Oh I'll spare him on my mage, although she'd never execute Alistair. Otherwise unfortunate events have always led me to slicing his throat. Would spare him on my HN, but she's going to become Queen, so it's all about priorities...
Though, come to think of it, my mage will probably have Loghain sacrifice himself, so he'll still be dead...

Can you become Queen while sparing Loghain? (I haven't gotten to a HN of either plumbing yet)

If you can, I couldn't see being Queen and letting either Loghain or Anora live....



And I HATE Orzamar and the Deep Roads!!!! Ugh. So much running hither and yon, loading screens going into and out of stores.....*ugh* But *yeah!* finished Orzamaer last night. Time to call the landsmeet tonight

If you spare Loghain, Alistair will leave. You can marry him off to Anora, but there's no way to become Queen yourself.

And I'm almost to Landsmeet as well. Woot woot! Strength and luck be with you.

Nope, that's impossible. Only way to 'keep' Alistair and Loghain in the game, is forcing Alistair to marry Anora and then recruting Loghain.

It's terrible right? It takes like 10 hours (overstatement obviously) to complete it. It just never ends. I figured after fighting Jarvia I would be halfway there, but the Deep Roads are really big. And for certain quests you just keep running from one place to another.

I let Loghain live this time. I think he's an interesting character and I wanted to see what would happen. He claimed that he would be willing to sacrifice himself by killing the archdemon to atone for his crimes. But he didn't. He let me do the final blow. (And he didn't know that I'd done the ritual with Morrigan, so that wasn't an excuse).

What happens if you do the dark ritual but have Alistair in your party? Does he accidentally forget to sacrifice himself too? Or does he know about the ritual?

Mind you, Zevran did most of the killing as usual, sometimes in mid-air.



I'm looking forward to trying the ZevranASAP mod next.
