Okay, I'm bored. I've not had a day off in the middle of the week for so long, I don't know what to do until tonight. Going out for pizza and stuffeth with friends then, hehe. So I messed aroung with screenies, and I will now force them onto all of you muhahahaha.

lol Ah... the battle glitches. I don't know what went wrong, but after I updated my graphics card, I'd have to tell my characters to use poltaces two or three times before they'd follow through, or else they just keep overriding with auto-atack. I'd had the problem with Alistair doing that before, but not so many times in a row, and it used to only be him.

Sten always dies because of that, Wynne refuses to take lyrium for the same reason. So I'm pretty much dead while fighting the Archdemon because they keep auto attacking.
Friday arrives my new gcard, yay!

It has taken me 3 hours to read everything here, what the hell happened and why do I see Wynne's face everywhere?

Ugh, you still have problems with your card? Sorry to hear that.
My amazon 2 does this only with bow and arrow. No matter where she stands, and how many bad girls and guys come after her, she shoots only once. I have to keep clicking the target. She says "Oh. Alright." and shoots. Every time.

I've been experimenting with her (not in a bad way, mind you ), and have her spec'd as a DW, and gave her some archery specialties. Perhaps that did it, I don't know. She does a lot of goofy things though. But they are also funny, so I'll just let her.

The hair actually side-tracked me from my DC. It looked so good on my HN, that I couldn't help playing her. I kept telling myself that I would only play a little. Yeah. That worked.

As for Wynne, scary, isn't it? I woke up, turned on the PC and wandered in here. I needed no coffee after that, the scare factor woke me up. Utterly.

Me laptop is still dead, I hope it will start once I'm ready to save my mage. I wanted to do it last night, but Desperate Housewives was on so...



The card is for my pc, I received the gcard 1 week ago, but my pc didn't take it. So I went back to the store, it had something to do with not having enough power so I need to do something with wires and stuff. Knowing me I will blow up my pc, so I'm waiting for my sister's boyfriend and he comes next friday.



My first girl is an accomplished rogue with the arrow of slaying tree, she has the bad habit to shoot 2 arrows and then wait till she gets attacked and then she shoots back. With normal attacks it is annoying, but when opponents start shooting arrow of slaying at her, she goes down pretty fast. And then my dear friend Wynn has to force field her again.

Oops. I forgot about the arrow of slaying. She hasn't gotten there yet, and she is so strong that she can stand far off, picking off the bad girls/guys. They miss often, the enemy archers don't come charging up. But they do have the higher bracket archery points. One cultist archer shot a scattershot at her. Good thing he missed, phew.

By the time he reloaded, Zevran, Alistair, and Dog were at him. Dog has 'overwhelm', and he did just that with Zevran and Alistair dancing around the felled archer in circles, trying to find open spots so they could join in. It was very funny to watch.

I always feel sorry for the mages once Dog learns overwhelm or when Zev's blight wolf suddenly jumps them.

Think I'm going to look into all that mod stuff, somethings seem really interesting and I want to be able to kiss Zevran everywhere and not only in camp. That is the most stupid thing of all, the fact that you can't choose 'kiss him' in the dialogue options.

Yes, Dialogue Tweaks is great. You even hear the other companions comment on the public kiss.

It fixes many other things as well. You get to hear a better conversation if Zevran and the PC have their first 'tent' time after Zevran falls in love. The usual one felt really jarring, it's the same one the PC gets before Zevran falls in love. It also fixes some of the messed up Alistair end-game dialogues.

Now we just need a fix for the FemPC/Zevran ultimatum where Leliana is concerned. He seems to think that either Leliana or the PC are male, and another one for the epilogue where Zevran suddenly goes off with a FemWarden, even though the romanced PC is male.

There's a way to do nude models without the erections but you have to delete/replace some of the files. I did all but Sten one go round and Ashes was a bit of a surprise that time

Oh yeah, haven't checked that show out yet. Was a big fan of BSG but kinda hesitated with Caprica. Buuut.. I think I should start watching it now that you mention it... 

I love tattoos though. And tattoos on a sinuous assassin, well, Zevran definitely got something going on there. I wonder what the story is behind Dalish tattoos anyway? I'm sure it's covered somewhere, but I never seemed to run across it as a human mage. I guess it's another reason to do the elf origin.

You can get a codex entry (on the PS3 at least) about Dalish tats by clicking on the paint pots in their camp - I think they're located roughly between the triage area and the fellow that wants you to look for his wife (sorry, just got to work & no references).   It's a coming of age ritual, with the unusually humane proviso that if the child can't take the pain it's nothing to be ashamed of;  they just stop and try again when the individual feels ready.

You know, I am so envious of all the modding options!  Now that I've finally aquired a computer that can handle the graphics, I can see the writing on the wall (screen?) - reinvesting in all the DAO for PC.   Assuming there's anything left after the Feds take their pound of flesh in April. >_<

This toon and Zev have matching tattoos - I planned it that way this go round...I still can't figure out how to take screenies though - supposedly "print screen" does it on my key mapping, but I get nada when I press it *sighs* if I can figure it out I'll post some pix side by side...



I like the 'natural bodies' for the tent scenes, but I would rather the corpses in Ft. Drakon not be so happy to see my CE female warden! LOL...and the boner on King Cailan yes, is disconcerting. I may have to see if there is some way to rectify that by removing some files.



Gosh didn't peek at the thread for a day and already missed ten pages LOL and a juicy ten pages it looks like! ;-)

Thanks for the compliments, I appreciate it. Both my warriors are actually fun. My bestest girl ever was one heck of a play-through, everything somehow fit together, and Zevran glitched into 'love' early.

This one is funny as heck. She is certainly glitched somehow, but it makes for funny game-play. And once again Zevran glitched into 'love' early on, very early on, as a matter of fact.

I don't have the 'saluting soldier', but I do have "Natural Bodies". Iirc, there are files who have the 'sleeping soldier' too, but it's been a while, so it could be that the creator changed the files.

I just checked, and the "natural bodies" has a sub-folder called 'variants'. Apparently the guys come in 3 flavors, (circumsized, flaccid, erect). Erect is the default. I took that one out, and the circumsized one. Works as advertised. Although this is pretty funny. Perhaps I should stick the default back, and see for myself. For research. Yay for science...ahem.

It definitely is a different dynamic having them go to the tent first after Taliesin.  She trusts him completely now- if he wanted her dead all he had to do was leave her in Fort Drakon- but as lovers they are walking around each other like cats and rocking chairs.  Like Sabriana says, it would be jarring if he had already confessed love to get his offer of the poem or the after-tent talk, where he is still trying so hard to pretend it's casual, but for this game it works out perfectly.  It's painful to see Zevran fighting so hard against it.

And just to wipe that image from our minds, Zevran pleading for the elves.

Totally agreed.  I may have giggled stupidly for a minute or two after hearing that the first time.

I temporarily take the folder out of my overrides if I'm going somewhere like Ft Drakon or Ostagar :|  I mean, honestly, the only time I would want to see that stuff is tent scenes, and I don't use those THAT much. XD  But it's nice to not have the weird smallclothes in those special moments. ;D


Hmm, Zevran pondering for today... I'm trying to finish the game up with my CE, and he got Morrigan's offer last night.  Of course, she has the nerve to bring up Zevran and try to coerce the PC that way, but my question is this: What do you think Zevran would say about the Dark Ritual?

In the case of the male Warden, I certainly don't think the act of sleeping with Morrigan would cause Zevran too much heartburn (sex with a hot woman to save lives? I imagine he can dig that ;D).  But for Wardens of either gender: I do wonder how he might weigh the issue of the child and what it would mean.  He is suspicious of Morrigan very early, but other than that, is there any other information/quotes that show he might lean one way or the other?

I think Zevran would be very pragmatic about the Dark Ritual and think that if it saves the Warden's life, it would be a small price to pay. All my elves tend to be pragmatic that way, in fact. Comes from having to fight for survival. They hear Morrigan's words that "only survival matters" and even the more idealistic ones nod with knowing.

Truthfully, I think Morrigan is right.  Zevran would tell her to do whatever takes to ensure her survival.  Zevran seems to deal with situations as they present themselves, not about what-might-bes, if that makes sense.

Agreed. Only bad things come of not doing the ritual. Since Zevran seems to know he can't be the one to slay the Archdemon (leaving only 2 (er, 3, but still) GWs left to do it), I'm quite sure he'd rather you make a god baby with the witch than risk such high odds of you dying.

Just think of the US ending and tell me Zevran would not do or allow anything to stop it from happening...

It is perfectly pitched. I know because I reloaded..., accidentally.... I hit F9 (thrice) when I tried to, ah, dust it off. Yeah. That's it. And you can't prove otherwise, so there.

Good question, Jenovan. It never actually came up for my PCs, because, as much as they like Morrigan, there will be no baby. She's just to darn vague about the whole deal for my PCs to agree. She did bring up Zevran, and I rather liked her saying "What of Zevran? What would he do if his beloved died?"
Well, Loghain dies. He never agrees with her plan anyways, and I'm thinking he doesn't mind too much dying for Ferelden.

The thing is, the kid could be an issue for any country, actually. And just like Shale, he is suspicious of her. I have to think about that. He does like kids, but this would be different, this child could be a savior or a foe. I would think he'd want to speak to Morrigan himself. He's pretty smart with people, and he wouldn't fall for any hedgeing.

Wow.  That is a tough question - and out of the hundred plus pages, don't think it's one that's been discussed yet - Bravo!!!!

I wonder if it would be gender specific?  If he loves a female warden- there is no question, since it wouldn't really affect him.  However, if it's a male warden - that would cause a lot of soul searching I think.  We know from epilogues if you self sacrifice and romance him, you break him.  Zev is never the same again, never loves again, so his love is deep.

I think he would probably allow the ritual if it meant having his male warden with him.  Sex is sex, but love is a different matter, and if saving his beloved warden means his warden sleeping with Morrigan for one night - so be it.  I think in Zev's mind, it would be just.."sex", knowing how the PC feels about him.

We know that Zev does separate the two - from the approval he gives if you do Cammen the favor of taking his virginity (+4) to the threesome at the Pearl...  I'm not sure how he would react from a moral standpoint - I've never killed the mages in the tower (I tried, the best I could make my PC do was leave Wynne in the tower to rebuild with Irving) 

I don't have anything to base it on, but I don't think Zev would mind if you fathered an Old God if that meant spending the rest of his life with you.
