I just dumped Alistair for Zevran and I felt soo cruel he looked pretty broken up . Strange thing is I only lost -3 approval so he is still all the way in the love zone. I still have his mother's amulet and I havent gotten the shield yet. Would either of those gifts rekindle the romance if I wanted to? The Zevran romance has been pretty enjoyable so far.
Aside from the poem, but at least he can take criticism

Hmmmmm, with Ali, you may be able to rekindle the romance, though not necessarily, but you'd have to take the obvious dialog choice. If you have a choice that says something like, "Of course I remembered! You're special to me!" you'll rekindle. The good news about Ali is, unlike Leliana, you can't really accidentally start things up.

I've never had the option to start things up after dumping Ali for Zevran once Ali fell in love. But if he hadn't hit adore, then I think I was able to.

So did you tell Zevran after he told you the story of how he got the poem that he is a saint among men?  Hahaha, that's one of my favorite lines in the game.

Say to him, "you killed her anyway?"  when he's telling you the story.

On that note, Zevran's stories almost always have some sort of amusing or comical spin. My first impression was that he was kind of prone to incidents of dumb-luck, but thinking about it, I'm more inclined to think he was deliberately avoiding telling the player anything more grisly. Seems like he first brings up his last mission by accident (the first time where he backs out and refuses to talk about it).

Made me be all "Aww, he's letting his guard down " (I'm lame, I know)

Huh.. now THAT is an interesting thought, and given how blatantly he describes the last mission when he finally tells that story... that would kind of make sense.  At *that* point, he trusts the PC enough, maybe, to know that s/he won't flinch away from the full, horrific description.

To be honest, both my female and my male Warden can't stand Zevran. All I ever gain with him is disapproval and then he always attacks me at some point, and I end up killing him. I guess I must be doing something wrong. Oh well, good riddance.

What are you doing that ticks him off?  I find it hard to get disapproval from him unless I say something rude in conversation.  Maybe you're just tactless!

I'm not much into Zev, which is sort of lousy because I'm gay and he's the only male/male option so I'm always stuck romanceless. I've just never been into jump-in-bed guys. I like a challenge.



What's odd is that in my attempt to be his friend he always falls for me lol. Every single playthrough I get a lovey-dovey ending from him.

Agh. I finally finished my first playthrough romancing Zevran. I was intending to sacrifice myself, but I just couldn't do it. All I could think about was the last few dialogs in which he all but proposed to my PC, and that his dying seemed like it would pretty much destroy Zevran when the PC had just managed to heal him.
I am weak. How, oh how, did I come to love this elf.



P.S. Making Zevran irritated enough to raise his voice is strangely amusing.

P.P.S. I wish there was an earring slot so I could equip Zev's earring.

P.S.P.S. Zev is ridiculously awesome. I started a new game so I could FINALLY do the femPC/Leli romance that'd I'd been pining for since pre-release of game. I miss Zevran already.

I obviously haven't explored all the Zev angles, but the one time he had me flat out laughing out loud was because he was encouraging my mischievousness. I don't think I was romancing him at the time, but he was in my party when I was in Brecilian Camp. I slept with that elf boy and laughed when I got approval points from Zev. And then I went down this horrible route of rubbing the girl's face in it by exploring all the ways I could tell her that her boyfriend was now a MAN. So when the brokenhearted girl confronted the boy, his defense was something like, "But I did it for you!" Zev threw his head back and laughed and he said, "Now why didn't I think of that?"

Sooooo bad!!

See, that's why I read these threads. There is always something I miss, because I can't do certain things. I could never direct my PC to use Cammen. He always comes across to me as a little boy, lol.

So I usually just bring them together, which (also usually) earns me a frown from the Keeper apprentice and Sarel. They're not really mad at me, but tell me that I failed to see their 'ways and traditions' by talking Gheyna into taking vows with an apprentice.
