PS the person who did dialogue tweaks totally needs to make that the default zev on dwarf kiss...atleast for males

If DT had that as the kiss for a dwarf, I would probably never play another class again.

Edit: Actually, that kiss is so passionate I'm not sure how it would play out in places other than the camp.

Leliena's kneel down kiss was played for male dwarves outside of camp so probably exactly the same as that

and I would love that to be the default male dwarf kiss just because of how awful the standard one is

Hmm. My DE isn't getting along with anyone. Have Alistair at -13, Zevran at +2 (got a -9 with the speech where he talks about being an assasian... and "We're not so very different"....so I gave him a gift) and she hasn't been able to stay on his good side since! Even Leliana is cold to her! Poor poor DE girl, she really never learned any outside world social graces. Sten is at +14, but he's at half the level where he usually is! Thank goodness Muncher still loves her. I have a feeling this is going to be a very cold and lonely playthrough unless my PC can loosen up a little.



And I have only played a CE up to this point, and they were all way too happy to kill Loghain. I can't see my DE caring one way or the other about him living/dying.....we'll see how her and Alistair get along by that time. She may just spare Loghain to ****** Alistair off even further....since the way things are going, they aren't going to be good buddies at all.

I have to agree.  The actual kiss is about 100x better, but they do show that it's the best kiss in the game.

Edit: I actually really like the standard dwarf kiss, though.  I'm assuming it's the same one -- where he gives that smoldering look, they kiss for a bit, then he pulls back and looks in her eyes.  But this one was a complete surprise.  I like how the camera is focused on the dwarf's face at the beginning while Zev kneels -- the only other kiss I can think of that starts focused on the warden's face is the sacrifice kiss.

I found it much easier to get alistair pissed off at me during my one play as a male character. But it helps if right off you don't praise duncan--you dont even have to dismiss him, just dont praise him, and then. I think he drops faster for male nasty comments, but I've never purposely tried to get a female nasty.



Had a couple of new dialogs tonight. One where Zevran begs me to kill Ruck since he's so miserable. He was so sincere. so I did. Slash! I expected Alistair to complain but he didnt', and I left Wynne at home because she started lecturing me about my Elvishness and I didn't want to deal. So that might be why it's new for me. I think this is my first time with Morrigan there.



I have to say that Morrigan can be wonderfully sweet to females once you get to friend status. I've had the "I've never had a friend speech" twice and it was different on the elf than on the human but she was very nice both times. She didnt even diss me too much when she started asking why i was making goo goo eyes at Alistair. I used the response "he's an idiot but he's my idiot" and I didn't even get disapproval from her. And that's kind of how I'm feeling about him right now because of course he's not sure what to do with me, since I'm an elf, he's probably gonna be king, and doesn't think we can have kids etc etc... I do wish that once you hit love or adore that they initiate some kissing once in a while. it seems to drop off right there...



oh and thanks for the hints on using bows. I had a feeling that bows seemed to work better with the skills but i didnt really pay much attention and unlike how I play MMO's I'm not really paying all that much attention to char builds. I figure I can respec them if I need to.( though I haven't done that yet)

I added a third screen shot to that post -- the start of the kiss, when the camera is focused on the dwarf's face.



And Zevran at Ruck . . . it is heartbreaking. It shows, if you don't have Ogrhen with you, how horrible he feels about that whole thing, but that killing him is a kindness. It just feels bad no matter what. I like Morrigan, too. She disapproves a lot, but she also has so many gifts it makes no difference.

edit: I also notice your dwarf is wearing blood dragon plate... I find that armor to be so fugly I end up selling it at the first merchant I can :3

That's actually an older game -- my dwarf noble.  She ended up in legion of the dead armor which is my favorite.  I was going after screen shots of the entire Wynne-romance conversation instead of just the beginning (Sereda is awesome, though).  And Zev fan-girl I am, I had to at least play the massage conversation  Ummm, several times, in fact :innocent:  For screenshots!  And now I'll do it one more time for the end of the kiss, and add that to the post as well!

Edit: Actually, it's fading out as he's putting his arms around her, so the screen shot is too dark.  Gah.  You know, the dwarf tent scene is the only Zev/female tent scene where he kisses her as well.  I'm pretty sure he doesn't kiss the human or elf female during the tent scene, but he does at the start of the dwarf one -- I mean IN the tent, of course.

well Baren #2 will be getting screenies of said make out session no point in me taking pics of my dwarf noble...

however baren 2 is back on hold though I need to trudge through the deep roads now with Alexander, zev, Oghren and Morrigan (then i get to go to the elf forest and thats it for the treaty quests)

Ug, *almost* done trudging through the Deep Roads. At least they're going faster this time. I even slaughtered the Broodmother first try, no potions or heals or anything. (This girl of mine is ridiculous, she does not mess around.) But I think I'll have to leave the Anvil for tomorrow, my head hurts from overexposure to ugly caverns (and shriek screams- ouch).



*sigh* I need to revisit some Zevran loving soon- things are getting lonely without him. It kind of feels like no one in the world is listening... Too bad I'm not able to load up that dwarf kiss whenever I want. =(

This ranger thing is still bugging me. I've tried to find play-throughs where my PC is right around the point when the "You unlocked a specialty" pops up in Lothering, but I can't find a single one.  Darn.

But I am sure that I never bought a specialty book, that's why it took me so long to unlock Blood Mage. I searched high and low for a manual, because I'm a chicken when it comes to doing bad things to kids. In the end, I sort of cheated. Made the deal, and then re-loaded. Sad, I know.

I need to put my saves and mods somewhere, and do a re-install. This is really bothering me now. Especially that my Leliana is so very glitched. Her romance flag seems to fire, no matter what my PC does. The people at camp glitch into weird positions. Leliana stood by Sten one time (raises eyebrow), one time Alistair stood in the middle of the fire, an Morrigan even warped to Shale.

It didn't bother me too much, even Sten's quest never completing in the journal, and other such goodies, but now I'm thinking that I might be missing stuff. Come to think of it, I never did find any manual (got reaper by save and reload as well), ever. Felon's coat also never showed, even after doing all 5 quests, and before I started harassing Herren with the drake/dragon scales.

Slim Couldry also never shows up, even though I took pains to give my rogue a point in stealing (she had stealth too), just so I could do that encounter.

Well, heck. I hate this. I better uninstall, defrag, do a disk clean-up, and then reinstall. I hope this works.

You have to buy the ranger manual with Bodahn. Did you check him?

And I unlocked Blood Mage that way too. And that was on my EVIL character. I suck at being evil.

He has two books only, one gives a mage a spell, and the other one gives a talent. They are called "Tome of Physical Technique", and the other is called "Tome of Arcane something". No other books, ever.

I don't have any book mod, either, and I did play the first game without any mods whatsoever. *Sigh*.

I guess I better get started on that reinstall as soon as I get the chance.

I hope I haven't missed any real good Zevran stuff, but having been a part of this thread from the beginning, I know that I most likely didn't. The only time he glitched was when Leliana suddenly stood by Sten, and he took her place. The other glitch is a good one. With my luck, the reinstall will wipe the 'love' glitch, but leaves everything else, gah!

Have you patched yet? Maybe that will fix it.

Yeah, I have. Come to think of it, that patch introduced some bugs as well. Suddenly I have lootable corpses that are empty, and other such fine things.

Thanks, Kryyptehk. At least I can now be sure that a complete reinstall is the only way to go. Maybe it will even stop my regular CTD's. I get them entering the bar and the chantry in Lothering, and exiting the basement in Redcliffe. Regularly, without fail. I'm on autmatic "save at these points, and don't forget it".

Leliana does move around a lot; she hangs out by Sten once both their approval gets higher. Alistair shouldn't be in the fire, though!

Yeah, lol. Just because my PC just broke off with him, is no reason to jump into the fire. Neither should Morrigan seek out Shale, especially because Shale is very suspicious of her



Well, I just moved all my private data, saves and mods, getting ready to uninstall/reinstall. I hate that defragging takes such a long time, bleh.



I think I'll just go write in my Journal some more, doing my own expansion. My bestest girl ever has received a message from her King to come to Denerim. She will, of course, take her husband along, and Zevran wouldn't have it any other way. Alissande is hoping that Alistair has now forgiven her, and they can be friends again.

I'll have to wait and read about how Awakening goes, but I can start a prologue, including how things worked out in Ferelden regarding the elves, and the fact that she up and married an elf. I wonder how the nobles in Denerim will react to her and Zevran. Fergus, of course, has completely accepted Zevran as his brother-in-law. He knows his head-strong sister, and he knows that raging against the union will only serve to drive his sister away.

Actually, if you can Intimidate well enough (my mage had 4 levels of Coercion REALLY early  ), you can make the demon leave Connor AND strong-arm her into teaching you Blood Magic. ;D  But I still reloaded that game, because wanting Blood Magic at all is totally out of character for the guy.  Jowan set a really bad example.


Hee, I forgot to upload a screenshot, but last night I caught my CE and Zevran staring at each other for long intervals.  The CE wasn't even really facing Zevran, they were in their "marching formation", but he turned his head to look at him.  Constantly.  And more often than not, Zevran was looking back. Adorable.

I notice that all the time. Zevran does stare at the Warden, and she stares right back. With my bestest girl ever, in the Deep Roads I took a long time thinking about what to do next, forgetting to pause them initially. Then I realized that the two of them couldn't keep their eyes off one another, and deliberately watched, because it was so sweet... awwww. I could guess Alistair and Morrigan were getting quite annoyed with me for having them all stand around, hehe. But I can equally guess that my PC and Zevran didn't mind.



If your CE is the same one that was your prior avatar, I can understand that. He is gorgeous.

If you haven't heard them before, Jenovan, get ready for some laughs. Shale is also one of the companions who seem to come to understand what Zevran is saying, at least on some level. Oghren is the other one, imo. He just more or less says it in the 'Oghren' way.
