I only know the male rejection version, because I read that one.

What does he say to the femWarden if his approval is too low for 'tenting'?

??? That can happen? I've never seen the option to invite him until after he is willing to go. Hmmmmm, I need to test something -- a small approval gain on his "future" talk.

Lol, would be kinda hard, because I don't have a male PC, and my girls don't ever got rejected by him.

****SPOILERS INCOMING************
(As a male character pursuing romance at low disposition) "I don't swing that way."
Source: http://dragonage.wik.../Zevran_Arainai
*********SPOILERS OUTGOING******************
I know it's not canon or something in the like. I just took it at face value. You see, I never had the problem of romancing him, and I don't even know if there's a rejection for anyone by first-hand knowledge. My girls always wait until he is at least in the 30's before turning on any kind of romance. It makes more sense for my PCs that way.
I've never paid attention to any come-on lines that might/might not pop up earlier.

Heck, even if the answer is given I'll have to try it out just to see the facial expressions and voice acting.
My Poor DE is hoarding gifts to give him. She can't seem to maneuver her way through a conversation with him and get approval.

I assumed she meant she held off on going to the tent with Zevran until after he fell in love. When you do that, you get the same after speech (where do we go from here) as you do if you don't. However, you actually get different lines when he's rejecting the warden. Dialog tweaks fixes this using recycled dialog, so the timing is off, but it is better than being engaged to Zevran and then hearing him ask that question after having sex for the first time!
Bolded by me. This is why I asked. I must've misread the post and I thought Ejoslin was talking about Zevran rejecting a 'tent' invitation in the early stages of their relationship.
Sorry all. I didn't mean to start a confusion. I really have to get the game installed, I definitely am suffering from some kind of withdrawal.
Edited: I always wondered what line he would throw at the femWarden, because that line for the male warden was an outright lie. He does swing that way. He swings all kinds of ways, actually

I meant after he fell in love -- that's what she was asking about. When the warden asks him to the tent and he says no because he's confused about his feelings. If they've never been to the tent, he says something like, "Under normal circumstances, I would, trust me."
Edit: And the warden has different dialog choices as well. She can say things like, "Oh, that was clumsy of me" or "I'm sorry. I thought that was something you'd be interested in."
Second edit: Which is why it's jarring. You're finally engaged, you consummate your relationship, then you get his standard "I will ask nothing more of you than you're willing to give," speech. But of course, you SHOULD be way beyond this, which is why DT fixes it.

Sorry about the misunderstanding. After reading your post through, I know that the translation machine in my head is not working properly today. I totally disconnected that line from the rest of your post.
I was curious about that line in the wiki ever since I read it, because it is such an out and out lie by Zevran, and I thought I found someone who caught the femWarden rejection line.
I should know better than to just trust a wiki, sheesh.

How big is that hit? For male and female wardens, if someone knows? My PCs never rejected him, so I have no idea, but I thought it was just like -5 or something like this?
Unless the poster thinks -5 is a big hit, of course.

Heh, one of Zevran's responses to the warden is, "I don't want have a discussion about "feelings" right now!" It's worth holding off to see it, especially since you have DT. Just, umm, use the magic of reload to keep yourself strong.
I'm going to have to start writing things down. There's too much Zevran goodness to miss if I don't

First I was afraid the screen wouldn't be right, Zevran was number 4 in my party with Shale and Sten. I was afraid he would say something and I would see it from my Warden's point of view (Shale + Sten standing in the way). Thank god, that didn't happen.
Since everyone with a boyfriend also has a crush on him, I guess I don't need a boyfriend. Lucky me, more time to spend on Zevran, lol. Though my schoolwork might get in the way... I'm already putting my schoolwork in Dragon Age, I got a dog named Huxleyi.

Well, like anything else, it depends on how you do it. If you take a flirtatious line (what is it you fancy, for instance), and then have him come on to you and you reject him, you WILL take an approval hit. But if you avoid the romance starter lines, you get no hit.
In that scenario it actually makes sense to get a hit, even a big one, because in truth, you are leading him on instead of clearing the lines. I'd be po'd too if someone did that to me.

But definitely the easiest way to hold off is to save whenever you're in camp. That way if you get desperate it's really easy to go back to a certain point, raise or lower approval as needed, and try out different points in the relationship. That way you can still get all the juicy bits even when you're actually holding off. XD
About the assassins in Antiva thoughts, I'd agree that there's really a sense of thrill in it for the targets. Leliana talked about how much fun the nobles in Orlais had with it, and it seems to be similar in Antiva. Considering just how expensive the Crows are to hire, I'm sure the targets almost feel honored to have a contract on them. And although they may try to escape, I'm sure they understand perfectly well that the Crows *don't* fail. (The codex if you kill Zevran outright says it was probably the Crows' first failed mission.)
So even the people who tried to fight back, I think, saw it as a bit of a game. The mage tried to trick him and turn him in, while the other target tried to see if she could seduce him enough for him to spare her. It doesn't really sound like they were 'fighting' back, so much as they were toying with fate to see how long they could put off death. After all, even if they got rid of Zevran, someone else would be sent after them anyway.

In my experience, it's always a decent hit. At least -8, more likely -10 or -11 even for a "nice" letdown. Here I'm talking about one where the romance was started somehow and you break it off. People might be comparing it to an Alistair break-up. He, in some circumstances, even gives a +1!Sabriana wrote...
Ok, I've another question. I just read the "Best friends" thread, and someone wrote that rejecting the Zevran romance gives a big approval hit.

Here's how my PC even got a +2 with Alistair:
Zevran calls her on the carpet, and tells her "It's him or me"
PC goes through dialogue with Zevran until she can choose the "I want you, no question" line
PC goes over to Alistair, and picks "I wish it hadn't come to that"
Further on, she picks "I'm glad you are alright with that."
Ta-da, +2 from Alistair.
