Only able to speak from this side of the fence, but I think the majority would encourage you to play female, because there seems to be the added attraction of the implication that Zevran is interested in fathering a child with the female Warden. But the male romance is in my (biased) opinion, better, although dialogue wise, there doesn't appear to be much difference, going just by what's been posted.

that I'm so sad Zevran is not going to be in Awakenings.  He had better show up in future expansions or games!  Grr!

As Awakenings draws closer, I find myself sufferring from pre-lack of Zevran angst. I'm sure I'll like the expansion but I think my fear of the unknown in regards to what the developers have in store for the relationship is what's worrying me. It would be FAR too easy for them to simply kill him off. I don't think they would, but the possibility is there and it's almost frightening.

Man... that comic really throws Morrigan into another light... Though I think I can understand what it's trying to show. I did get Morrigan to be practically best friends with Selene this playthrough, and got out of her that the whole ritual was taught to her by Flemeth, and that doing that ritual was the whole reason Flemeth saved the Warden and Alistair and sent Morrigan with them. I think that while Morrigan understands the reasoning for it, it's blackmail and that is something she finds hard to do to someone she now calls "friend" or "sister".

I was a little....weirded out by that comic since the whole Morrigan crying (I've gotten her to friendly, but she's never been BFF) thing at the end just didn't sit well with me and what you know of her character. Maybe if she had seemed a little *down* but not actual tears.

And I can see why that scene was cut. It would unduly influence the PC regarding the ritual (the ritual option works so much better as a plot device, especially the first time you play the game, if it's a kick-in-the-stomach, make a decision NOW with limited information) and it really doesn't add anything to the plot/story/quest.

But that's just my two beans worth of thoughts.

when you kill that werewolf who wanted you to give a scarf of hers to her husband, zevran gets this distressed look on his face and turns away as you murder knife her

Mm, hopefully tonight I can finish Selene's run to the archdemon, already made Alistair father the demon-baby, and he's marrying the royal witch, hardened of course, with Selene happily engaged to Zevran.

Then I will make a HNF, make sure to only be friendly and NOT romance Alistair, fall head-over-heels for Zevran, then convince the Landsmeet to make Al king with her queen, and Zevy as her consort. And since I adore DW cunning-based rogues, she will be such. Haven't thought of a name yet though.

Edit: re:Danyla- I noticed that too this playthrough. Zevran does not look happy that you killed her, but since there seems to be no approval loss, he must  know that it was a pure mercy-killing and doesn't disapprove.

Hands down, two hottest kisses in the game are Zevran/Dwarf female.  Pictures cannot capture it.  Though one of them is both male and female.  However, default dwarven female kiss (if you use DT) if fabulous, where default dwarven male kiss, according to CZ, says it's like two action figures rubbing faces (I bet that's why Alistair watches.

But the kiss that both dwarves share, Zevran kneels down, and it is just sexy.



Any excuse, I tell you . . .

Now, to be fair, we do have more than our share of trolls here.  That should account for about 30 pages at least.  And then, of course, the screen shots, and ummmm, the screen shots that can't be posted here so just linked.

Really, though, the romance is just fun to talk about.  And the subject drifts at times.

also i never caught alistair staring at my dwarves making out with Zev he only seems to stare at us making out if im human

Ah, unfortunetly my Brosca has been spoken for already by Alistair. I hadn't even considered romancing Zevran when I made her. I find Alistair and dwarves adorable, so there you go.

However, I may make another dwarf (Aeducan maybe?) to romance him with. I kind of want to see a big, burly male dwarf share a passionate kiss with Zevran. That, I think, would be hilarious. Maybe a Oghren clone? I think he would have a heart-attack though, seeing his clone go at it with Zevran

Actually, I don't think the whole thing is Zevran specific.  It's party member placement.  Second and third party member turns away and the forth stares in fascination.

I about choked, though, when I had Zevran tell a Blackstone Irregular widow that her husband had died.  I was expecting something really mean.  Instead he said, quite kindly, "I'm sorry, but your beloved husband has died."  now, his other line is pretty mean, but that one shocked me.

It's only a one time deal if you don't save and reload a lot, which I suppose you would NEVER do!

It's only a one time deal if you don't save and reload a lot, which I suppose you would NEVER do!

Me too.  I love it when he smiles!  I know, for instance, after the Taliesen encounter, you can get very moved when asking him if he wants to stay or go (it is sweet when he asks to stay), but his face when you tell him, "I'd be sorely put out if you left,"  is just beyond happy.  

*sigh* debating on my next play through (AD just died, Ali and Anora are married, Kallian is Teyrna of Gwaren, and she and Zevran are rebuilding the GW together).

Hmmmm, city elf question.  Aside from the obvious thing that happens there, I noticed a few things this time.  Shianni and my CE were talking about her "rabbit" stew, and how it was really made with rats.  Ugh.  Also, how do you think the CE introduces her companions to her father?  All this stuff left out (for understandable reasons I suppose).
