge - I'm glad that I don't have to decide, I could not. If the question were, which is the funniest Rinna - well, that would be easy. :lol:

Have a nice weekend everybody! B)

rofl :P For an assassin, Zevran can be remarkably indirect when making a point. ;)

@maradeux - Thanks! I hope you enjoy it. :)

*is also tempted to get out the ol' tablet and try some Rinna art, but is going out ;_;*

I just wanted Zev to make him cry, and for him to cry in his beer, really. Schadenfreude.

@Payroo: As much as I love the animations, I think my favorite thing you've done with your DS so far is the wetlands piece(s).
