You just have to be 70 or lower and he needs to be romanced.  If you avoid giving him his plot gifts, you should be able to do that fairly easily.

Thanks! You're priceless, as usual! :D

Oh, you're so welcome.  Good luck with it!  The playthrough I did that was so lonely, but absolutely worth it.  It cleared up, for me at least, any questions I had about that whole thing.

The armor you can buy in Orzammar for about 20 gold is quite nice!

Edit: Gah, Jenovan already mentioned it!  It is very sexy.

I still think Dalish armor looks hotter on zev (and just about any guy actually)

Thank you, Jenovan and Ejoslin. I'll go to Orzammar first thing and buy that armour.

It was frustrating that my female rogue could wear something that was practically a tiny miniskirt and bra, but there was nothing so revealing for Zevron.

My male mage is having a similar problem.  All the mage robes seem to cover him up.   I bought him a new robe just now, but it's one of the standard style ones which looks awful on him, instead of one of the ones with the featherboa shoulders and the gold armbands.    Meanwhile, there's a blight invasion and I'm supposed to be on my way to Redcliffe, but the clothes shopping must come first!.   I knew I shouldn't have spent so long talking to Leliana about shoes.

I like the skirt of the Dalish armor, but not the chest piece... I think it just looks too linear for me, and was rather unexpected when thinking of typical elven aesthetics -- I was hoping for curving lines  or something more organic-looking.  I was disappointed when I first got a set of Dalish to go with Zevran's boots.  Image IPB  Buuut it all comes down to personal tastes, of course. XD

(I'm not crazy about the top of the leather armor either, for the record, but I do like it that much better than the Dalish. XD; )

I think I can't put that on him because it's what my female PC rogues end up wearing, so it seems too pretty.

Gah, how to clothe Zevran and really any rogue is a perennial problem.  I do hope Awakenings offers more choices.  I would like something like the Chinese Stealth Suit in FO3 or the Dark Brotherhood armor in Oblivion- form fitting but not quite so "Spartacus."

lol! XD  I agree, the mages in general get kinda shafted on robes... there's the Circle robes, the basic Tevinter-style, and the advanced Tevinter-style.  And..  yeah, that's it, as far as I know. :/  Booooooo.  I'm so slapping my AW mage in the Ancient Elven Armor as soon as I get it all. And wow, the wiki has very few pictures of armor. What's with that??  That was a huge part of the Guild Wars wiki... maybe because the armor was customizable, I guess.

Dalish armor on lady dwarves is "...damn." But my actual favourite is the duster leathers dwarven commoners start with, for some reason. It's unique looking to the race and not used again in the game.

I like zev in his starter leathers the best :)

we don't have the good choices for armor, except for plate, really. and the best looking plate armor is expansion armor anyway (warden set, which I love on either women or men; and Cailan's).I think we have some great looking swords but I'm not that fond of the daggers---why the heck are they RED? looks like plastic or rusted iron.

Maybe I just need to do a wholly naked playthrough. Just weapons and no armor at all :)

ok another quick question.

I'm intentionally not reading too much about Awakenings. I mean, I know the new chars a bit and no romance, but I'm trying to keep it fresh for the playthrough. I just wanted a sense of how the rest are you are -- trying to find out absolutely everything ? trying not to read anything at all ? I'll probably try a nonspoiler playthrough first just to be surprised and then start reading things later (which is pretty much what I did on Origins. didn't use mods till 3rd runthrough for example).
It's complicated by the fact that I've got my characters all set . Maybe my first play ought to be a new Orlesian just so I don't ruin any RP options...

<edit>  Lol at kneepads :)

I'm not reading a thing.  Learning about no new romances and no old romances crushed me.  I want to be pleasantly surprised.

@Raiynsong, I'm not really reading anything either... though I do pop over every so often to see a new character's been announced.  I want to enjoy the surprise a bit, although at the (slow) rate I play, I'm sure I'll be spoiled in some way, shape or form before I'm done.
(Fortunately I don't mind spoilers so much -- getting there is the interesting part!)

*potential spoilers*
I've been keeping updated at least with the new characters and the villians. I 'm thinking Duncan may come back as a darkspawn! No body = not dead IMHO Didn't watch the playthrough video.

I am sad at the no romances, but it's understandable, at least from a game POV, potentially even a RPG POV depending on where you're going and WHY. If it's supposed to be a quick, 'Hey, they need you here to go do something, should take a week or two, come right back' but it turns into battle royal, I could see the reasoning. But if it is a 'Here's battle royal that you're needed in, and we'll see you when it's all over, give or take 6 months of longer.....' why wouldn't your companions that stayed with you be going with you? Unless it's some top secret GW bid'ness.

What I was ticked off/depressed about, was that you can't start the game as the Orlesian Warden and import your savefiles from the Ultimate Sacrifice ending. My MDE (profile pic I can't seem to get rid of), did the US, and it was a great ending and I was really hoping to play in the Ferelden/Thedas shaped by the choices he made. I thought it was very stupid that you can do some sort of armwave and *lo and behold!* your dead warden ain't really dead! *sigh*

I'm just so afeared that through expansions that they are going to stick us with some sort of cannon ending from DA:O, and that choices we've made really WON'T figure into future games.

I glance through that board every once in a while, but since a lot of it is just speculation it seems like a waste of time.  I do find my Origins gameplay affected by having the expansion in mind.  I was sort of wishing my last couple characters didn't wrap up as soon as they did, so that I could go fresh with them into Awakenings.

I'm looking forward to importing, though.  I want to see how my character's story continues.  I'll be disappointed if it's an RtO style cheapening, though, where your game choices didn't seem to matter and the NPCs weren't reacting appropriately.

I'm not reading much about it either, the more I hear the more I wish I didn't

But as one of the devs said, the team is just a bunch of friends we just haven't met yet. I hope that's true, friends are always nice... But no Zev? The end slide said he... ..
:crying:

Though really, I am very impressed that Bioware not only gave us RtO, Soldier's Peak and Shale as DLCs, plus the toolset(!!!) since release only 4 months ago.. but now it's already on expansion 1? And here I thought I destroyed the Anvil of the Void.

ok today I have planned on finally getting the royal scandal dialogue for the MHN, murder Arl Howe hopefully in a rather amusing manner, and possibly more naughty pics atleast before I recruit Loghain because I doubt any of the women in this topic would want to see him nude :3

lol, found this while looking through Landsmeet pics... The ultimate fashion faux pas -- wearing the same armor as someone else to a party!

Image IPB

Now someone has to go home and change. :(

Also something I spied at Landsmeet, or actually, right after -- there's that scene where most of the companions are sitting in that room waiting (either for Alistair, or for Anora to talk about Loghain)...  There's a chair in the room. In my couple of playthroughs, Zevran's always sitting in the chair, but what about for everyone else?  I was wondering if it was because he was the PC's champion in the duel, but I've got no idea... XD

I noticed it last time, because I liked the fact that Zevran was sitting in the chair and my PC was right next to him. As it should be!

Yeah! Picture went back to current character finally!

I wish I was able to take screenies in fullscreen mode (I did find out I could in windows mode, but I get distracted seening stuff around the game screen). I had what would have been a good picture.

PC talking to Alistair about something in Orzamar, Zevran standing the the background between our ehads staring at us with his arms crossed. Made me think "Hmm, I wonder if Zevran may be worried about what's going on between PC and Alistair?" (non-romanced Alistair, but PC has been nicer to him after Tamlen encounter. Zevran at 100% adore) Just thought it would have been a good screenie of a potentially jealous looking Zevran.

Question: What sort of friendly rating can you get Alistair as a female PC without romancing him? I haven't been gifting Alistair this game.
