No, still dreary and perhaps worse, but with more clarity maybe? I guess if the road's rough it's better to be able to see the way ahead than blunder around in the fog, to really overdo the metaphors. Thanks for the concern!

It's perfect as is, IMO. It's the most comprehensive romance guide I have ever seen. You have nothing to worry about, you did an absolutely stellar job on it. Thank you for taking the time to do this.

Thank you so much, TripLight. I actually had a lot of fun writing it. Talking about Zevran and his romance is my favorite thing to do these days. What's most important to me is that it's accessible to everyone -- it's hard for me to judge that when it's my own writing.

I'm reading a good ongoing Alistair/Zevran, though. It moves a tad too fast for my taste, but the psychology behind it fits pretty well. It is clearly a hardened Alistair. lol

I know this has come up before, but my male DC finally got his Zev fix, and the male dwarves got the best kiss by far. I'm going to have Zev to +100 just by kissing him.

sami jo, is that the kiss where he gives the smoldering look, kisses for a LONG time, and then pulls back and looks the dwarf in the eyes? If so, the female gets that one as default as well. CZ hates it. Did you by chance get the kneeling kiss for the first visit to the tent? BEST kiss in the game!
*sigh* Ok, enough dwarf squee. I'm playing a city elf this time. Which has a short but sweet kiss!

Zev sort of cuddles into my Warden's shoulder and goes in for a kiss with his eyes closed, then my Warden wraps his arms around him and it goes from sweet to...well...steamy.
I can't decide if the dwarven love scenes with Zev are better by accident, because the devs like dwarves better, or if it is a subtle comment on Zevs views of the various races. Humans have been cruel to him his entire life, and his feelings towards his fellow elves are decidedly mixed.
I love the dwarven back stories, but I have had a beast of a time getting in to playing one, but that kiss may just have solved the problem.

I've never liked Zevran, I don't like sleezy guys. I've always romanced Alistair.

I actually think that the love scenes really reflect on Zevran's views of the races. At least with the female ones, they are all so markedly different AND appropriate. It actually seems strange when doing the Alistair love scenes how they're all the same no matter what the race. With the elf, he is so tender and sweet, with the human, he's a lot more passionate, and with the dwarf, he seems to be enjoying her the most (those smiles, omg -- I love how he smiles all the way through it).
Dwarves probably are the race he has had the least contact with, actually, which may explain that.

I wish his kiss with a male elf were a bit more passionate. :-/ After seeing these kisses I'm a bit disappointed now. It's a nice kiss, but man... I want smoldering make-out kiss like some of the others. Not fair.

Same here. It's a good thing Dristen is a submissive character I created way before DA:O. lol Otherwise it would have been awkward.
I wish my CEF could top Zevran, though. heh heh. She's... realy something. And she's queezy about letting a man be in control or letting a man treat her like a woman. First thing she told Alistair was not to see her as a woman, but as a warrior. (though not in those exact words) Now that I think about it, she should get along well with Sten if she rescues him. I didn't get far yet.
I just imagine her with rope standing over a rented bed shouting 'WHO'S YOUR WARDEN?'. lol The love scenes are a little tame for some of my characters.
