I had guessed that was RtO you were speaking of. Zev I know likes the deal. I've taken him there with another charrie.

I don't know, CZ. I think it's different writers having a different view of the characters. There's nothing in the mage tower or at redcliff that would indicate that Zevran thinks dealing with demons is a good thing (or bad), but yet you get large approval increases in two of the DLCs for that. Just like there's nothing to indicate that he would want the darkspawn to have a morale boosting trophy, but you get that approval drop for cutting down the body (no matter how you dispose of it) and an approval gain for letting the darkspawn have their fun with it.

I would rather not have either the approval gains or drops from the DLCs -- they're jarring. Most people don't complain about the approval gains, but they also make NO sense when looked at what he approves of or disapproves of in the vanilla game.

Edit: @SurrealSadi, I've gotten into the bad habit of not quoting (SO lazy) so I wasn't sure!

He approves if you let it happen as long as you made a deal with it, though.  Same amount of approval, in fact.

Edit: I just ignore the approval in the DLCs, tbh.  If you take Sten or Shale with you to warden's keep, they'll override what Zevran says if you deal with Sophia, and Honnleath and RtO pretty much cancel each other out.

Second edit: And I agree. I think it is seriously out of character for him to approve of letting a helpless girl get possessed like that.  Which is why I think its different writers, and sloppiness as well.

Agreed.  It's very wrong and OOC and jarring.  And I'm not sure why it's like that -- most other characters are not so OOC in the DLCs.

Edit: Warden's keep is probably not so bad, I can see him admiring cunning when no one gets hurt.  But even so, he doesn't approve in the mage's tower if you let the desire demon go, even though he thinks the "relationship" is funny.  So I don't know.  That's why I discount the reactions in all the DLCs.

Don't do it!  You want Zev in the fade! Trust me on this.

Edit: Do redcliff and sacrifice Isolde!  *grin* You don't even have to take an approval loss from Ali (though Morrigan will be a little annoyed if you make her go and confront the demon).  Anyway, with Ali, make sure he's in your party when you talk to Bann Teagan, and back at camp, when he confronts you, tell him you think things went well.

Yeah and I'm trying to romance Ali and Zev so that THIS go round when Zev begins the "choose me or him" conversation I can choose Zev and get a happy face instead of his little hurt face!



I was seriously surprised about that last time. I just thought we were having sex, I didn't know it was in any way a "romance" (I tried to stay unspoiled, so I didn't know how the game was set up in terms of what counted and what didn't and what you could do with your companions) and then suddenly he's asking and I'm like "Oh well you and I were just having fun so I guess I'll have to choose Alistair" and he looked really hurt.

11 pages. You really are something. Haven't read much yet, need coffee. The impression I get is about the demons and Zevran's approval of dealing with them. It might be that he approves either way, but I just role-play it the way that he likes when they are tricked (lied to). It's not so hard, especially because his approval doesn't go away when the lie is revealed.
