What's the (Romantic) Appeal of Zevran?

But considering that my HNF's sister-in-law didn't have an accent either, it is rather strange that the accent is not universal.
Thanks, Sami Jo. It just feels weird to dump points into CON. I'm with Ramante there.
Sorry to hear that, CZ. I hope you feel better soon.

I like Zevran in Shadow Warden Coat. It would be even better if it revealed his thighs!
I haven't cought up with new pages yet and someone may have already answered that question, but I guess it never hurts to post some more Zevran screenies
It's a hot, black armor that can be found on Nexus
Ahh... I'm sweating a little.

@everyone: thanks for the clarification re: the boots and the mission he was on when not buying them.
@Creature -- hmm, yeah, considering Taliesen's name (which gets spelled both ways in the game itself! Sigh ;D) and his accent, I pondered the fact that he might be Fereldan in origin. Duncan has a somewhat similar story in The Calling.
Maybe that's why Zevran's Fereldan is so good -- he seems muuuch more articulate than Ignacio. Although I'm sure both being a Crow and growing up in a major capital would give Zevran enough opportunities to learn the language, having a friend to practice with might help too? /random thought

QFT, I like how you put this.sami jo wrote...
Zev is practical. He has a soft spot for those who cannot help themselves, but he has no patience with solving problems for those who can fix it on their own. He is a survivor, and while he doesn't trust Morrigan, he does respect her and she respects him. He wants everyone to underestimate him.
He is never really in the group to save the world. He's not sorry that they are saving the world, but that isn't why he is there. He is there solely for the Warden, and if the Warden wanted to go slaughter kittens he would register a protest and then go along with it. It is one of the biggest appeals for me about the romance--he is the only character other than your dog who is there solely for you. He will only leave if you tell him to or if you do nothing at all to earn his loyalty. Oghren is close, but he is following you out of desperation. He has lost everything and fighting darkspawn is all he knows how to do right. Zev is the one who notices when the Warden is stressed. Zev cares about the Warden's happiness above all else.
I think he took the mission to kill the Wardens knowing that he probably wouldn't succeed, but he is too much of a survivor to have totally given up. I think some part of him hoped that if he did succeed he would be able to return and throw it in the face of the master who valued him so little. I think he was seeing it as either proving that he was worth something and returning triumphant, or dying because the master was right.

LOL I should emphasize, he is nervous about any mods because we're both computer doofuses and if I mess something up, we'll be like babes lost in the woods. Not because they all center around an Antivan assassin. Ok, maybe a bit of both...Herr Uhl wrote...

Mods can screw up your game, but not your computer. They don't have that kind of power. If in doubt, just ask, There are dirty mods, and there are clean ones. That's what is so great about the DAModder, it checks for compatibility. Mods that involve texture and meshes can be a bummer, but here will always be someone around who can help you.

I've just had some wine with my friend who'd finished her first DAO play through recently romancing Alistair. I spent at least half hour advertising Zevran's romance to her. She must think I'm a looney now. An even bigger looney than before, anyway.
Have you seen 'Leliana must have gotten into Flemeth's Black
Grimoire' thread? If not, check out this video. Funniest-glitch-ever. Seriously.

That's true, but some mods can't be installed using DAModder. That's when I get nervous, moving files around into folders unknown. This Shadow Armor, which I immediately decided I must have- it is exactly what I was whinging about when I talked about Oblivion's Dark Brotherhood armor- well, DA Modder doesn't like the file.Sabriana wrote...

just unzip the mod into a "shadow armor" folder then flonk said folder into the override folder
thats all you have to do and if you want to uninstall it for some reaosn just delete the shadow armor folder

Ok, after doing (I know unnecessary) testing on all three races, it's beautiful. I can't think of a thing I would change. Charsen, when you have it up on DA Nexus, may I have your permission to link to it?
*sigh* wow.
absolutely! i'm glad you like it.
I am uploading it to the Nexus now, trying to make sure everything is all happy and polished - I will post again when it's all ready to go.
Yes ma'am just overwrite the DT files and you should be good to goEislyn wrote...
Charsen, quick question if you would. I'm using the DT manual version. Would I just extract your files to my DT folder, and allow them to overwrite the DT files? I'm assuming this is correct, but let me know if it isn't!
Thank you so much for the mods. I'm really enjoying ZevranASAP, and am looking forward to playing with this new one.

I have a question about the Earring mod does it add the earring into your invantory even if you have already had the cutscene by the time you installed it?
I would test it out myself however I have a really bad headache coming on and really need to go lay down to get rid of it
if you install it after your discussion with zevran about the ring and he "gives" you the ring, sadly it won't add it later on. I might try to fix that in the future though, or at least have a work-around, but i will have to think about how to do it.
edit: i hope you feel better CZ, that's an awful way to spend the day

well you could always add in a console code that adds the earring into your inventory

Edit: Ok, testing the breakups. It does trigger earlier than I thought. Maybe at 81+ Maybe at 75+. Will find out soon!
Second edit: Ok, he will tell it at +76 (Friendly). *sigh* Three breakups to find out exactly where the threshold was. Ugh.

I have a Zevran question! Yes, yes, I do, and I do not want to go through a breakup to figure it out (sorry, I'm not strong enough today). Does someone know, off hand, whether the final mission dialog triggers at 81+ friendly or 91+ friendly? This obviously is for friendzone Zevran (I know where it triggers in a romance). I thought it was 91+ friendly, but just had a dialog trigger with Leliana at 81+ Friendly, so now I'm unsure. *sigh* I suppose I should just breakup with him on my one character I know has not gotten the talk yet, but has all his gifts, but that makes me so sad.
Edit: Very smart to edit your post right after my response.

Awww, thank you for offering though. It's at +76 (Friendly). It took a few breakups to figure it out. Ouch. Those are bad, even at "care."
Now I must test Charsen's mod with a character who hasn't been to the tent with Zevran beforehand!
