 My current favorite is . . . (I know I posted it before but). I have a few in that album, actually, that are good, including very sad Zevran. Unfortunately, smiling Zevran got banned because there was a dwarf boob in the shot.  Clicky this if you want to see it larger.

It makes a great sense. And Zevran actually matures during the course of the game, becoming more a complete person, while I'd hardly call the harding of Alistair a 'growing up'.

I agree 100%.  I always get the feeling that the Warden has to be both lover and mother to a romanced Alistair.

warden cant be Alistairs Mother! thats a certain old cows Job... then again *looks at RtO* *vomits all over the place*

also Young Duncan is awesome in the calling... I wish we got to see more of him ingame considering hes a sexy beast :3

my best friend is a Kingdom hearts fangirl and even though I have played the games (well the first 3 any ways) she would just go on an on about how hawt riku and sora and Roxas and Axel are...even though I find it disturbing (with the exception of axel there pretty much kids still)

then again considering the games cutscenes its not hard to see why she sees them as couples (even if I think its damn creepy)

Awwwww. Sabriana, you will never EVER win an internet argument! It's just one of those rules of life! And yes, here in the USA, there's a lot of homophobia, and it's a shame. My kids pick up that crap at school, and get into trouble with me for it, but there's a strong cultural bias here. And my area is extremely liberal (the major employer extends benefits to same sex partners, so there's financial incentive for gay couples to be "out"), and still, there's all that garbage here.

They're not the same?  I thought they were.  It's a sweet kiss, and the best of the fem kisses, but does not measure up to this one.  I'd love for him to kneel in the deep roads

is this thread gonna turn into how Sex is a way bigger issue than it should be?XD I should so post a link to the dudes blog I mentioned earlier... he makes really good points and is trying to get people to open up about sex and stuff... I am soo glad that where I am in Vermont the whole gay thing isn't an issue, one of my teachers is gay and married to another guy who works here actually, and they both rock hahaXD

They're not the same?  I thought they were.  It's a sweet kiss, and the best of the fem kisses, but does not measure up to this one.  I'd love for him to kneel in the deep roads

like I said female dwarves got spoiled

and get got stuck with a make out session where you clearly see 1/2 of zevrans face showing while they "kiss" *it really does look like your playing make out session with barbies/action men or whatever crap toys kids have these days)

I knowm Esjoslin. It's just so hard for me to grasp. Our head of state is a woman. Our minister of exterior is a gay man. I just don't seem to be able to grasp this weird view on sexuality.

indeed it is sad... Im just lucky im one of those gay people you really wouldent know is gay unless I told you so (not that im ashamed or anything but dear god its awful at times)

The irony of the US is we're so homophobic on the one hand and yet on the other hand all these people loved "Will and Grace". Still, things ARE better here then they were even 20 years ago, and certainly better than when my (two) gay uncles were young (back in the 40-50s). And we can work to make it better.



I stopped reading the Zev and Leli bashing threads. It's removing the squee-high I usually get from reading this forum. So uncool



One final thought, tho on the Zev/Lel debate. IF you run through each character superficially then Leli comes off "nicer" than Zev. Actually Morrigan comes off ****ier and Wynn nicer if you only do them superficially. The deeper you get into the chars, the more interesting (not always nicer) they become. Deeper Zev is way more moral (in my mind) than Deeper Leliana. To a female, Morrigan can become a sweet friend, even if she still makes ****y comments (ok, she's more like me than I care to admit). Wynn, I think, gets worse with time, which is why I needed to totally ignore her this last play through.



And work is over, and I can go home !!! woot. on to finish the CE game.

Considering Leliana And Zevran seducing their targets, just my two cents (nothing noteworthy), it's the "double standard" to the extreme. I never saw what Zevran did with those two targets as rape, and I don't think he is capable of such a thing either. Sure he may flirt unabashedly, but he NEVER pushes the boundary beyond it, he knows where the line is drawn.

And I don't  get how people got it this idea into their heads.

In my area, I guess its lower working middle-class here in Ol' Missouri, USA, everyone is pretty tolerant. We don't care its your business, and I will not condemn someone for love EVER. The only problems I have seen, are stupid **** teenagers, who of course know everything, trying to pass off their ectremely limited veiws as everyone elses. The smackdown arguments are especially delicious.

So true.  Like many people who play "good" characters, I ran around with Leli, Wynne and Alistair nearly everywhere my first couple games, and thought they were all great (still love Alistair, no complaints there ).  I'm not sure why, but I didn't do Leli's personal quest or else only did it so late in the game that I never even triggered the Marjolaine conversations.  The first time I got those, I did a double-take on some of the things she was saying.  "Wait, what...?  Did you just say..., and with a goofy smile on your face?"  It took me totally by surprise.  I would have been an easy mark for a bard, it seems.

I'm sure if I could get into her character, I'd find the nuances I'm now able to see in Zevran's.  I just can't get past the personality any more to do it, though.   My male HN thinks she looks kind of hot, but the crazy and especially the religious crazy puts him off.  He'd much rather put up with Morrigan's b*tchiness.

And work is over, and I can go home !!! woot. on to finish the CE game.
