I may be way off, but I think Zevran is mid-20's and he seems older because he has scars both figurative and literal. He has a bit of a young buck feel about him that makes me think he hasn't yet seen 30.

Yeah, mid-20s or so for Zev sounds about right... Addai's inferences seem spot-on to me.

I do see Zevran as a bit older, but yes, it could be because of the scars on his face. The weariness would definitely be from his lifestyle, not his age. I actually see Alistair as 18-20 though. The way he acts is either because he's a young man, or a weak man, and I prefer to see him as young.

*laaughs* I see Alistair as a weak/naive man. So early 20's (no more than 22 to me) for him.

I can see Zevran being in his mid-late 20's, but not much more than that, especially not north of 30, since if he uses seduction as a technique, his marks are going to want someone younger and more beautiful......(if you were a mark, especially someone older/influential, wouldn't you be more flattered by the attention of a 25 year old than a 35 year old? (think appealing to their vanity/pride) and potentailly more likely to let them get close?)

Edit: But thinking back, maybe it's more his marks using seduction on him, instead of the other way around, then maybe his age wouldn't matter so much. But I still have a mental block of an 18-20 year old being involved with somone almost 2x their age.

I suppose he could have become a full fledged assassin as young as his teens, so I guess mid-20s isn't too far off. It does make me feel a little weird about Isabela, however, as that makes her a straight up cougar.

David Gaider actually replied somewhere about the timeline and Allistair's age. I can't for the life of me find it now. There was an error in the initial printing of the book as well as an error in the timeline used to write some of the codex entries. I think he said that Allistair was in his late 20's, but I can't find it to confirm.



Given how sheltered he would have been in the Templars, it makes sense that he would behave as a younger man even if he was in his 30's. He is very innocent and still believes that people are basically good. Everyone else in the game has had that notion well and truly beaten out of them. It makes him seem much younger than he is. There just isn't a happy ending for him. He is far too gentle for the world in which he was born and I hate shattering his illusions by hardening him. His illusions are kind of nice.



But, that is also the reason I find Zevran so much more appealing as a romantic interest. It feels much more "real".

That sounds about right to me. I always thought mid to late 20s with him. Alistair I always thought was early 20's.

I was in Italy in September 2008, I absolutely loved it. Especially since my grandfather is Northern Italian-Sicilian.

Argh this is one of my last days posting here till March 3rd, then I will be without DA:O, Zev, and you guys till March 15. But the consolation is I'll be in the Caribbean, and I get back the night before Awakenings comes out.

I can see myself falling off the cruise ship while looking into the sunset and imagining Zevran right next to me laughing in that liquid sex voice of his. So here's hoping I survive it.

Well, I'm assuming elves age/mature slower than humans, have longer lifespans. Maybe, just maybe, that can pass on to their human offspring, at least a little? So maybe, Alistair is in his late 20s, but maturity-wise he's still a teen?

Hmm. I'm in Brecelian with Selene right now... I can backtrack to the Camp and check about when I play later. I could swear I remember hearing that too in an earlier playthorugh. I know back in the times of Arlathan elves were immortal, and they somehow lost that immortality. Hmm....

Gheyna (teehee they'll never notice) talks about that. But I have no idea what effect elven blood would have on an elf blooded human. I suppose it's possible that makes them develop differently?

If we're trying to make it fit that he's Fiona's son, then yes. As I'm a proponent of Fiona Alistair, this doesn't really help. XD

You know what, I heard it on my most current playthrough, and I think it was Gheyna. Because I failed at getting her and Cammen together with Coercion, so I was going through her dialogue, which I never did before. It was Gheyna who said it.

Ahh... Well, I already gave Cammen a pelt I had in my inventory to get that quest done so I can't talk to Gheyna now.

I'll hunt for it after I feed my boys.  They object to going hungry while I stoke my obsession.    It is entirely possible that I am remembering it incorrectly, but he did clarify the official timeline.  I'm almost positive it was in the general non-spoilers forum roughly a month to a month and a half ago if anyone else goes hunting while I'm cooking.
