  impolitic. It made the guild's decision considerably easier, I imagine.

He's apparently deemed worthy enough to go against two Grey Wardens, even though the Crows don't really like the idea.

More Conversation spoilers ahead:

• Alistair: Plenty of reasons. Starting with the fact that you weren't exactly the best they had, were you?
• Zevran: Slandar and lies. For shame, Alistair.
• Alistair: I'm not an idiot. Well, not most of the time.
  You're no raw recruit, but I've seen you fight. You're no master of
  combat, by any means.
• Zevran: Assuming that I intended a fair fight, that would indeed be a problem.

The rest is Alistair needling, and Zevran ducking, ending with a thinly veiled insult from Zevran to Alistair. He's rogue, they don't do straight on combat.
In my first and unspoiled play-through, I was very surprised to see him and his help-mates so out in the open despite him having high stealth.

Has anyone considered the possibility that Zevran was in a pederastic relationship with Taliesin [not uncommon in warrior cultures] and that as he improved as an assassin over time [which may also be the problem that kills Rinna], Taliesin is afraid of losing his position as cell leader?

Just had the easiest fight I have ever had with Gaxkang, poor sod didnt last more then 2 minutes, where as normally I have alot of trouble with this fight. It was me (2 handed warrior), Oghren (tank), Zev and Morrigan, fight starts and Morrigan casts Glyph of Neutralization on Gax then Me, Og and Zev beat him down so fast Morrigan didn't even have time to run of of mana. Zev ehcoed my own thoughts with "We are ridicousily awesome!" as my character preformed a kill animation on Gax.

Does any know how to enable screenshots? Or know a thread that says how too? I've got to go out for a while and will be looking when I get back, but I though I'd ask just incase...

As for Zev's "ambush" I wasn't surprised when he told me it was ment to fail, as it was too obvious, they could have just shot at you from cover, maybe taking out some of your companions, then attacking to finish off the suriviors.

Does anyone have a saved game sometime after the Taliesen encounter and before Zevran offers the ring a second time? Preferably also a saved game that has a romance going with Leliana at any time (just to see if the DT anytime Kiss option is intact).



I have the DT compatible ring version done, but I'm asking the author (Vaire) before I release it in a .dazip format. I will be uploading the actual .dlg/.dlb files soon though, so you can manually edit the DT .override if you use that version.

Hmmmm, Swifty, I actually assumed that Zevran and Taliesen were the same age. No real reason to believe that, though. It being pederastic is possible, and very interesting to think about. It does make a lot of sense.

Hi Charsen. I just looked, and I don't have either. I never had any of my PCs romance Lel on purpose. How was your vacation?

Personally, I think that Zevran and Talisen were the same age, and were purchased around the same time. However, the pederastic relationship is an interesting thought.

Edit: As a complete aside, blood wound + cone of cold = a whole new level of trivializing the game.

Trust me, I'm still trying to belive it myself (I was playing on Normal btw)...I despise that fight normally (I find the High Dragon easier). A 2 Handed Warrior is crazy strong when built right and the fact he can lower a targets armour by 20 and has gets 25% Armour Peneration as part of  a talent (and Morri uses Telikeentic Weapons), I belive this what made the fight so easy as that plus the Armour Peneration must have had Gax's Armour at 0 or close to.

Ok - I have uploaded the files. You'll have to do a quick copy/paste into Vaire's Dialogue Tweaks for now. I am currently talking with Vaire to see how I can distribute this as a dazip because I don't want to step on anyone's toes, and I definitely don't want to cause any version confusion down the road, so for now, it'll have to be either a .override or a manual installation.

edit: oh yeah, vacation was put on hold, sadly. Woke up yesterday with extreme food poisoning, so slept all day and played some ME2 when i could. Feeling better today but in no shape to drive, so i'll just stay home and mod all break...

Ok, BM/AW is way overpowered. Stupidly so. I'm only level 14, so not that powerful yet, but since AW penalizes mana and BM casts from health, it's crazy. I need a few more levels before she will be really powerful, but it's easy to see the potential.

I loved blood wound and cone of cold, and the occasional mana clash. I'm trying out a dual wield warrior (my avatar) but it's not grabbing me yet, and I'm sneaking off to play my human mage. I also have a city elf rogue. I can't seem to settle on one.

I have an archery specialist wandering around in Redcliffe (pre-battle), and a mage traipsing around in Lothering (post-Zevran). Now I have two, and I can't decide either, Sannox. But I do want to try out the BM/AW so badly...,

Yay, Charsen. I'm quite far away from the 'earring' for both, so I'll be watching this closely. I'm hoping that I don't have to romance Leliana, but for you, I'd have my poor PC do it.

Yeah well it's true. As a writer I try to see all the way through the possibilities. The fact my novel isn't getting it's fair share of attention is meaningless. This is research.  Honest...

Ok, works perfectly with the manual version of DT. Leliana's kiss works as well. So does Zevran's. OMG, I'm so squee right now. I just went through both Leliana declaring her feelings and Zevran declaring his. I don't think the Zevran one will EVER grow old.

Edit: When you release the dazip version of your earring, I will switch back to the dazip of DT, but wow.  This mod is fabulous.  Thank you so much.  I LOVE the give gesture you added as well.  

Second edit: Just read your edit.  Gah, sorry about your vacation I hope you feel better soon!

I had to stop using snow cones with the 2H'er. It was just too easy.
When you start feeling sorry for the darkspawn cuz they're going down
like bowling pins it's just not fun!

Having a whole group of mobs shatter is just stupid. Though it makes sense that blood wound works like crushing prison makes sense, I did not expect to destroy that many all at once.  It didn't shatter ALL of them, but enough that it made a challenging encounter too easy.

Edit: Though, really, what makes this overpowered is AW severely penalizes mana use, but BM uses health and even when in BM mode, AW still just penalizes mana.

Yes, Sabriana, it's crazy. You freeze them with cone of cold, then cast blood wound which is group crushing prison, and they can shatter. It seems to be a low chance, but it drastically cut down on my last fight!

That's my personal problem with BM/AW,  it's a build with no weakness: 25% dodge, Max Resistances, 100 Mental Resistance and I think I had something like 80 Physicial Resistance (this is from what I remember so I could be about the mental and Physicial bit), can have Haste, Arcane Shield, Rock Armour, Spell Might etc running without worries about lack of Mana and +Contisution items aren't hard to get e.g. Life Giver (+10) and Blood-Gorged Amulet (Constitution +12, -3 Strength,-3 Willpower), Helm of Honnelth+Key to the City+Aundriels Blessing (+6 to ALL stats) means that you can have 38 Con + Level points....  

You get the idea....

Ok, had to test Charsen's mod further. It works perfectly with DT.

Charsen, seriously, thank you for this mod.  I am not sure why, but having that earring makes a real difference, especially with the give gesture.  It really seems more like he's giving an engagement gift there.  Oh, just squee.  I'm actually going to replay the ending of one of my human nobles because of that, because she is NOT going to end up married to Alistair -- she's already engaged to Zevran and she's going to be selfish.  And that's the one I'm taking to awakenings.

Yes, the impact is THAT great.  Thank you again, so much.
