ok this is completely off topic but heres more reason to dislike RtO

not only could they not keep various characters in character and gives no explanation why they act the way they are *glares at Zevran*

Im reading the calling now and Marics blade is described as "pale dragon bone with glowing sapphire runes" ...in Return to ripoffstigar the blade is black with gold runes (plus if your not a high level or dont upgrade it its not even dragonbone!)

yay continuity!

Woot. It happened again:

Image IPB

Check his level, gals and guys. All my PC and gang has completed is the Redcliffe arch (no 'ashes). My PC hasn't even been told the 'Rinna' story yet, nor has she gone 'tenting' yet. She also still has some of his gifts, including the dalish gloves. Well, to be accurate, she hasn't gotten them yet.

This is another warrior, I do like her a lot, she has a fun personality, but no other will ever take the place of my bestest girl ever. I know, I so planned to play Lisse (DC), but I keep getting side-tracked.

I've thought about it, and this one is definitely going to ask for Gwaren, and she will be with Zevran. I thought about it, and the nobles most likely won't mind too much if the husband of the Teyrna is an elf. He's one of the heroes of Ferelden, and their offspring (if they're lucky enough, but I can imagine that if anyone can, Zevran is it) will be human. If a non-human player can ask for Gwaren, so can my Cousland. She is, after all, old noble blood.

If an elf can be a bann for the alienage (at least that's what I understood if the elf-boon is picked) then the nobles should be satisfied with a Cousland Teyrna and  her elven consort. I doubt Zevran would mind, I don't think it matters to him not to be the Teyrn, as long as he can be with his Teyrna.

I first found this thread, and began to lurk about it, back when I was quite honestly obsessed with Alistair. That was also about....110 pages ago XD Needless to say...I am more than convinced that Zevran is awesome...ridiculously so XD
My first playthrough was as a male Surana and it was mostly just for the achievment, but after reading this thread, I'm trying way harder to actually take things slowly so I can get every aspect of Zev's character. aolbart:/1024/id/2B000001B7/3A2D29
I'm currently on my second Zev Romance playthrough as a female CE -points to her avatar- and this thread has been a freaking lifesaver for me. It's strangely difficult to stay in character and yet say the right things to keep a romance going. ^_^;;
Just felt the need to de-lurk myself and put input into the thread ^_^ Am really enjoying my current playthrough, though it's impossible to not flirt shamelessly since everything he says makes me giggle madly in RL, hehe.

I wish I had paid more attention CZ, but I didn't expect it to happen. As far as I remember, she turned the romance on at around 15ish. She was quite nice to him (although, like with my others, she never went for full approval, speaking her mind, but being polite about it), and before I knew it, he was at 75 adore.

My girl was still involved with Alistair at the time, so she got the "him or me" from Zevran, right after his massage offer (which she turned down, nicely, but she turned it down, nevertheless). Broke of with Alistair. By that point I had still the majority of conversations left, she hadn't even asked him about any of his adventures yet, nor his 'history with women' (this conversation might be different for male PCs).

Having done all the side-quests, we set out for the tower, and I checked their stats. I was really surprised to see the 'Love'.

Btw, his "it's him or me" speech when they haven't been to the tent is serious squee to me. I believe he sounds even more insecure and even a bit timid. "We've had our flirtations..."

Well, my elf mage succumbed to Alistair. I wasn't sure I would go that route- it intrigued me to think of what Zevran would do when realizing he had a complete virgin on his hands, heh- but I think it's good this way. She and Alistair will have a tender, playful and relatively brief romance, and she'll still be innocent by Zevran standards when she finally admits it can't go anywhere with A. Meanwhile, Alistair gets a crack at his fellow warden, which I think makes him happy even if it doesn't go anywhere; he gets to be a chip off the Theirin block re. elven lovers; and won't be shuttled off to Morrigan for his first if he has to do the ritual. Also I don't think it will bother Zevran much, so long as she eventually chooses him, since he's still at the point where sex is not connected to love.  Meanwhile it's good for her to be around, for the first time, men who actually respect and value her. Zevran staring and Alistair giving her a rose... what a lucky girl. :D

Welcome to Zevranland, Mimsypeach. Longtitude and lattitude F5 and F9. Pull up a chair, and enjoy the squees and the meltings.

Believe it or not, as much and as extensively we all played with our favorite elf ever, we still find new and exiting things about him.

My current girl also romanced Alistair first, but she's more of the fun-loving type. She is also kind, and wanted Alistair's first time to be as wonderful as possible. She didn't mean for him to fall in love, and feels quite bad about it.

But it's true enough, the rose and the stares make for one lucky girl. Zevran, as a matter of fact, does nothing but stare at her when not in combat. Even when he talks to others.
Not that she doesn't do her share of staring right back, mind you. She find it very intriguing that the first guy she really feels something deeper for is an elf, of all things, and an assassin who tried to kill her to boot (she hasn't had the Rinna talk yet.)

unlike you girls I dont have the tempation of Alistair trying to butt in on my Zevran romance outside of rather amusing post landsmeet glitches

and while I do like the Morrigan romance she isnt really a character most of my characters would romance either for various reasons

and Leliena... lets not go there

You know, I'm seriously thinking about listening to Morrigan this time around. I'm at the point of going to the tower, and I might bring her with me just to get rid of that sanctimonious biddy.

He apology might be the nicest, but I do wonder if it's worth it. I'll try to get through the end of the tower by dumping Wynne right before the final fight, so at least she can't say "I had help." That galls me to no end.

another perk to listening to morrigan at the start of the tower...you arnt forced to see Wynns incredibly stupid fade dream for the billionth time!

Yes, you are right, CZ. That's a perk indeed. My Morrigan has some healing powers, I'll see if I can set her tactics to heal her allies, and I'll bring plenty of potions. We should be ok.

I like Morrigan so much more in the fade. She's po'd about being trapped, and knows very well that she is in the fade. Unlike her supposedly 'superior' fellow mage, who claims to have an 'affinity' for the fade.

Yeah. Right.

Have you tried it yet? Are there repercussions, like not getting Irving and his mages for the final battle if Wynne dies?

have I killed wynn at the start of the tower? yes

however that was with my dwarf noble who didnt bother the litany of adralla and ended up killing a demon possessed Irving during the uldred battle so no I didnt get the mages help

but I dont see why you couldent get there help if you saved them its not as if they know you killed the judgemental old cow

True, they don't know. It's not as if any of my PCs are stupid enough to volunteer that information.

When you do kill her, do you have to kill Petra, Kinnon, and Keili (which would be doing her a favor, imo) too? Or the kids even?

Bleh. I guess I have to do it on auto-combat then, somehow. I actually like Petra and Kinnon. Keili is a whole other matter altogether.

Keili should be the poster child for chantry brainwashing toxicity. Too bad my PC can't tell Wynne about her displeasure about a young woman being twisted like that by the tower.

Zevran and Morrigan had the "why haven't we made love yet" banter just now. I imagine my PC not being too happy with it. To her, sex and love are definitely connected, especially now that she knows she feels something more deeply. I just imagine Zevran pulling her aside and telling her that it's a bet, :)

theres actually a rather interesting banter you can get if your screwing both Morrigan and Zevran(im pretty sure you have to be romancing both of them at the same time iv never gotten it otherwise) and Zevran questions Morrigan on the reasons why she is with the group

rather amusing expecially Morrigans "you want to know what im doing? other than the grey warden that is"

Hehe, that's pretty funny. I can almost hear her say that.

How does she react when the Warden breaks it off with her in favor of Zevran, I wonder? I can picture it all the way from sarcastic to very angry, given her personality.

I've done this.  If I talk to her first, and she's the one who makes me choose, I do get some angry and sarcastic depending upon my dialogue choices... She seems verry frustrated... as much with herself as with my character.  There's a line she says in disguest about how she's acting like an angry housewife.  lol  Couldn't have said it better myself.  But as long as you're gentle with her about it, you don't get that much disaproval.

If it's Zevran that makes me choose, I get a big aproval hit from her for choosing him, and another big aproval hit when I go talk to her.  But what is done is done, so she's actually pretty understanding about it, dialogue wise.  If I tell her I'm sorry, she says, with a humorous light sound in her voice 'Not sorry enough', but you can tell it realy bothers her.  She's a lot like Zev in how she hides what she's realy fealing behind humor at times, and what she says is at times contradictory to her actual aproval.  It's interesting... both ways, I remember her complimenting Zevran... the dialogue is diferent depending upon the situation, but she admits he has his charms, or something like that.  The two seem to have a lot of respect for eachother.  I think she even truly likes him despite often acting ****y in their banter.

I agree ES. At first I didn't like her much, but she has the tendency to grow on my PCs. She is actually quite sweet at times to the female PCs, especially when she realizes that she feels the PC is a friend.

So now she's my mage, I can stomach her "Morrigan disapproves -3" much better than the other one's' sanctimonious preaching.

Strangely enough, even though she disagrees with my PCs a lot, they all end up in the high friend zone with her. The massive approval she gives for the mirror actually made my PCs try and look a little deeper.

Just like Zevran, she doesn't wear her heart on her sleeves, and unless you bother to get to know her, you'll never find out that she is indeed capable of depth. Just like our favorite elf. And yes, I do think that Zevran and Morrigan come to grudgingly (on her part) like each other in the end.

Just butting in, you can still save the mages if you kill Wynne in the beginning. Just get and use the litany yourself.

I'm pretty sure she's alive and or in my party in exactly two of my playhtroughs. Which is very sad, concidering I have a lot of playthroughs. I reaally dislike her!

Morrigan, on the other hand, I like quite a bit. Her friendship track is a lot more meaningful (in my opinion) than Leliana's...And if you're female you don't have the whole accidentally ending up in a romance thing.

The Zevran/Morrigan banters are some of my favorites in the game. :) You can learn a lot about both of their characters though them. Well, and the banter where Zevran finally manages to charm her is just hilarious!

I'm leaning toward it, Arduine. I just can't stomach her anymore. Even though her apology is the nicest one of all regarding Zevran, her nasty 'before' talk is still hard to take.

I just have to figure out a way why my usually quite friendly Warden would attack Wynne. She usually waits until she it attacked first. I wish Petra and Kinnon could be kept alive, though.
