And I want that picture of Zevran talking to the woman about wasting her best years working at the (I would substitute "university") to post on my office door
and yes, I wanted a kiss at the "did you miss me" line. Fortunately, I got one

Hehe... I think Zevran flirting with the barracks guard was my favorite part of that sequence before the actual rescue. XD I wasn't expecting it at all and I was laughing out loud, particularly since the guard was rather unattractive...
Thank goodness for DT!Raiynsong wrote...

Who actually pictures their warden getting married to Zevran? With a ceremony and such. Or do you picture it just being understood? Obviously, if your Warden marries Anora/Alistair it can't happen, but what about other characters?

I'd love to see my (eventual) DEF rogue marrying Zevran, though I don't picture it to be a huge fancy occasion or anything.
I think CEM is going to have to settle for an understanding, though.

Fort Drakon, when you're first imprisoned, the cutscene prior to your (and Alistair, if he was captured with you) being in your cell. They are obviously freshly dead from torture. Her body is laying on a table, his is kind of tossed over hers.

I think CEM is going to have to settle for an understanding, though.I think they might have some outward sign of it, however -- obviously Zevran has given the earring, so perhaps there'd be some similar gift from the PC's side. (Sentimental!me says, perhaps something of the CE's mother's, except it would have to be something suitable for a man.. hmm. XD)
I'm not sure about it for any of my characters. I don't think it would be necessary, but at the same time, I think it would make them both happy. But for elves to get married, you do have to get permission from the Chantry etc etc and I'm not sure either would want to go through the formalities. I do like the idea of the PC giving a gift similar to the earring, though.
I think the elven mage I just started may end up wanting to get married married though. And for the hero of ferelden, the hassle would be non-existent.

Taliesin cut her throat and I watched her bleed as she stared up at me. I spat on her face for betraying the Crows.
Oh my goodness. I found this unexpected little speech very moving. It was a terrible, shocking story, but he didn't seem to be telling it for sympathy. He was just being honest. What he'd done was truly awful, even though he'd just acted as he'd been taught. Alistair's or Wynne's guilt just couldn't compare to his. Yet he didn't complain about it or try to justify it. He didn't expect my character to do anything about it. There was no quest to help him. He dealt with it himself. I think that was the moment when my PC started to realise he was really something special.

Edit: It really is very touching and very telling how soon he trusts a Warden who's his lover.

Indeed. And if you tell him "that was utterly cruel" (I think that's the line), he'll just say, "it was."

Yes, I think so. What he says afterwards is pretty important - that the PC has given him a reason to live.ejoslin wrote...
Sannox, the interesting thing about him
sharing his final mission, he will share it with a lover at 71+ adore,
but he won't share it with a friend until 91+ Friendly (so AFTER
Taliesen). It's why I'm convinced, as hard as Zevran tries to keep it
casual, he was falling in love the entire time.
Edit: It really
is very touching and very telling how soon he trusts a Warden who's his
lover.
After that, I looked back at the first tent scene, and I was surprised that my PC looked like she was falling in love right from the beginning too.

She did not have that expression in the scene with Alistair, so it's one that's reserved only for Zevran. The story seems to be set up so that you can look back and see the clues that they were falling for each other all along, while thinking they were having just having fun.
It's similar in that respect to my own love story, which is maybe why I find it so appealing!

What I think is so hard for Zevran to tell you is that he wanted to die. He, after all, has freely confessed to you that he's done terrible things. But that he got so low that even his struggle to overcome everything in his life seemed pointless, telling you that is when his facade has to drop. The only wall that is left to crumble is his pretense that he does not really love the Warden (if romanced).Sannox wrote...

It is indeed a big moment. This is him telling my HNF about Rinna.

I know. The first time round, I hovered over that option for quite a while, but in the end I couldn't bear to use it. The second time, I did use it, and his response is heartbreaking. It brought a lump to my throat. None of the other characters have moved me in that way, or maybe it's the options I've chosen - I don't know. It's good to have a place to talk about it, anywaysenorfuzzylips wrote...

Otherwise, I don't see it as necessary. In fact, I never found the idea of weddings all that romantic. Wild passion and an understanding so deep it need not be spoken is far more romantic to me. Weddings just seem like a big dog and pony show that detract from the meaning of the relationship rather than reinforce it. Just an outdated tradition as far as I'm concerned.

A thought just crossed my mind, I am not sure it has been said before. But could this "dark wolf" in Awakening be Zevran? The dark wolf seems to be a political agent / spy / possible assassin who will assist the Warden in dealing with traitorous banns.
Oh, that would be awesome. I haven't been reading a thing about Awakenings so I don't even know what that is. Gah, I'm refusing to get my hopes up! But now they're up a little!
