I can do 2h with very few AoE since I just knock em out of the fight with sweep and pommel and warcry then we just pick 'em off.

3 melees and Wynne are a hoot

I can't use combat tweaks. I think it messes with DT. Unless the creator fixed it, I haven't checked in a while.

That's why I'm saying he's great in a team. If someone's tanking for him [I was roguing, Alistair tanking] we were knocking 'em down like bowling pins. We were ogre leaping like mad.

Think he's committing suicide? Hmmmm you might have  a point there. Is he conciouslessness enough to take his whole team down with him though? [there's others in the fight]

He says that it was a suicide attempt -- there's no room for interpretation there. As far as the team goes, no one seems to think too much about mercenaries.

SPOILER SPOILER SPOILER:

What he says about the attempt is this:

Zevran: What I wanted was to die.  And what better way than to throw myself at one of the fabled grey wardens.

Edit: And Zev actually ends up tanking quite a bit for me (if I'm not playing a warrior that is).  Not deliberately, but the way he's set up with attacking whatever attacks the warden.  He just doesn't seem to get hit very often.

I tend to keep heavy armor only for tanks. Even my 2h is in medium so yeah--I'd go with light for Zev. When I rogued I always went light myself since they don't get hit much. I go for high dex roguery including Zev if you're going to use him dual. A bit of extra stamina too or he runs out quickly.

Oh thanks, Cuddles. I'll get it immediately. So much for believing everything I read.

You have the WinterForge, don't you CZ? Can you sort of (unless it's a big and bulky explanation) tell me if I can put the "felon's coat" specs onto the ancient elven armor? How would I do that? This mod is baffling to me. I must've had a cup of 'stupid' along with my coffee this morning.

Ah yes, now I remember that convo. Thanks. Of course given Zev's warpedness the same could be said for the 3 other jobs he botched.

Xanders combat build is rather unorthodox , he has about 35 Willpower (this is including bonsues) which could have been dumped into Str to make his damage skyrocket even high but I decided to go with lower damage output for more skill spamming (which is the 2HW's life blood, because even with hase and bloodthirst he isnt going to be attack as fast as a DW dagger rogue on haste+Momentum...yes combat tweaks fixes that bug)

He botched?  First one, well, yes, but I wouldn't call that a botch.  He let himself get manipulated.  Second one, he was just a small part of and killed 11 people on the way.  Third was quite successful.

you cant put it on ancient elven armor you however *can* forge a suit of armor that looks somewhat like it and give it the felon coats stats though (and it destroys the felons coat in the process)

Ill see about making a simple picture guide on how to do it

He also picks and chooses what he tells the Warden. Remember the Guardian: "Many died at your  hands..."

Good point.  You DO hear about a forth assassination of his, just not from him. Isabela's husband.

Edit: and he does pretty much say he's been an assassin for a long time and has both killed and seduced many many people.  His stories were not so much about what a great assassin he was for sure.  The stories he chose to tell about were interesting that they were not boasts. I doubt he would have been alive had he been a bad assassin. And he definitely would NOT have gotten the job to kill the warden had he not been good.

And got robbed by urchins, accidentally killed the mark--I mean the guy is *funny* Somehow [well other than the US] I don't think he's emotionally designed to work well alone. He's a team guy. He even tries to get along with everyone [in his warped way] which is an obvious indication he's much happier in a group.

And "let himself get manipulated"? Well that's not exactly what cold-blooded and exigent assassins do on the job is it?

I'll try your CUN rogue suggestion, Ejoslin. Sounds intriguing.

Hi girl. We seem to be missing each other lately. Nice screenies. I have to put up my amazon offing Flemeth, and Zevran admiring her from the ground. I never had one of mine do that. I was getting quite panicky when she suddenly disappeared. Silly girl.

He out and out tells you he only got the Gray Warden job because no one else would do it--not because he was the best assassin [although surviving the crows initiation he can't be a complete screw up]. He also tells you it was a high profile job he took to make his bones.

So, which story is true? He wants to make his mark or he wants to die?

I was his second mission ever, Swifty. He was more or less a newbie.

As for groups, I think that has a lot to do with his growing during the game. I believe that for the first time in his life, he is among a group of people dedicated to the same goal. Not for the same reasons (Morrigan and patriotic reasons), but all of the allies have one ultimate goal.

It doesn't make sense that we miss each other a lot. I spend more time talking to ejoslin lately and she is on the other side of the globe. Though we missed each other last night and this morning 'cause I had to work (that was no fun at all).

You saw my 'Sabriana-special-screenie delivery'? I promised you to make a screen from my new mage and I did. It is like 20 pages back, so you might have missed it. Image IPB

I think he likes it because it's his substitute family. The goal is just what's in front of him that makes him think he's finally doing something worthwhile. For the first time nobody's bashing him, abusing him or enslaving him so I suspect he warms up to that.

Well, that's Zev's "problem" - he's not cold-blooded, despite being taught to. Plus, he was young and naive then, it was second job ever.  I think the story shows that he's good-natured. He managed to supress it to the extent through his training, but that's who he is.

I never said he was cold blooded. He himself says he's not, and considers it a weakness of character. It's only if the warden does the ultimate sacrifice that he becomes cold blooded in fact, especially if romanced -- no one ever gets close again.  But I think the conversation has shifted.  I never said he didn't like being part of a team -- one way to get his approval to jump a LOT is to tell him how glad you are to have him with you.

But he also was not a bad assassin.  You only hear what he tells you, but he also leaves most of his assassinations unsaid. There's actually one more mark he'll tell a romanced partner about after he falls in love -- his first.  Which was also successful.

Oh goodness, Cuddles. I think I love you. Yes, that's what I'm after.

I'll go searching Ramante. Yeah, I've been working long and late, *and* pulled emergency duty the last two weeks. I agree. No fun.

Zevran is very hard to get close to. He is easy to bed, but hard to decipher. To see what he is really all about, he needs a long time. His romance doesn't even finish until all the MQ are done. And even then most people pick options that finish that one of prematurely as well.

Unfortunately, to get the true depth of the man, you have to pick the hard/bad dialogue options, and if you don't save and reload, you can really screw up with him.
