That might have been part of the reason for taking the cd... I practically live behind my pc. When she tells me to stop with my pc, I move myself to my laptop. She doesn't like that.

@Charsen, once your midterm week is over, you get the privilege to explain all that stuff about the mods to me. I want new hair/tattoos/faces and stuff, but no clue how to work it.

This is the Zevran thread... anyone something interesting to say about him? CZ, any nice pictures to share with us?

She wouldn't stop talking about what a terrible game this is and that she wishes I'd never bought it. Apparently I am too young to play this sort of games. I feel young enough as it is, I got a feeling I'm the youngest one around here.
She took my DA cd... Good thing I have the EA download manager installed, otherwise this could get really complicated.

lol Im 22 (going to be 23 this august) and I have to make sure im careful whenever my parents are about since if they catch my character snogging zevran on screen well that would be to embarassing >_>

I can see mom telling my (much MUCH) older sister about it and hearing my sister make fun of me over the bloody webcam (most my family lives in various different countries so we hav eto communicate either by phone or internet)

dirty ones? no but I do have tons of zevran pictures... maybe I should start posting picks of him with Baren (sadly the author of BSC wont do dwarves...god damnit that would have been hilarious...its also bad enough dwarves of both genders get screwed over nude mod wise)

That 'dirty ones? no' part of your post reminds me of the 'Can I respond in bad poetry? No? How sad.' from Zevran.

well I have posted plenty of pictures of Zevran killing stuff with Xander through out the thread but heres another one of him killing the sloth demon...god the fade effects give me a headache

I can help with the mod stuff, no problem. I could write a formal tutorial with screenshots, it would need to be tomorrow or saturday though. but if you have specific questions do let me know, i don't mind helping at all.

yeah, the fade effect and Wynne's earthquake effect were almost nauseating... but i'm a total wimp with motion. can't read while riding any vehicle at all. More than a sentence and i'll throw up every time.

another reason to hate the fade:



taking pictures during Zevs nightmare is AWFUL no really try get a good shot of your warden that looks likes hes trying to protect zevran without going nuts over the freaking camera

The fade doesn't bother me much, but the blur does. Unfortunately, the mod won't work, and I can't turn it off with options or anything like that. I'm getting a headache too, CZ. Thanks, I'll look into that one fer sure.

Charsen, I love you to death just for trying to look into a mod like this. The very best luck on the mid-terms. I know what a pain they are, I once had 3 of them in one day. Although they might be different in Germany.

Ramante, I feel for you. I'm on the far end of *mumble*, but my mother still treats me like I'm a little girl. However, she doesn't live with  me, and when she does come over and I play, well, she doesn't speak english, and I have the game installed in that language.

Thanks gals and guys for all the CE input. I was so outraged at the end of that origin, I really couldn't move on. The same goes for my dalish. I really have no clue how to move on. What is Tamlen to the FemDalish, or MaleDalish? A friend? More? Why was he brushed aside so easily? Bleh.

By the way, is it just me, or does Zevran look surprised and very pleasantly might I add, when he's called upon the public kiss? Like he is shocked to have his Warden show publicly that s/he loves him, but in a very good way? Btw, any negative answers will be blatantly discarded.

I'd love a tutorial. Im new to the whole mod thing, just installed my first one today and it actually worked.

@CZ, I know you posted more Zev action pics before, but I just love them. The Fade is really terrible isn't it? The blurred (is this even a word?) vision is terrible.

Really, that's just bad. I feel like I just tried on a pair of bi-focals or am looking through a fish-eye lense.

And I noticed last night I have the beads in my inventory to make an Alistair-style necklace. Yeah! New necklace for hubby.

And I would also love a tutorial of what you describe above for the mod pack. That seems more involved than I think I would have the patience for unless it was spelled out for me step by step.

Actually, he doesn't know this game yet--he's still away till spring break -- but when he's home I might show him a few saves. He'll just laugh at me till he gets ahold of his next ps3 game, at which point I'll laugh right back at him. GAH ! now you all know how old I am... Sigh....well, I'm young in game at least.

no, really, I'm deciding on my roleplay for the next char. I'm doing the dalish next time. She's going to really dislike humans alot. she's going to keep alistair at arm's length until about 1/3 the way through, when she'll warm up to him enough to get the rose, then turn him down but try to stay friends (which really, for her will be a huge thing). She'll fall for Zevran right away but be afraid to trust him until later on. (does he react differently to Dalish elves?)



So... can we talk a little about Oghren. I've never really had him in the game much cause I always do Orzammar last and I always want Alistair and Zev in my party. Since my char this time is a mage I could have taken him along but I wanted Sten with me this time. Does he ever get less obnoxious ? Or is he all stereotypic fart/drinking jokes all the time ? (Actually, wouldn't that mean that Alistair and he would get along well ?)

take him to see the Urn of Sacred ashes, also if you get his approval up high enough you can see his "outershell" start to crack and he is hurting more about branka than he lets on (you can even get him to admit why he thinks branka left him)

also if your in a relationship with Zevran he wishes you luck

My CEM playthrough, I did Orzamar early and got Oghren in the party early, he stays pretty sterotypical farting drinking all the way through, although he does lighten up abit, he's very obnoxious at the start.. The funniest part was him offering my CE some of his brew, and my CE taking a swig then passing out. That was funny....poor goody two shoes CE gets laid low by some Oghren swill....(maybe it was just that awful and not that strong?!? o.O)

Edit: And I totally forgot! He is the only one that approves of Zev and the Warden.

Double edit: Oh god, taht fade picture....scroll past it fast while looking straight at the screen  i need some ginger beer now.

I also hear Zevran being really happy that you want to kiss publically. of course, that may just be my wishful thinking.... Whereas Alistair sounds happy, but little boy happy (giggle giggle) and a bit embarrassed, Zevran sounds like he's sincerely touched you want everyone to know how you both feel.



Regarding the Dalish, I haven't finished the origin there yet, so I'm not sure how I'm going to feel about Tamlen, but I already know that I'm not going to be happy that Duncan makes me abandon him...(unlike my second City Elf, who was really pissy to Duncan until he took her away after Vaughn's death, when she was grateful). She won't ever really trust Duncan, which will hurt her early relationship with Alistair, but since he's human, she won't care that much

You mean with the mod?  Well I made a comment a while back and don't think anyone picked up on it, but it struck me what a revolutionary thing it would be for the Warden and Zevran to do something so simple as to hold hands in public.  He was forbidden to have love attachments, so the only time he could do that would be, I guess, when seducing a mark or something.  So yes, I imagine PDA is bit of a shock to him.

He definitely does look/sound surprised. XD  I'm not sure if I can say "very pleasantly", although he's certainly not unhappy, and I think he's perfectly content to flaunt the relationship in public. "I do love working in front of an audience", he says.

I could definitely see the reaction you're talking about being in character, though!  With Zevran being surprised that not only does the PC want to kiss him, but that they're perfectly willing to let the world know.

I can only wonder what all the soldiers/forces in Denerim at the endgame thought of the "Hero of Ferelden"'s desperate snogging of his lover before charging into Ft. Drakon.

Oghren and Zev have a total bromance going on by the end of their banters

also I love how if you have oghren in your party when you recruit zev he(zev) makes fun of the stereotypical elven/dwarf hate

Oghren and Zevran banter is great. There is one which starts great... *checks wiki*
