I kinda avoided japanime
& jrpgs since breaking up with my ex who was something of an otaku.

Oh, gods, the whole sequence if you leave him breaks my heart - he looks so utterly bereft when he asks if you don't want him with you . .  . my throat tightens even now . . . his line about the Dark City - and then his very last comment after you tell him whatever happens you love him?  *sniffle*

Oh gods.  I LIKE pretty men sometimes, but the androginous Adonis types...a mix of strong masculine and soft feminine traits... not guys who look like young girls.  12 year olds are just not my thing, what can I say.

Yeh, that's the one difficulty.  No romancing Alistair at all.  He's fun to have as a friend, though.  And his reaction to the engagement is good too.  Actually, maybe nicer than when he's in love.

Yeah, and I actually feel really bad for him because of this. He really does want it to work, but for reasons outside his control he knows it probably won't. I feel especially bad because I know that making Anora queen and staying together to rebuild the Grey Wardens actually is a pretty happy ending, but it's not one that I ever want to pursue.

On the other hand, imagining Zevran with the Warden, remaining always together until that one day comes, just makes me downright happy somehow. After everything he's gone through, and everything it took to admit his feelings, it just feels like the love and joy that would be there would be unending. It's too sweet. It makes me want to do everything to make the relationship work, whereas with Alistair breaking it off really doesn't feel so bad.
