I not only don't see Morrigan as sociopathic, I don't even see her as evil.  When she says that only survival and power has meaning, my elven characters nod their heads, even if they're less ruthlessly pragmatic about that approach to life than she is.  I mean, you've obviously concluded that Loghain can be pardoned for his ruthlessness, but not Morrigan?  [Edit:  Oh, and I also don't see the Dark Ritual as being evil.  I'm convinced Morrigan is going to save the world with that demon baby of hers.  And I'm going to cheer about it if she does!  I just heart the character... not to mention that I find her indispensable as a mage.]
Not to derail from Zevran... Zevran, Zevran... how my Sereda will love you.    I hope.  I still can't quite see the elf-dwarf thing, but I am getting there.  Realizing how lost she must feel from being suddenly made casteless helps me get inside her.  I think Zevran will find it intriguing that she's a dwarven princess bereft of her kingdom.  That, and maybe he hasn't slept with a dwarf before (that's my theory on the smiles!!) and so at first it will be all novelty.  For both of them, probably.

Elf/Dwarf is SO taboo; absolutely no one would approve of it.  I loved that, really.  And him smiling the entire tent scene was just great.  My DC clicked with him because they were so much alike, but my DN fought it the entire way.  She's the one (well, of two -- my first playthrough, the Alistair dumped one, also didn't) that didn't go to the tent until after the proposal.

And CZ, yes, if the Zevran romance is handled badly, that WOULD cure me.  And I could get on with FF13 (which my husband bought for me, hoping it would get me off my PC and onto the xbox).  My kids, they just roll their eyes at this point.  Though they have been complaining that I get more videogame time than they do (by FAR).  I tell them it's because I don't have homework!

Edit: Ok, see, THIS is what I mean.  I talk about dwarf sex in a post, and it's at the very top of a page.  If it were profound or insightful, it'd be at the bottom, like second to last or something.

the only video games my parents touch are Wiik bowlign and games on face book which she pretty much plays all day long

good thing we have multiple pcs in the house (2 laptops and 2 normal ones)


also you know what would be nice...the earring he gives you turns out to be equippible in Awakenings

Typical elf/dwarf rivalry.  It probably isn't really taboo, but I liked to think of it as exceedingly rare.

Well that's one theory of Morrigan and I actually took her that way the first and second playthroughs. It was when my mage didn't do *any* of her quests about the grimoires [amd she still approved over 90%, go figure] that I came to the realization that she had only one agenda--to get that GodBaby. Now, either that's a writer/programmer failing or she knows exactly what she wants from the second she joins the party, Flemeth saves you *only* to give it to her [for whatever reasons they're in cahoots, might just be convenience] and her whole Flemeth/grimoire party line is bullcrap. And she does *nothing* for anyone else, ever.

The dif is that Loghain genuinely loves his daughter, and however misguided/arrogant/dark or self-absorbed, he actually does have a bigger agenda than his own desires.

Yes, I see where she *acts* vulnerable--however it so mirrors Leliana's behaviour that like a sociopath I have to wonder if it's not the same chameleon act.

She hasn't learned anything from her cold upbringing by Flemeth--if she did [and yes I'm going for GodBaby this time to see the results] and letting her raise a child without someone else to stop her from spreading her poison is about the creepiest thing I can imagine because she approves of Flemeth's parenting skills.

im annoyed it doesnt even show up in your inventory if you make him do the proposal instead of accepting it the first time!

Edit: And yes, CZ, that is the worst part (the only bad part) about turning down the earring the first time and getting a proposal instead.  HOWEVER, an actual earring . . . oooooooh!

Actually elf-anything is taboo in elven culture. The elves marry their own. The dwarves would obviously lose their caste.

So yeah--that would be double taboo.
