Another question for screenies....how do you get such good resolution? I get my game image to highest settings and even the couple of screen shots I was able to take in windows were really blurry.



Is there some other setting I should be doing also?

Jaulen, I play at a really high resolution -- 1920 x 1080 and really high settings as well. I'd be surprised if my screenies didn't look fabulous on lower res screens.



I rarely romance Ali, and if I didn't give him gifts, I don't know how high I'd be able to get him. Ali has a LOT of gifts though. I usually end with him either at 100 friendly or 100 hostile. There's no in betweens for me.

heres a question: when your at Eamons estate in denerim WHY is Sten in your bedroom instead of Zevran/annoying french girl?



there should be a mod that kicks every one but the Dog and your love interest out of your room



also funfact about alistair: while I can get him to high approval I cant seem to get him to the point of friendly until iv given him duncans shield

And what's MORE annoying about Arl Eamon's Denerim estate is Zevran's greeting, after the bedbugs thing, is "Your wish," or "What say you." See, I can imagine him hanging out in the library until bedtime, but he doesn't even seem interested in bedtime there!

I mean I dont get that high approval with him period I havnt even gotten past 70 approval in Xanders game and Iv given him every gift but duncans shield and I havnt been rude to him at all other than making fun of the fact hes a virgin and even then I only lost alittle

oh well not like ti matters in the long run Alistair is destined to be a wondering drunk in that game any ways

Yeah, iirc they stuck Zevran in the library... in the library? Wuh? Having the companions standing around lifelessly was pretty boring, imo. Seemed like a good downtime for some fun discussions & of course, sexytime on a bed and not Morrigan's backpack

ok Gaxkang died and thankfully dropped the fade wall on the first time so I dont have to fight him again (not like its hard to kill him any ways) now its off to murder howe and rescue Xanders future wife

Exactly this. And I was sooo expecting we take advantage of the situation, alas no. Let's hope some nice people will fix this issues of highest importance and deliver some mod.

Nope, not just you.   Though at a glance it the angle also looks a bit like he's backstabbing his teammate . . .

Thanks, ejoslin -yah - should have gotten the H1N1 vaccine when they were passing it out free on campus.  Oh well, good for the sympathy vote, I guess. 

Though I DID have some mighty peculiar Zevran/DAO fever dreams, so maybe it was worth it after all.

i also wished in Eamon's that there was more....action. And why was Sten and Morrigan in my room (maybe Sten likes the PC more than he's willing to admit?)



I have Alistair just high enough to have him request the Goldanna quest (right before the Broodmother......maybe he's got future vision in this game?) and he's still at warm. I'll check to see if he goes friendly tonight. Going to go back to camp before Anvil of the Void to get some stockpiled elfroot prior to Branka...need health potions and injury kits!

That's one thing I miss about not having Wynne, needing injury kits.....we're getting creamed with injuries this game for some reason.....even if we don't get knocked out/killed.

Oh, Eamon's is terrible that way! I remember trying to sex up Alistair before the final battle, all alone in his room, and he gives his typical, "We're not exactly alone..." Oh Alistair, leave it to you to ruin a great moment. >.<

Sten is in your room? I didn't even realize that, since I didn't recruit him the first time (forgot to before leaving Lothering). That's completely silly!

OK, so I was going to try and harden Alistair this playthrough, but since I've been keeping him neutral I realized I'd never get his approval up enough to do it. So I redid Goldanna's and decided to choose one of the mean responses afterward. Got a -20 from Alistair and now he'll sit firmly at +2 approval unless I somehow do something he approves of...
I like to think of it as making up for all the times my HN wanted to yell at him but didn't because I stupidly thought you had to be at +100 to marry him... :innocent:

And good news, I can definitely get Zevran up to friendly status! But question, is there anything different in the endings if he's at ~+85 friendly vs +100 friendly? I can get him to 100 but only if I shower him with gifts, and that makes me feel like a terrible person...

haha I'm on my fanfic kick at the moment and writing about my Brosca, only done six chapters and no Zevran yet, even though he's going ot be a pretty big part in it. It amuses me that I've written 14000ish words on stuff and I haven't even reached Lothering yet in the story. >.>

You want him at +91 Friendly at least to hear about his final mission (if he talks about it in the 80s, PLEASE tell me as that means I have an error in my faq, but it was my in-game experience that that dialog is an option at 91+ friendly or 71+ Adore).  I think there are differences as well at the gates.

Oh, of course! How could I forget? I'll try to get him up there then. May involve some gifts, but I'll just think of them as "feelings that didn't need to be said out loud".

It was disappointing how little approval you actually get from the Taliesan encounter. I got +4 for asking him to stay as a friend, and I tried the friendship dialogue and only got +3. Although I guess none of the companion quests give as much approval as they should...

Ah well, Howe's place should bump him up a bit. Now if only I could yell at Alistair some more...

Nonvita, talk to him at camp. You should be able to get an approval jump there as well.

Edit: There are two dialogs associated with freeing him from the Crows.  One immediately after, and one at camp, though your approval I think has to be at least 71+ for the camp one (which you're at).
