Ok, now that Zevran has his tuxedo :D I need to figure out how to get the earring installed.

I am so squee at the thought of my mage being called Sula Arainai.  Somehow, the earring makes it more official.  She would definitely want a wedding of some sort...  maybe they would ask Lanaya to do something.  Neither of them are Dalish, but something more elven would be far more amenable to an elven bloodmage than a Chantry wedding.

do you think Zevran would want a Dalish ceremony though? I mean he said at some point that he considers himself Antivan... I wonder what an Antivan ceremony would even be like

considering he ended up going back to the crows, and how dalish life didnt live up to expectation on top of being hard, I wouldent think he would want a dalish ceremony he doesnt even consider himself dalish

Hah, perhaps.  Zevran strikes me as pretty faithful after he falls in love!  But, well, that's just ME!  Maybe he's only against casual sex with the warden

*sigh* Someone actually put in the Zevran Wiki that he could be picked up after the Honnleath quest. I wonder about people sometimes.

Heh, I edited it out, but still!  *grin* I've fixed that Wiki so many times -- I didn't think people were still adding bad information so I haven't checked it in awhile.  Now I understand why someone was asking about it.  Instead of plowing my way through Orzammar, I just triple checked that instead (I knew SurrealSadi was right, though).  Ah well, back to Orzammar, and hopefully I'll get through a lot of it before bedtime!

My Aeden IS a sexy beast.  I'm actually inspired to play him, now.

Ugh, Aurora (FHN) is in Orzammar right now, Bownammar to be exact. I really don't want to go through that.

Does everyone name their MHN Aedan? I named mine Bastien lol. I don't like leaving the default names.

Eh, it's only grindy if you want titles.  And with a couple of exceptions, having titles in GW was never really worth much, IMO ;D  Great game, but I had enough of it in 2 years.  Will be looking forward to GW2... whenever that actually comes out.. XD

@ Antivan weddings, yes, I'm imagining something festive and boisterous X3

@ default names, I never use 'em, and all but my first PC are named after other characters of mine, but of course, the one time I made up a name from scratch, it turned out to be a sort of comical coincidence. :?

My PC would just never want a Chantry wedding.  He doesn't consider himself Dalish and she certainly doesn't, either, but those would be the only two choices as far as I could see.  I imagine Antivans would have the same Chantry ceremony, just with lots more wine, fighting and dancing afterward.  :wizard:

He doesn't want to live among them, and neither does my PC, but that doesn't mean he has anything against them.  He does identify with his mother (see, sad-eyes in the werewolf lair).  He's also an Andrastian, but I think my PC would rather have nothing at all than have a Chantry priestess incanting over their marriage.  Not unless Zevran insisted on it, and I can't see him doing that.

I like the name Aedan so I stuck with it, just as I stuck with Sereda.  Usually I change the first names, however.  Definitely if I have a 2nd playthrough of the same origin.

after how the Dalish treated my Nobles I dont think i would want anything to do with them either <_<

even after I ended the curse the Story teller guy was still an ass to them for no reason

They are not overly warm to "flat ears," either, but Lanaya is a different story. I just can't see my PC wanting a Chantry ceremony. The Chantry, as she sees it, robbed her of her childhood, her family, imprisoned her, and would kill her at the drop of a hat. Asking them to preside over the ceremony is like asking the Crows to host the reception. :D

My elf won't be married by any authority, even besides the fact that there doesn't appear to be gay marriage in Ferelden (certainly not authorized by the Chantry).

The story teller is a butt-head even if you are Dalish. He's just not very friendly. Even my Dalish characters were underwhelmed by that clan.

Whee! I was right on something!!^_^

I NEVER use default names. I refuse to in any game I play, unless it's litterely forced on me. I typically come up with my own, or swipe them from my favorite books, like Surreal, Titian and Saetan. When I make my female mage, she'll be named Jaenelle. When I make another male mage, he'll be Daemon... ^_^

Why not have the ceremony officiated by the King of Ferelden?

Edit: And SurrealSadi, I had no doubt you were right.  I edited the Wiki and changed my FAQ before going and testing it myself. I just like to be able to say, "*I* tested this personally blah blah blah" because I'm anal that way :crying:

Why not?

Dwarves ought to be most against it though.

LOL. Pretty much, and most of the characters I have are male.  Don't aske me why I can't seem to play a female character in this game.  I liked my elf-mage, but I've wanted to strangle the rest of my female characters.

well it really depends on the character and Origin

My nobles would do a chantry wedding but thats because its familiar with them not because they actually give a damn about the religion

Dwarves I dont see getting married though since I dont think other dwarves would take marrying outside their own race as a good thing, plus the fact that both Dalish and humans worship some invisible sky people as WTF LOL worthy

Not sure they have civil ceremonies??  I dunno.  We don't know much about Fereldan weddings, come to think.  CE origin can't exactly be representative.
