Squee, you picked all of my favorite dialog choices.    except maybe the very last one, I forget what the other options are. XD  Confused!Zevran is the most adorable thing ever.

Aww, hang in there   I didn't get to play yesterday and might not today either... ugh...  Not to mention I'm still in Orzammar cleaning stuff up.  Talk about lack of motivation.

But yeah, Taliesen is pretty hot.  I don't even mind his voice, really.  But I keep having the urge to pincushion him (CEM's an archer), even if Zevran might not like that too much.   It makes it easier when the bastard decides the PC is his number one target.  Self-defense!

Orzammar is definitely a motivation killer! I can't believe they have a mod to skip the Fade but nothing to skip the Deep Roads. Teleport me to the Broodmother and I'll take it from there! Or at least something to give you Topsider's Honor and all the demon parts straight to your inventory so you don't have to backtrack 10 times like I always do... <_<

I hate Taliesan's voice. He sounds like he has a cold. "Bell if it isn'd the gread Zevrannnnn..." And *why* doesn't he sound Antivan? Someone explain this to me now or my head may explode! I don't feel sorry at all for killing him. Sorry Zevran, but your taste in lovers used to be terrible. Good thing you have me now instead of those idiots.

eh for the very final picture the other 2 dialogue choices kind of lead to him leaving my party or him never offering the earring >_>

also this screen here if I moved the camera into the right position looked like the guard was giving Alistair a ****** but dew to how wonky the camera is in this game

Agreed!  Just seeing that screenshot I was thinking how much I'd like to kick Taliesin's teeth in.  I guess chopping him to little bits (or making his blood boil and injecting him with virulent substances, in the case of my mage) is an acceptable substitute.

I don't know if others are as weird and particular as I am about such things, but if Zevran fights with me I always direct him to attack others and take care of Taliesin myself.  Same with Oghren and Branka.

I agree that confused Zevran is adorable, though I can't put him through that generally and just tell him I want him to stay.

Awww that's a cute way of doing it. Unfortunately I'm not so good at thinking about RP stuff during combat, so I've never done that before. But it gives me something new to think about next playthrough!

Edit: Geez, CZ, your screenshots always make me realize how sparkly this game is at higher settings...

I don't think in-game he's terribly hate-worthy, except for being indifferent to killing Rinna and satisfied to kill Zevran after getting publicly dumped.  But in my prequel fic (which will never see the light of day, and probably never be finished) I kick him right through a moral event horizon.

I usually make Zevran kill him because it seems most in character.

Heh, whoever kills Taliesen kills Taliesen. It's usually Zevran, because, well, Zevran usually gets the kills in on all the bosses.



And CZ, agreed. The Codex being completed with that quote just makes that entire squee even moreso!

Gah, sad that I know all that. And maybe sadder how many HNF playthroughs I did to figure out what caused the different dialog.

Yeah, the Antivan accent baffles me.  Does anyone else besides Zevran and Ignacio have one?   I mean, the game is pretty good about the Orlesians... But what other Antivans are missing accents -- Taliesen, the Crows in the Fade, umm Fergus's wife?...
(Then again, Taliesen's name being what it is always weirded me out too...  )

I think whenever I do that battle, Taliesen goes after Zevran initially, but always ends up going after the PC.  Sometimes Zevran will come to his aid, sometimes he gets held up elsewhere.  I'll have to ponder how to handle that story-wise, hmmm...   While Zevran may not want to fight Taliesen, he will NOT let Taliesen go after the PC if he can help it, I think.

You have to convince me it's a must write first.    If so, I'll have to alternate between that and a My Little Pony fanfic.

What do you consider Zevran's relationship milestones, the actual dialogue in the game nonwithstanding (so it can even be the stuff that you sort of fill in, in your head, as you go along).

That's a great list.  I'm only up to the Landsmeet on my Zev romance playthrough so I wouldn't know about the rest, but I agree with all points up to there.


I would also add the talk about his parents and his childhood.  After his failed assassination attempt, I was always wondering if his story about his sad childhood was just a ruse to get close to me so he could have another chance to kill me.  His talk about his parents is what really changed my mind and showed me that he truly did want to escape the Crows, and convinced me that letting him have his free will was the best thing I could do for him.


Haven't had the chance to see Zevran's nightmade in the Fade yet, as the mage tower is usually my first stop.  Next time I may be able to have him there with the ZevranASAP mod.  Thanks for the nice work on that, Charsen. :happy:


Also nice screens, Cuddlezarro.  From that angle Taliesin bears a resemblance to Alistair.  And I like how Zev seems to be guarding the PC in some of them.

Hmmmm, I'm tempted to do a HNM just to spare Loghain, get engaged to Anora, then spend lots of time making out with Zev and lots of tent time in front of Loghain.  I'm strange that way.  Aedan may come back to life yet!

Are you sure Zevran is mocking there? He does say at at least one time that he's very devout.

Edit: I suppose it's possible he was mocking Alistair when he said that, though.  Gah, SO many different ways to view him!
