Xanders blatantly cheating on Anora infront of Loghain though

and Loghains reaction to Cailens letters in RtO was "that CHEATING Bastard!"

so I doubt loghain would like what Xand and Zev are doing

Hah, I had to peek. I remember why I stay away from there. People really get angry that other people like the romances so much.

Edit: I think it's good people complain. Loud and louder.  I hope that means that there will be more romance in additional expansions.  People really want them continued!

Oh, playing my mage last night, I had a long talk with Morrigan outside the Chantry in Lothering, activated that romance, got her Approval up high enough, then walked over the bridge to release Sten. What conversation triggers? the "Mister Lets-Make-Kissy-Faces" one. I had so wanted to hear that one, reading it did not do it justice!

Anora betrays us   We had agreed earlier that Alistair would marry her...so this surprised me
they vote for us anyway 
I have :wub:Zevran:wub: be my champion.  he wins of course 
I put up Alistair as king   He acts all surprised but is willing do to it to keep "the ****" off the throne.
Of course at that point, I don't want him to marry anora anymore, and I decide not to keep Loghain alive.
we end up back in our room.  Alistair comes in
Tells me, WOW, why did you put me up for king, when you knew I didn't want it.

then he proceeds to tell me this will have BAD implications for "us"
. . ....He was at Friendly, and I had just had a Morrigan dialog about me and Zevran....

I answer that "I wasn't aware that there WAS an US"
he gets all maudlin about "well, I thought there was, but now there can't be... la la la"
I say, no. definltely not. etc:sick:


So...now I'm not sure I even want to finish the game, since I didnt' get what I wanted... DId my game screw up ?
I have DT, Alistair Tweaks, and endgame I think...Unless the recent patch deleted some of that...

Anyone know ?

Heh, yes, your game bugged.  I had a game where he dumped my elf at the landsmeet -- but she was at -34 hostile. But Alistair sounding like he wasn't hardened also.  It won't hurt your romance with Zevran, nor should it affect your endgame choices. But it IS annoying when it happens! CZ has had it happen to a male character as well.

Edit: Oh hell yes.

Well, I know when I've put him as King he always says, I can't believe you made me King when you knew I didn't want it. As for the relationship, nope, I made sure in Selene's run that I broke his little boy heart. Kitrina was totally head over heels for Zev, and Titian never even activated the romance.

yeah I've made Alistair king before and romanced Zevran and didnt have it bug...he says he doesn't want to be king but doesnt go on and on about the romance.  Although he did keep saying "maybe it was all in my head."  and I'm saying, DUH we broke up!

*snicker* Well, Selene made Al marry the royal b*tch, Kitrina made him solo-King.. Surreal made the royal b*tch rule alone and took Al to rebuild the Wardens, and keep her bedroll warm. Titian, much like ejoslin does, is marrying Al to be Queen, but will be snuggling up with Zev to make the Royal Heirs.

Just to throw this out there. Zevran approves of keeping the anvil. He is smarter than I thought. My PC is definately going to make him his advisor / personal assassin.

Yeh, a lot of women criticize Zevran for his supporting the Anvil, but he is a pragmatist. The approval hit taken down to -1 if you use the persuade check. Keep in mind you can completely remove the disapproval for slaughtering the Dalish and the Mages with a persuade check. He still disapproves if you destroy it even when using the persuade check, but he at least understands why.

And yeh, he is definitely the best advisor. But I could squee for a long time about that, and I know it gets boring after awhile!

@ Ejoslin. Heh, I didn't even contemplate destroying it in this playthrough, so I didn't hear him dissaprove. I have to find that on Youtube.
Can anyone of you remember what he said if you propose to destroy the anvil?

I am too lazy to go through my screenies right now, but he says something like, "peasants are forced to work the fields every day but we don't burn farmland to stop it. It just seems a waste, destroying the Anvil, seeing what it could do."

That's not exact, but it's really close.

Edit: I should find the screenies, because that is not quite it.  But it's the basic meaning.
