Thanks.
It is not really working... I'v tried 4 times to go back to a date that I had no problems. He starts that proces, reboots and then I get a message 'unknown error.' So that didn't work.
I found my recovery disc... but now the stupid thing is complaining that he can't format my hard drive. I want to toss the thing out of the window. x.x'

I love that look on Zev's face during the Dalish quest, one thing I don't like about that picture is that my big friend Leliana is on it. The hair makes her look a little better, but she's terrible. v.v'

I HAVE To remember NOT to sill Ser Cauthrian this time around so I can get captured and do the Broma Bro's rescue.

I had my CEM seduce the guard and escape himself. Very funny that the guard didn't take off his helmet.

*yeah sketches!* I swear, if I get some time I'm going to attempt a couple of sketches. But it's been so long since I've drawn, and I don't know if my style would suit DA.

Okay, really, I must quit reading pages I missed and get to writing this stupid report.

True, if it came down to "No baby - the Warden dies" then Zevran wouldn't hesitate to agree, either by advising her (FemWarden) to convince Alistair, or telling him (MaleWarden) to go and do it.

But my Warden (the first one) was actually blown away by Morrigan's offer. It really bothered her a lot. I can imagine her talking about it with Zevran, and I think he would want to set her/his mind at ease by talking to Morrigan again. Together with the Warden.

Duh. That is Leliana? I agree, she looks much better that way.

Ah yes, my apologies. Come on though, she looks 1000 times better than normal, at least. She's actually the only companion I've always had with me this game. Me, Dog, Leliana, and Zevran/4th party pretty much slaughter Revenants before they have time to blink. Yeah, we're that awesome.

Also, she has not stealth loved me at all. This has increased her likeability at least 50%.

Hmm, Zevran pondering for today... I'm trying to finish the game up with my CE, and he got Morrigan's offer last night.  Of course, she has the nerve to bring up Zevran and try to coerce the PC that way, but my question is this: What do you think Zevran would say about the Dark Ritual?

In the case of the male Warden, I certainly don't think the act of sleeping with Morrigan would cause Zevran too much heartburn (sex with a hot woman to save lives? I imagine he can dig that ;D).  But for Wardens of either gender: I do wonder how he might weigh the issue of the child and what it would mean.  He is suspicious of Morrigan very early, but other than that, is there any other information/quotes that show he might lean one way or the other?

Wow.  That is a tough question - and out of the hundred plus pages, don't think it's one that's been discussed yet - Bravo!!!! Image IPB

I wonder if it would be gender specific?  If he loves a female warden- there is no question, since it wouldn't really affect him.  However, if it's a male warden - that would cause a lot of soul searching I think.  We know from epilogues if you self sacrifice and romance him, you break him.  Zev is never the same again, never loves again, so his love is deep.

I think he would probably allow the ritual if it meant having his male warden with him.  Sex is sex, but love is a different matter, and if saving his beloved warden means his warden sleeping with Morrigan for one night - so be it.  I think in Zev's mind, it would be just.."sex", knowing how the PC feels about him.

We know that Zev does separate the two - from the approval he gives if you do Cammen the favor of taking his virginity (+4) to the threesome at the Pearl...  I'm not sure how he would react from a moral standpoint - I've never killed the mages in the tower (I tried, the best I could make my PC do was leave Wynne in the tower to rebuild with Irving)

I don't have anything to base it on, but I don't think Zev would mind if you fathered an Old God if that meant spending the rest of his life with you.

This.  I think he'd be more devastated if I refused the ritual:  "You'd prefer to die than live for me?"

(LOL! Hard to believe this hasn't been picked up somewhere!  Glad to bring something new. ;D)

Hmm, with some reminding from you all, I think I have to agree that Zevran would take the short-term view, and would be selfish enough to push for the Ritual.  1 in 3 odds that his Warden must die (in addition to the risk already inherent here, yeesh!), vs. a total unknown about the baby... as ejoslin said, I don't think he's wired to plan that far ahead, and he wants his Warden now. Image IPB

Ahh, that could make for a very painful conversation indeed, with a Warden dead-set against doing the Ritual (or making someone else do it)... Image IPB

Gracious, do you realize we are nearing the 5000 post mark? What will happen? Will they shut us down?

Has that been asked yet? If yes, what was the answer ;)

Heh, my husband (who shares this account with me, it's actually his login but since we could only register the game once I co-opted the forum stuff mostly) asked me this morning "what's all this Zevran stuff?" I told him, what can I say, the Antivans are a tight bunch. :D I don't think he gets it. LOL But he's mostly moved on to Star Trek Online anyway.

I saved my mage-Zevran romance!!! My laptop is totally dead, but the romance is not. <3

I managed to transfer my mage (and DE) from my laptop to my desktop (copy-paste the character is enough).

I've been trying to write this.  He's annoyed my PC even is questioning whether to do the ritual (or rather, have Alistair do the ritual! :P) and thinks if Morrigan becomes a problem, well, mages have to eat and sleep some time.

I am pretty sure that Zevran would want you to do the ritual. Especially since it's not clear at all that the child would be evil. We've seen a couple of examples of spirits who are benevolent or at least neutral (Wynn's; the Lady of the Forest). As you all have said, Sex is sex.

A question -- Where is the thought that Zevran would welcome or be a good father to children. I've heard one one comment made to Shale. Is that it ? I haven't seen anything pro or con in any of my playthroughs, but I haven't seen that Shale conversation yet.

It's a couple of comments made to Shale, actually.  One where he wouldn't mind if the warden got pregnant, and another when he's talking about the highs of life, and having children, and accepting the lows as a tradeoff.

Edit: Copy and paste job from the Wiki of both conversations

  • Zevran: So tell me, Shale... if you had the opportunity to become flesh, would you take it?
  • Shale: It does seem rather preoccupied with this topic.
  • Zevran: Humor me. Would you choose to live? To breathe the air and taste of flesh? Or would you remain the immortal stone that you are?
  • Shale: Would I also get to age and bleed and become sick and die?
  • Zevran: Of course. These are the things we accept for the blessing of being what we are.
  • Shale: Then no thank you. I have no need of such frailties.
  • Zevran: You were once a dwarven woman. With dreams and passions and all the rest. Does that hold no sway for you?
  • Shale: Why would I wish to be that woman again? She gave up her body, willingly.
  • Zevran: And what of family? Of children? Life does not begin and end with yourself.
  • Shale: I... have no desire to produce offspring.
  • Zevran: Your form is wondrous, that's true. But while you do not suffer the lows of life, you also do not experience the highs. It is something to consider.
  • Shale: It is nothing to consider. What it speaks of is impossible.
--
  • Shale: I have noticed that the painted elf seeks the attention of the Grey Warden.
  • Zevran: He certainly does.
  • Shale: (Snorts) I watched many such couplings during the time I spent immobile in Honnleath. Or should I say I was forced to watch. You do know that this usually ends in reproduction. I have seen it many times, indeed.
  • Zevran: Oh? That is not such a terrible thought. Creating a new life can be a great deal of fun.
  • Shale: So you say. I have no idea how a golem is created, but I doubt I shall be creating one anytime soon.
  • Zevran: Just as well, I imagine. Any lover of yours would no doubt be quickly reduced to a puddle of bruises.
  • Shale: So you see me winning the affection of another golem, do you? Most golems are slaves to whomever holds their control rod.
  • Zevran: Funny, it works exactly the same way for us as well.

Oooh, wow... Love the Zevran Approves banner.

And I think Zevran would rather have a god-baby running around than lose his Warden.

Ooh, i've never actually lost the Cauthrine fight.. I might have to this time to hear Zevran's line...

Oh yes, that is one of the best lines in the game.  It's why Alistair ALWAYS falls short of Zevran in the romance department as far as I'm concerned.  Zevran is so proud of being with the Warden, and always sounds so happy when anyone brings it up.  There's no avoiding it, no pretending things aren't exactly as they seem -- he wants the world to know.  It's easy to be flowery and romantic when no one else is listening; it's quite another to want to shout it to everyone.

Favourite prison break combo, Zevran and Sten:
Sten: Astonishing. You have managed to get us even farther from the door than we were when we entered. Well done.
Zevran: Have some faith, my dear qunari. You are in the company of a master assassin.
Sten: I would hate to see a novice, then.

I love Zevran and completely adore Sten, so this is perfect.
