Grease+Fireball=Flame Field. It's a similar trick to what it done to you in Ishal by the Genlock Emissary on the first floor. In order to put said field out, cast Blizzard.

Grease fire is a normal spell combo in the vanilla game as is Force field+Crushing prison

dont see how Force field and taunt would work as a spell combo because taunt isnt a spell and its warriors only...


wonder if combat tweaks added a Fire version of Storm of the century I doubt it though since storm fo the century pretty much destroys the games difficulty

A new ZevranASAP mod? GAH! My computer ate my save with the mage I used for beta testing the other one. With that I mean the save at Flemeth's hut is corrupted, so I will have to start again. Anything for Zevran though, right?

ok Charsen question about your oh so wonderful Zevran ASAP mod

wasnt Version 2.0 supposed to move the Loghain hires Zevran cutscene to right after TEEAAAAGGGAAAAANNN tells him off while your on your way to lothering? because I didnt get that cutscene it cut straight to the dog joins you encounter

and when I left Lothering it just went straight to the ambush encounter

heres a list of the new spell combos added to combat tweaks


Heal+regeneration=full heal
Walking bomb+virulant walking bomb=instaboom
curse of Mortality+Vulvernability hex=makes the hex last a really long time
Chain Lightning+Shock=no idea suppossed to be really good and considering how downright scary chain lightning is with combat tweaks I have no doubt the really good part is true

theres one more but nobody seems to have found them other than the fact they are suppossed to be 2 crappy spells that suddenly become really useful with the combo

thanks Sabriana =) Yep, this one so far hasn't had as many problems but i've only had 22 testers so far. I haven't been to paris, and only been to DC central a few times - my folks live nearby, and I'm trying to get a job with... well, a video game company there... *says nothing more* 


yep, it should - if you esc-skip the teagan cutscene it might also skip the loghain one too though. When you see the teeeeaaaaagan scene and he gets sassy and waddles off, it fades away and fades back in to Denerim with Loghain & Howe & Zev, then it fades out and back and you're approaching the dog encounter. This is between Flemeth & Dog, pre-Lothering

I'm in Germany, by the way. Which works out great for me, seeing that I am German. I was married to an English-man, and just kept the name, mostly because I didn't want to have a different last name then my kids. It was great fun listening to my compatriots pronouncing my last name. Until the advent of the fast food chain. Now everyone knows how to say it. *pouts*

A video game company in the DC area? There is an interesting little city right outside DC. With an interesting name, even.

The usual tactic is to make the warrior Taunt, then have a mage cast Forcefield on him/her.  That way all the enemies will waste their time trying to kill the forcefield'ed warrior.

I too just saw that scene for the first time earlier today.  Touching to see how much Zev cares about them.

My amazon just got done in the Anvil of the Void. Seriously, that is one looong quest. She is done with all of them, so they'll now go cure the Arl and then off to Denerim.

All kinds of Zevran goodies coming up for her *squee* I installed DT (newest version) and I'll check and see if the kiss will prevent Zevran from falling in love *oils her F5/F9 finger*

I must say, I do like what Zevran has to say in the "Ruck" encounter, I did it without Oghren for the first time, and he certainly does have more to say when Oghren isn't there overriding some of his lines.

I really hate that stupid overriding thing. I want Zevran to override everyone, I want to listen to him, not the other NPCs. *shakes fist at overriding NPCs*

It's the default kiss on the pc -- the one you get whenever with DT installed.  It is a nice kiss

Actually, if you add him to your party when you first get him and run through several conversations with him iwith a fair amount of flirting before you leave that initial area, you can kiss him there.  I did it my first playthrough.  That DE was kind of an elf-gone-wild.  He had already bedded and gotten a ring from Morrigan and was well on his way to bedding Lel by the time he was kissing Zev...with both ladies present.     I think the option stayed there until the first time I hauled him to the tent.  I have tried to take things a bit slower the last couple of times, but I think my next MCE is going to pounce on him immediately.

Edit: It's 4:30 in the morning and I spent the whole night in squee-land with Zev.  My letures should be interesting today...

Wait. SJ, you're saying in the vanilla game there's a kiss him option in the initial area?  I have to check that out.  RIGHT NOW!  See, I have many important things to say.  Three posts in a row!  *sigh* 

Edit: I tried this, no option for a kiss, and I was able to get him up to 92 (Adore) in just that area through conversation and his boots.  *grin*  It was kind of funny getting his affection up that high.

Alright. Got off early today (will wonders never cease?), got a nice bottle of wine from my favorite vintner, and I'm getting ready to settle on my couch. My warrior needs to get to Redcliffe and then to Denerim for some serious Zevran squee, she's earned it. Darn Deep Roads. I don't really mind them except this quest is so long.

I also downloaded the newest ZevranASAP mod, and as soon as my warrior gets her proposal, I'll build a new PC, because the "Hut" save is definitely corrupted.

*gets wine and antipasta tray, settles on the couch, and is ready to go to Zevran-land*

/wave Sabriana! Enjoy Zevran-land! I'm waiting for my kids to go to school so I can go there myself. I loaded in a save earlier to check something, and got a stern lecture from my older daughter when she came downstairs and caught me. She's definitely the grownup between the two of us!



My husband actually put a deposit down on a copy of FF13 for me -- I didn't ask him to. If he picks it up for me, I'll probably play it a bit as well, but otherwise, I'll stick with the elf! I love the FF games, I've been playing since the first one. Actually, FF7 was the best of them; first time I played a game where I was having serious WTF moments. I couldn't believe there was a hero that was absolutely, completely apesh*t nuts.
