Hah, yeah, I think he said that to my mage, who thought it was amusing but not kill-worthy.
You know, I am constantly surprised at how many people say they kill Zev upon meeting him. i guess i didn't interpret it as obnoxious (see also: previous oblivious post)

Oh, I'm convinced a lot of people kill him because he's an openly bisexual male.  And an elf?  And I'm waiting for the posts in response to this, "No, I killed him because he tried to kill ME."  Of course, that's valid, I suppose. But usually people who come on here saying that go on about how sleazy he is and how fun it was so whatever.

Edit: I can't be the only woman who found his bisexuality incredibly appealing, I hope.  It's one of the sexiest things about him, I think.

from the amount of times my zevran approvals banner ha sbeen added to peoples favorites on my deviant art account you really arnt the only one who finds it hawt

Well, I know, and it does make sense, but... he sort of pleads for his life when you encounter him, though. Why wouldn't he just say something right away that would get him killed?

I think that right away he discovers he is not dead he changes his mind, such situation can really shake one's decisions. One might even think that beautiful eyes of your Warden inspired the idea that life might yet have something interesting to offer :) Me thinks that running away from crows was just that tempting.
If the Warden turns out to be no option he betrays them but I think (as others do) it's just another suicide attempt, and in this case successful.
Note that if he stays and warden dies (sacrifice) he again goes back to crows... sort of. Maybe getting rid of crow masters was just another suicide attempt, but it turned out differently and here you go, one just finds himself on the throne *head desk*. (Amusing, but pure speculation, no evidence.)

No, I agree with you completely on this point.  I think there are three times you hear about (if you do the US with him at high approval) him being willing actively try to die, and they're all glorious.  Against the grey warden (final mission dialog), against the arch demon in the Warden's place (freeing him from the crows dialog) and throwing himself at the crows (US epilogue card).

Edit: Zevran really does everything with style for sure.

"I want your studded leather kiss in the scene"

Kiss in the sand, actually.

Some of the lyrics on the web are horribly wrong.  Part in the middle that's often quoted wrong:

"I want your psycho, your vertigo stick.
Want you in my rear window, oh baby it's sick."

Which are odd references to Alfred hitchcock movies.

Ahh, the internets and lyrics.  (I laugh, because I know at least one of the C&C videos I linked also has incorrect lyrics! *facepalm*)  Thanks ;D
...although the studded leather was definitely the important bit.  That actually did catch my ear when I was listening to it, hah.

re: the hitchcock references,  Innnnteresting...

Obviously I have poor judgment in grabbing lyrics!
Hmm.. yes, that's an odd one, since you don't usually stud things WITH leather... I suppose I'll just take it figuratively ;D  Still works...  I think. XD

jenovan wrote...Don't forget the"I want your studded leather kiss in the scene" ...wow this whole post is about music. XD  Have some more Coheed and Cambria.  This is TOTALLY US-ish. I'll be honest -- I was thinking about it in terms of Zevran and the Warden once for a fic prompt and I almost kinda cried. Wake Up(man, finding vids with lyrics on-screen and in the info is hard. XD)

oh yeah! the studded leather kiss in the sand... love it. Fits beautifullyYeah - the C&C stuff is good, though I have to say I start with a bias against them because they kill me in rock band.

well he is the gay "evil" elf with no moralsthe gay part alone tends to be enough justification for many people sadly to just off him (not saying this is always to case but maybe its because my view is pickled by the amount of homophobia in my area)

Yeah maybe it is as simple as that - a bisexual, sassy elf. On a side note, that is the one thing i dislike about DA. Both of the bisexual characters are the ones with the murderous and morally questionable past. the straight ones have ostensibly clean morals and pasts. <_<

Zev is taking a rather laid-back approach to the news that his precious Warden has been captured and sent to Fort Drakon...

One could argue that their 'victimhood' created the 'perversity' of their bi-nature. *shrug* Note, I am NOT saying I consider it so, merely that some might view it as such. Me? I just think peeps are peeps. Except when they're zombies. Or nose eating Dwarves

Heh, nose eating dwarves -- he even likes them!  I suppose what I meant, though, was his utter openness and lack of inhibition about sex. I don't know, it's hard to word things like this (articulation about anything seems to be a problem of mine, however).  But yeh, of course his upbringing has everything to do with his views on sex, but his attraction to both is not so much upbringing or anything I wouldn't think.

*sigh* I'm going to dig myself into a hole if I say anything more about it.  DUCT TAPE PLEASE!  *gah*

Edit: I did, and i know this will be yet another post I end up smacking myself for :innocent:

Oh don't worry ejoslin, I find it very appealing for some reason. I like people who are open with sexuality- er, not being ****ty or whatever, but just having open minds and curiosity. I actually get really pissed at anyone who feels a need to justify stuff like "oh I only kissed another guy cause I was drunk, but I'm totally straight." BS. Being comfortable with yourself is infinitely more attractive than clinging to "I'm totally not gay like that ****got!"

(LOL.  Been listening to C&C since their first album, I exploded with squee when I found out "Welcome Home" would be in Rock Band...let alone the DLC. I can kill the vocals, but guitar.. not so much...)

Heh, I had a similar reaction when I found out about Zevran and Leliana... I think my exact quote was, "What are they trying to say about rogues?"  <_< I dunno if I'd call Morrigan's morals OR past clean, though. ;D  (Actually, I could imagine her being bi, too, except that doesn't fit with her plan in the game...)

I actually quite like this point -- I don't know if he says the same in the femPC conversation about his sexuality, but in the malePC version, he says something like, "I know what I am, and I won't discount anyone just because of what others think is right or wrong."  The way he phrases that makes me think he's definitely talking about emotions, not just sex, meaning (maybe?) that that part of him wasn't necessarily determined by the way he was treated.  It may have influenced him, kept his mind open to the idea moreso than someone in more normal circumstances, though.

Hmm, I hope that made sense. :?

Well, Morrigan's profession didn't rely on murdering people. Both Leliana and Zevran were assassins, really... Morrigan is just a witch. I guess it's a small point, but yeah, like i said i love the game and am infinitely grateful for the m/m romance at all. Otherwise I would have probably died in the Alistair virgin club. =/

No, the FemWarden doesn't get a line like that, but while he does say he thinks he prefers women, he does not say it definitively.  And he's very clear that if the warden can't accept his past, if she wants to change that part about him, they may as well call it quits.

He makes no apology for what he is or who he is attracted to.

I do find his sexuality very appealing.  *sigh*  I'll stop talking about it now.

Edit: Thanks Nonvita.  Gah, sometimes I wish I thought a whole lot more before posting!

You think a lot more than me when I post. Especially right now, as I'm exhausted, hungover, and have a headache. If I sound like I'm in a bad mood, it's just because of these three things (and the Oscars). Not that I'll have anything useful to contribute right now anyway.

And definitely agreed that he makes it very clear. Although I've never tried any of the options that act offended at it. What does he say if you don't like it?
