Example #2: You stay in Denerim. What exactly is going to be happening there to keep him from being bored out of his mind? There's only so much bodyguarding one man can do (chicka chicka bow wow, okay not bodyguarding in that sense!). But helping strengthen Alistair's (he just doesn't seem like an Anora supporter) or the Warden's position on the throne? For sure. Most of the assassinations he talks about, are, in fact, politically motivated and it seems to me he'd be well suited for being able to pick out who might become a threat or already is one (like, I don't know, that guy who ALWAYS supports Loghain, even when all the other Banns go against him).
I agree, and I think my HNF will see having to ask Zevran to help her with such things as a cost she chose to bear by becoming queen. Of course she would never "order" him, as if he would take to that anyway, but being a cunning rogue herself, she is going to be doing the low-down work of hers and Alistair's reign. That's how she's seen it from day one when she tried to spare Loghain (at least from public execution), deferred to Alistair, but did the execution herself. She is Alistair's lieutenant, so that he can be the good guy. In this, Zevran will be an invaluable partner, and I think he'll willingly bear the ugliness with her. I actually think that they'll always have a closeness that will probably drive Alistair crazy at times, though she would never be unfaithful.
I do absolutely think the Crows will come after him. They'll all be counting on it.
Example #3: You travel. This one is open to a lot of interpretation. Maybe you two go to Par Vollen, like he talks about. Maybe the Qun give you both jobs. I dunno, as a mage, I'd be petrified to step foot in that country, they'd cut out my tongue and throw me in jail. But he'd probably need to assassinate some people to rescue me (hopefully before my tongue gets cut out).
This is what I've thought of doing with my mage- traveling, that is. She's been locked up in that damn Tower for most of her life and the idea of seeing a bit of the world with Zevran is enticing. I think she would wish they could go to Antiva, even just to sneak in for a little while. It would no doubt be too dangerous, but the way he talks about rain while the flowers are in bloom, and his own homesickness, makes her wish they could see it.
She and Zevran are finally in the tent now. It worked out very sweetly. He offered her the massage, but semi-virginal thing that she is, she turned him down from nervousness. How intimidating is it to be reminded that you've had exactly one lover and he's an expert? However, she kept talking to him and he first offered her the poem, then thanked her for helping him leave the Crows. I picture that they actually talked long into the night, she all the while trying to work up the courage to say that she really did want to spend the night with him. His vow that he would be with her to the end with the Blight pushed her over the edge. However, she asked him about love afterwards, so that was a -4 overall. I'm going to let it stand, however. It's what she really wanted to know. Poor thing, she is coming to believe that no man is ever going to stay with her and actually love her. She thinks Zevran will tire of her and move on eventually, probably sooner rather than later. She is in for a sweet surprise, of course. I love the Zevran romance!!!! <3
