Holy cow, are Zevran fans an elite group?

Welcome WingsandRings. Good luck on the thesis. I am SO glad my student days are behind me. I do not miss them at all.

And Creature 1, this has become an elite group? Or did I just walk into the wrong room (it happens).

Heh, my mage has left the decision to Morrigan many, many times, and she refuses every single time.  Does she ever say "yes" after consulting her capricious nature?  (Suffice it to say, though, her attitude is only driving Amell to Zevran faster... :innocent: )

Yep, I was putting it down as 50-50, but of course my character has totally stalled so I haven't consulted it lately.  :)  I simply can't play S&S.  I don't think I can play anything but rogue for a melee character... grr.  I need to look up how to build a strength-based rogue so that I can get the pretty warrior armor but not feel as useless.

Anyone else thinks that this point desperately needs a cutscene? Maybe I could request it from the DT modder...

What is what? You mean his mage? Yes, bears a remarkable resemblance to our favorite assassin...

If you mean the scene, it's in the Proving.

My take is that it requires a bit of depth to appreciate Zev properly.  :P

Heh. Depth can be taken many ways. I've only a high school diploma, but I totally appreciate Zev.

Intelligence and multiple degrees do not always correlate.  Masochism and multiple degrees almost always correlate.  Perhaps those of us with extra letters can just relate better to Zev's appreciation of ropes and chains. ^_^

You're elite, that's not in question!  :D

Ah ok, I didn't recognize the scene.

*snicker* Mayhaps you are right, sami :)

Yeah, if you don't usually do anything in the Proving, it's easy to not recognize it. I only do because I was there a few nights ago with Selene.

I did a bachelor's thesis for an honors degree, but quit while I was ahead and did not do any postgrad. :)

To quote, um, someone -- Slander and lies, Creature 1!  *grin*

Zevran, however, is just made to be appreciated.  It wouldn't surprise me if most of the women who like him so much are either older, or younger but non-conformist.  Alistair is a beautiful romance, but has very much a first-love feel, whereas Zevran's is gritty, but much deeper.  If you're not looking for the hearts and flowers, but are instead looking for a partner, what's not to appreciate about Zev?

I blame grad school for my gaming obsession. My husband declared that it was safer for me to take out my frustrations with my dissertation on pixels than on him and our son. After particularly frustrating days he would hug me, hand me a sandwich, a cup of tea, and my controller and send me off to the spare bedroom for a few hours before allowing me to interact with the rest of humanity.

I, however, am so non-conformist that I do the Sten and nug romance. Schmooples has really soulful eyes, and a sexually frustrated giant is a challenge. There is no need to get physical, we transcend that.

Yeah, I've got nothing to add in this presence of the elites.

Very smart husband, sami.

Well, I'm unsure which category I fall into, ejoslin. I just turned 27, but am one of those with no real social skills thanks to my peers in middle and high school for deciding that, since I was -fat-, I was the perfect target. I have few friends, but no real relationship experience.

Ugh, I knew I would never ever finish grad school. I barely finished my degree. I could use the excuse that I married young and one of us had to work, and in fact, I DID (use that excuse, that is), but truth is, I was just done with school.

Well said!  There are many things I love about Zev's character, as a friend or a romance; and the fact that it is a much more "adult" relationship is a big part of it.

Gah, flop down on the couch and join us.  Anyone who romances Schmooples is ok with me.

I never ran across this schmooples thing, but if I did, I would have sent it into the inferno. I like roast nugs and I cannot lie..

Whee! I knew I liked this fandom (DAO in general, but of course, our thread here in particular ;D) for a reason

I'm still telling myself to go get my masters... just can't decide in what, exactly. [smilie]../../../images/forum/emoticons/pouty.png[/smilie]  I do have two undergrad degrees, though? :wizard:

I picked up schmooples once. Never again. That bloody nug is the owner of the worst sound effect in history.
