Haha, thanks I'm also playing english version of the game and I'm glad I do, I'd hate missing Zevran's amazing accent and Alistair's sexyness. Polish translation isn't very good as well, sadly.

I just got to the Fade with my lady Aeducan and Zevran's with me. I'll try to get some good screenshots this time. For some reason, 'my' Fade doesn't look so blurry at all. Maybe it's because I had to turn some options off in graffic, since my laptop couldn't handle them. Ironically, this made my game look better.

I also hear Zevran being really happy that you want to kiss publically. of course, that may just be my wishful thinking.... Whereas Alistair sounds happy, but little boy happy (giggle giggle) and a bit embarrassed, Zevran sounds like he's sincerely touched you want everyone to know how you both feel.

Regarding the Dalish, I haven't finished the origin there yet, so I'm not sure how I'm going to feel about Tamlen, but I already know that I'm not going to be happy that Duncan makes me abandon him...(unlike my second City Elf, who was really pissy to Duncan until he took her away after Vaughn's death, when she was grateful). She won't ever really trust Duncan, which will hurt her early relationship with Alistair, but since he's human, she won't care that much

Oh Raiyn - in both my Dalish elf playthroughs, I was devastated about leaving Tamlen...I tried every conversation I could with Duncan to go back...I did go back, but he never reappeared and my PC could not find him.  She really cared deeply for him both times.  I dunno why he is more appealing to me than Nelaros, who seems too squishy (even though he's a smithy he should be jacked, no? LOL) and that scene at camp is just horrid.  I still get mad at Bioware for not letting my PC TALK to one of my party members about what happened (keeping it vague in case you haven't played through all the way yet)  I even got mad at ZEVRAN LOL...because Alastair is the *only* one that says anything to you at all....boooo BW major faux pas on that one!

*as an additional aside* The whole way you leave camp as a DE could have been handled better too, I think - it was just so...abrupt.  Then, you say you want to attend the service for Tamlen, yet there isn't one, I dunno...left me wanting something deeper.  It didn't evoke the visceral responses I got as a CE and HN...then again, the visceral response comes later...*cue ominous music*

And yes, Charsen. Do take him to the fade. I'll never do the tower again without Zevran. Besides, Isolde has the right to atone for the horror, murder, and mayhem she incited.

I do understand her motives. I have two kids myself, and I would defend them to the death. But I do hope that if I saw one of them mass-murdering people under my care, I would take action to stop them. Any action, even the ultimate one. It would most likely kill me inside, but I could never allow such wholesale slaughter.

so Alexander finally has enough gold to go buy the ring of ages so on my way to buy it I get the ambush at camp encounter(which is I seem to only get 1/2 the time)

I highly recommend recruiting Oghren early at least once and then taking him to the Urn and Mage Tower. Make sure that he's with you when you talk to Gorim in Denerim and try to visit a brothel with him in your party. His speech at the gates while at 'friendly' is also one of the most touching. He was Nadia's (my favorite character and my avatar) best buddy, I'm glad he's returning in Awakening.

Awwww. XD  Funnily enough, I was just imagining (working on some more writing) the PC and Zevran walking side by side, close enough to brush against each other frequently, if not quite holding hands.  I may have to try to rig some shots.

I have a few staring shots too, and they make me wish you could zoom the camera in farther.

Rhinna, I'm doing a DE playthrough right now, and i thought there was a 'ceremony' for Tamlen....what's his name (I'm HORRIBLE with names) singing that "In Uerethra" song (I know that's not right, but that's what I see every time I see the name of the song, and now I can't see it any other way and I'm too lazy to go look it up atm)

I cried at the end of teh DE origin. She didn't want to go, went to look for Tamlen, Duncan saying he'd drag her kicking and screaming with him if he had to, the goodbyes, the song again, the last backwards look to the clan in the valley.....*ooohoo*

Edit: o.O why did I just notice my profile picture went to my CEM? Time to get my DE back.

wow I cant beleive I just found out about the Circles be gone mod... this will make taking screenshots so much better now without the bright red/yellow/blue circles under every one~

well in my case that happened...ok Ill just install his hair mod... and this body mod...oh look a mod that makes the game some thing other than ****** easy! *starts installing a crapton of mods*


the only required mods for me at the moment however are Combat tweaks, CT difficulty mod, Advanced tactics which fixes the god awful tactics system but adding options that should have been in the game as well as improving AI (rogues will actually get into position and backstab by them selves for example and mages/archers will try keep distance between the enemy and run away when they ge tto close)

there is also the incredibly awesome "extra dog slot" mod that turns the dog into a summon but the latest versionclashes with advanced tactics so no puppy for me

I absolutely love the 'extra dog slot'. It's my PC's dog, and she wants to take him with her. I don't think it unbalances the game too much. Do you, CZ?

I started this game on PC thinking "no mods no mods no mods." Then it was the Alisatir Dialogue mod since the buggy end convos and epi cards bugged me. Then it was the Dialogue tweaks mod, Ancient elven armour mod (what? you mean we were supposed to get a complete set??? Sweet!)

Now I'm trolling through the mods thinking hmmm.....

Maybe Improved Atmosphere.....

it doesnt unbalence the game in my experiance with my mods however the latest version screws up the advanced tactics mod which to me is far more important

the dog banters, can be talked to, have his equpment changed and can level him up like he was a normal party member but he uses up the PCs summon slot (so if you want to summon a ranger pet do it before you summon the dog)

sick of seeing those ugly mage hats but have a helmet on your warrior you really like no problem you can turn the hemet graphics off for each person seperatly!

I wish I could post the pic of my CE and Zevran at the Coronation "holding hands," but unfortunately I don't have them it me right now. So basically, no, you're not the only one. XD And yes, it makes me giggle like a little girl.

Uggg, same for me. I made the stupid mistake of going through the top-rated dragonagenexus mods, and I ended up with like 30. No joke. I have so many that I don't even know which ones cause the bugs I have, and I pretty much can't change anything without making a new game... *sigh* I'm just addicted to mods (I was like this with WoW too).

And <3 Circles Be Gone and Improved Combat Tactics.

I seriously want some of those tattoo mods, but they require the toolset, which doesn't want to work for me. Do the Chargen Package or Bidelle's have tattoos?
Oh! And to anyone with the elven ears mod, how does it work? If I imported a character from the original CC, would the ears not show up? And are they editable? I get a little worried to try it...


@Ramante- I'm 21, but I still feel like I'm 19 (I almost accidentally say I'm 19 sometimes, it's weird... I'm not sure where the last two years of my life went)... So no, you're not alone. Thank god I don't live at home anymore, because my parents used to get very upset at me for spending so much time on the computer. I don't even want to think what my mom would have to say about this game. XD

This is a great mod, but BE CAREFUL. It changes sooooo much stuff, there's bound to be things you don't like. And although it's very configurable, it's a huge pain to go through everything. I was lazy so I just left it as-is, and I'm realizing now that I would have changed several things if I'd known. So don't be lazy like me, make sure you take the time to go through it all!

But otherwise, it's a great mod. (And for those of you who don't like Zevran's placement in the party camp, it changes him to a better place so you don't have ugly fire face.)

Yes, you can level dog up, although it took me a bit to figure out how. Click on his icon, and then open the Character sheet. Then click on "level up" and there you go.

Ramante, if you have any questions about mods, don't hesitate to ask. I'll gladly help, and so will everyone else. Being hesitant about mods is actually a good thing. Some are dirty and mess up your game, but a lot of them are not.

I've been pretty frugal with mods, because this is my first game to use them (well, other than User Interface mods). so far I just have Dialog Tweaks, Alistair ending fix, and the elf ears, but I'm going to do no circles and no helmet next. I might do the dog one because poor dog gets neglected often.



and I wouldn't mind a "romance Teagan, romance Duncan, romance Ser Perth" mod . . .
