My mage would go around the twist. He would lay WASTE to whoever took Zevran from him, which probably means a deal with demons, since he's a healer, not anyone who does the fire and brimstone type magic. Once the vengeance had been sufficiently dished, off to the Black City to get him back or if that's impossible, stay there with him.

This sort of reminds me of Lost, if any of you guys follow it - the last episode with Sayid going to the Smoke Monster to ressurect the love of his life.

You know, I think us mages seem to be leaning towards Willow-style vengeance after "Your shirt..." =/

Gonna watch Lost later tonight.. so glad it's back to Sayid. I swear, I'm at my breaking point with Kate-isodes. 

I know, i know, the boots and gloves! It looks so funny, tbh. But also kinda hawt. Sadly I didn't have Zevran's kneepads on that save game...

I have to say, I have developped quite a liking for Zevran as of late. I usually don't have him in my party, but now that I have, I really like the guy. For starters, he is the only elf that doesn't annoy me. The only party member that has a grasp on politics (love his comment about Harrowmont). And he is funny in a witty and not annoying way (a la Alistair).
I initially didn't like him much because he didn't fit my idea of what an assassin "should" be like. But I got to know him better and I really like the character.

He is quite atypical for an elf (or at least the ones in Fereldan), that is quite true. I really liked his comments about the dwarf king too, and the other random things he says about Loghain (like the small comment in Redcliffe).

He is pretty different from ME2's Thane, who is what I would consider to be one of the standard assassin archetypes.

no Addai, i reloaded for magical meaty glamor! I swear, in my for-really-real run, I wore the archon robe then switched to Wade's plates! I was an arcane warrior afterall... SEE? My avatar isn't naked today... PROOF!

Yes, late reply, but only because I got involved in moving as fast as I can through Orzammar.

Arguing semantics can be fun. Playing Devil's Advocate is just as fun. Playing DA:O trumps both of those

Blair would be devastated. He's never had anyone to love before. He'd go all destroyer of worlds, then round up a bunch of blood sacrifices to rip the Veil open and bring Zevran back. If that didn't work, he'd go into the Fade after him.

That is epic.  I would only be ok with BW killing off Zev if it were storyline for an epic romantic plot like this, complete with reuniting in the Fade, one way or another.

But realy, I second the idea that it wouldn't make sence for Zev to just up and die considering the US ending and stuff... if there's one thing Zev is above all else, it's a survivor.  He couldn't even properly off himself when he tried, after all.    And besides... the work that went into Zev's character, despite him not being integral to the main storyline like Alistair, leads me to suspect that he's a favored child of the developers.  (Sorry Lel, no highly articulated facial expressions for you!  LOL )  And we've seen David Gaider defend Zevran or explain away misconceptions on the forums as well.

I really really hope Mr. Gaider will expand on the story with Zevran.  I really hope he likes the characters enough, and knows they are loved enough, not to start from scratch or else retire them to mere cameos in the future.  There is just so much more that can be explored!  Like Antiva! But I know that the devs have to answer to EA and stuff... I hope the fact that the continuous story the ME series has going was a hit with fans is enough to show them that yes, that is what role players want...  Why should a character's story end after such a short span of time, if the character lives on?  If the game was a success, it makes no sence to start over.


( bursts into flow chart induced laughter)  That is a very messy diologue tree.

I didn't use Oghren at all last time, but this time round I kept him in my party right from when he first joined. I ended up with an all-male party (Zevran, Oghren and Alistair, and my male elf mage) who talked about drinking and insulted each other. It was fun for a change. Oghren really respects Zevran (though he tries not to let on that he does) which made me warm to him.



I wasn't going to bother with Shale this time round, but I ended up getting her after the Landsmeet. By that time I'd already sided with Branka. When I took Shale back to camp she knew what I'd done, and I lost a huge amount of approval right away.
