Heh, I've got to try to get Zevran's line about Anora at some point.   My CE turned himself and Alistair in peaceably, so I missed it (CE is such a wet noodle XD).

Oh yeah, on a side note. With the baby talk.  During a conversation with Zev, i had the impression that he was perhaps a father already. Though through the Crows, so perhaps just a "sire" - not sure why I had that impression, it was something he said about children.

My warden did do the dark ritual, I think Zevran would have told him to do it too. There should have been a scene where your warden discusses it with your LI though. I would think Zevran would approve - it's just business. I wonder how the other companions would take it.

I would sooo love to discuss this with any of the companions, particularly the love interest! :|

I've been trying to write this.  He's annoyed my PC even is questioning whether to do the ritual (or rather, have Alistair do the ritual! ) and thinks if Morrigan becomes a problem, well, mages have to eat and sleep some time.

oh, I thought you did if you turned yourself in.  I remember getting snapped back to the scene with the companions at Eamon's estate while I'm in the Fort.  Well, I'm about 2 nights away from that part of the game so I'll rat her out this time.  My end game is to have Alistair do the public dump so I can have Zevran rescue me.

I usually play late at night, and thus the volume is usually very low so as not to wake my son and husband.  I have the subtitles on for conversations but they don't pop up for a few things, such as the comments when you switch to another character.  I'm home sick today and have the house to myself, so I can turn the volume up as high as I want.

I had heard Allistair's, "Yeeeeeeees?" and Zev's "I am yours." but I got a new one today while getting them positioned in the Orzammar throne room to trigger the dragon.  I switched to Zev and he said, "Si, mi amore?"  *SQUEE*

He's at +100, but, obviously, pre-Landsmeet.  I may just have to switch to him a lot more often.

I don't like blondes.  I don't have any particular accent fetish.  I rarely even go for men at all (my husband being an obvious exception).  I now have 7 full playthroughs and a herd of others at some point or another, and all but one has ended up with Zev.  It is officially an obsession!

I'll admit I love accents. British accents, Spanish accents... yeah, they get me. (As do sexy Latino men... I love the thought of Gael Garcia Bernal playing Zevran.[smilie]../../../images/forum/emoticons/love.png[/smilie] ) Actually I didn't really find Zevran's accent appealing at first, but it grew on me, and now I find it just plain sexy. It's good to know I've missed a bunch of his great lines, so there are still plenty of new things to discover!

By the way, CZ, I just wanted to tell you how much I love your Wynne and Zevran banners. Especially the expression Wynne has, it's just classic.

And I could see Zevran telling the Warden re the Morrigan ritual "You even have to think about what I would say?" Meaning of course he'd expect her to throw Alistair to the she-wolf to save her life (last playthrough my CE had Alisatir lose his virginity to Morrigan *mwahaha*)
I still giggle RL thinking about that....

EDIT: Too bad we can't tell our LI about the ritual....just to at least talk to them about it, but then, the Grey Warden secret would be out. Really, I cold see Zevran keeping his mouth shut about it, but Leliana? It two shakes of a mabari tail all of Ferelden would know that a GW has to die to defeat an Archdemon and there goes recruiting....

Alistair and his stupid voice. It always catches me off guard, and then my head gets all befuddled by squee, and I forget that I'm not supposed to want to romance him... *sigh*

You know, I'm not sure that I've ever heard his "Si, amora." Which is strange, since I had him at adore almost my entire first playthrough... I'm not sure if I either didn't have him high enough or if I just pause so darn much I didn't hear it when he'd say it. And, of course, I won't be getting it this playthrough... (Yay +40 warm! XD) Ah well, all the more reason to play through his romance again!

Edit: And I'll be throwing virgin Alistair on Morrigan, as well. Which is funny really, because my character doesn't hate him. She probably almost feels sorry for him... hehehe, almost... :innocent:

I find myself hitting L1-R1 over and over just to hear Si Amora and that wicked little chuckle. Of course, getting the occasional "I am Yours" is just as nice..

And that story is so cute.. I could totally imagine them doing that after the scene with Tamlen, just to cheer her up.

Hehe, Jaulen. That's why mine always romance Alistair first. They usually get his virginity when Zevran just puts in his first appearance. The romance is nice and short. I haven't allowed the ritual yet, but I might. Depends on the PC, so I rather he has his first time with my PC. What can I say, I'm nice that way. Plus, it gives my PCs something to do until Zevran shows up.

Alistair's voice is aural sex. My main complaint about the romance is once in love he STOPS TALKING.... damn... what's the point ? If he kept talking I don't know as I'd have the strength to dump him for Zevran. I like Zev's voice but I really like Alistair's too...

let's see. 30 more min of work (or less if I sneak out early) grocery shopping (ugh -- quick run through...) T = minus Ztime 75 minutes

oh there are lots of decisions I wish I could talk to my party about beforehand.  but I guess that has to be in my head.

Ah, thanks for clarifying. I was romancing Alistair at the same time, so I probably didn't get Zevran to 100 before breaking it off with him... And I only got him back in the relationship after Taliesan, so he went straight to love.

Agreed. His voice is so expressive. I love it low and deadly, of course, but also when he's being playful and when he's flirting and and and . . . Alistair, oh yes. "Maker's breath, but you're beautiful." It almost stops my heart. But Zevran's, "Maker's breath, it IS like my mother's," makes me want to hug him forever! And that one isn't even a romance line!

Actually, so much of Zev's romance specific lines are so heartbreaking. Just what he tells his lover, what he trusts the warden with. Whereas Alistair's romance specific lines are all just that. Courtship. I love all the flirts you can have in just the casual conversations with Zevran though. But I think most is how his greetings, the more he starts to care, the happier he sounds when he greets the warden. Alistair does sound more and more infatuated until he falls in love; then he sounds a lot more distant. But Zev just keeps getting happier.

And when he finally does fall in love, he seems so happy, but so confused. The greeting I have right now is, "You call?", but then, I'm just at Orzammar. Though his approval bar is maxed out...



And I wish I knew about his heartfelt appeal to save the Dalish before I got there... I would have loved to hear that...Oh well, that's what the next playthrough is for

Yep, that's exactly it! I always wondered if it was just me imagining it, but I swear Zevran's voice changes as the relationship progresses. He starts to do his low, sexy voice more often and he sounds sweeter and warmer. I think what convinced me it's true was watching that video of his Taliesan betrayal- he has none of the warmth in his voice that he does when friendly/in love. It sounded more forced and less natural, if that makes sense...

And Alistair definitely hits all the right notes up until the romance fades. I really wish it weren't such a sudden shift, but it makes sense why it is. At least it makes it easy to romance both in one playthrough without feeling guilty! XD

Since we're talking about favorite "Maker's breath" lines, I have to insert another favorite Alistair one, his response when you tell him "put on the damn crown already."  A very different intonation, but still adorable- one of my favorite moments of the game.  [/alisquee]

Very true.  Alistair doesn't start sounding truly happy again at all, even at post-coronation, though that may be because I always make him king and always harden him.  I forget what he's like unhardened with Anora sole ruler.  Even then, there is still the ritual which bothers him.  He'll be smiley at certain things, but there's a shadow over him.  I suppose you could say the threat of the Crows is still a shadow over Zevran, but he is able to joke about it.  I would add that Zevran gets happier even if he is staying with the Warden as friend, as evidenced by his "mock them while you bash their skulls" line.

Oh, no doubt that Alistair's love greeting is awful.  There have been many fangirl discussion trying to come up with an alternative to what it is saying . . . that he's trying to distance himself.  In fact, there are mods to address it as well, changing, "Anything you need, my dear?" to "My Love?"  I mean, as annoying as Leliana's is to me, "Aren't you sweet and attentive," even hers is FAR warmer and sweeter than Alistair's.  Not sure what Morrigan's is.

And I agree.  "I am yours," in that hot HOT voice . . . it can't be beat.
