Yes, Sabriana, it's crazy. You freeze them with cone of cold, then cast blood wound which is group crushing prison, and they can shatter. It seems to be a low chance, but it drastically cut down on my last fight!
Argh... now I really don't know what to do with my new mage. I want her to be a BM, but I don't know what to do as a second spec. My AW/SH mage is mweh, because the build is very defensive... so I want to do it different. I could go for a BM/SH, so very magic mage (nani?) or for a BM/AW, very fighting mage.. I was thinking about making her BM/SH, but all your stories make BM/AW sound so interesting. I hate you all.
I had a question about Zevran and the earring, but it seems like the answer is in the FAQ ejoslin wrote. Nice job on that one. x3

Has anyone considered the possibility that Zevran was in a pederastic relationship with Taliesin [not uncommon in warrior cultures] and that as he improved as an assassin over time [which may also be the problem that kills Rinna], Taliesin is afraid of losing his position as cell leader?
I reckon Taliesin and Zevran where about the same age, give or take a few years, and were of the same status in the Crows. They were definately schtupping though, and Tailesin's motivations regarding the merchant/Rinna were very much rooted in jealousy. Rinna never stood a chance, poor cow
One thing I never get is why Taliesin has a "Ferelden" accent; all I can think was that he was sent over to Antiva to work there, or something.

Ok, had to test Charsen's mod further. It works perfectly with DT.
Charsen, seriously, thank you for this mod. I am not sure why, but having that earring makes a real difference, especially with the give gesture. It really seems more like he's giving an engagement gift there. Oh, just squee. I'm actually going to replay the ending of one of my human nobles because of that, because she is NOT going to end up married to Alistair -- she's already engaged to Zevran and she's going to be selfish. And that's the one I'm taking to awakenings.
Yes, the impact is THAT great. Thank you again, so much.
I actually am hoping to improve that give-gesture. Right now it's a bit choppy and I'm thinking I could modify it to be more.... touching.
BTW, I can also adjust the dialogue trees if anyone thinks they are not quite as intuitive as they should be.
*just talked to Vaire, will be releasing the dazip in a few*

Thank you and I'm glad it was helpful.
With BM/AW, I'm thinking I may have to switch to nightmare -- it really is that powerful. Not that great at level 14, but I can see how it will be insane. I'm in Andastre's temple right now to pick up the sword and necklace. I'll probably use the edge in her off hand. Crazy powerful.

I'm glad you're taking it so well, Charsen. There are certain people here that live in my house and eat my food who get reeeaaalllyyy whiny when they so much as sneeze. I shall hold you up as a grand example of making the best out of everything.

It is a little choppy, but MUCH better with it than without it. If you could make it smoother, that would be even more fabulous. I'm looking forward to doing more testing.
Edit: I think a good adjustment would be having him offer it when you say to him, "I do, and I feel the same." It doesn't make much sense that you don't get the second offer if you go that way.

I just never had a playthrough without a healing mage (I got only 3 serious playthroughs, so not a long history). So I'm a bit 'scared' to go without a healer. Or do you have 2 mages in your team?ejoslin wrote...

I'm really pissed, I got some nice screenies from Zevran, but my sister's boyfriend is draining our internet, so whatever I do, my pc refuses to upload the files.

I do not. I have a heal spell. One. It seems to be adequate so far! But my party drinks health potions at <50% health.

That's what I usually do, I go to the dalish quite early just to unlock the merchant, and... well, you know, those gloves... ahem.

I also don't actually do the dalish quest right away after unlocking. Well not all the time, anyways.

Ramante, just make lots of potions and set either the first or second tactic slot to Self -> Health -> less than 50 (or 75 even) -> use health potion, least powerful.

I'm quite new to this sort of games (mostly because my mom tries to shield me from them). So I don't really know how to go without the assurance of a healer, simply because I don't have much experience in game tactics.
I'm sure about going BM with her, so I might as well give her that spec first, then I have 7 levels to think about the second spec. This means going back to Lothering and doing the Zev encounter again. *grin*
What surprised me during the first encounter was that Zev attacked me with bow and arrow and not with his daggers. That was really surprising. (not that it helped him a lot, obviously)

I agree- When I first played through, that was the option I picked. When I didn't get the ring, I reloaded and took the ring after Taliesin, figuring he thought I was some kind of ingrate.
So i will be working on the plus version today. =)
dazip is also up, btw, it includes the other files from dialogue tweaks (since there is no way to have one dazip override a part of another dazip, sigh)

Yes - just uninstall the original DT .dazip file and install the new ZevringDT dazip, it should contain everything from the original DT. But that's why I want someone with a Leliana romance to check if "Kiss her" is available just to be 100% certain. I should really try to get a character going to romance her too, I suppose..
Hmm, that reminds me, I will have to look into other mods that change DT and see if I can support compatible versions too. *hates dazips*

Yes, I was suprised too (in retrospect). I think he attacked my rogue at range, but ran up to my male mage. My characters attacked him rather than the others, and so it looks like they did as bad a job of killing him as he did of getting killed. They must have 'known'
It would be funny if the rest of the assassins all started getting up and groaning, and it turned out I'd made a bad job of killing the rest of them too.

I would love that change as well Charsen. It mattered not in my first play-through because my mage was still a little jittery after being dumped in public. That made her a bit gun-shy, otherwise I'd have picked "I feel the same" too. She also refused the first earring offer for the same reason. If it didn't mean anything, she didn't want it. She had enough of run-away lovers.
Well, at least that silly mage was good for something.

Those dazip files are in the 'Addins' folder right? Is the DT dazip file named avaraen_dt?
Knowing me, I would end up deleting the wrong files.

@jenovan: I've noticed Zevran's gesture at the post-coronation. I take it that he's calling something along the lines of "huzzah." Him standing there looking at you... that is totally squee and I hadn't noticed that!

Ooh, i never thought about him shouting, that also makes sense XD (probably more sense than my ideas, hehehe). The way he stands and looks at the pc after the speech, though...
