I like the taste of alchohol.  My problem is not being able to afford top shelf liquors and the stuff that you need for mixed drinks gets expensive...  And if you're trying to disguize a cheep liquor, you have to use so much of the other ingredients that the drink ends up weak.  I don't drink often, but I've got a very high alcohol tolerance for some reson, so getting a buzz is ether a matter of stomaching something that tastes bad or spending beyond my means.  'tis frustrating.    I am ever on the search for the best of both worlds.

My friend is like that.. she does well with the moderately priced vodkas and rum though, but man... she won't even come in my apartment if i have rum and rock band out anymore... not since the bon jovi youtube incident of 2008

Yes, everclear is awful, ridiculously strong and can kill you, i kid you not
i had it once. not my thing at all, it's too much for me. they use it at all the frats here, and when they put it in jello shots and serve it to the small sorority girls it's just wrong - they don't know what they're getting into if they don't drink much and they gulp down a few jigglers before the first one hits. it's bad.

edit: Oh yes, I got her to start singing after only a sip of rum, and next thing i know she had downed ~1/5 to 1/8 of the bottle (she's quite small!!) and was screaming "I LOVE THIS SONG" to every song that came up. and so i took the rum away and she continued... her boyfriend uploaded the amazing dance to youtube (she has since demanded it destroyed). she later spent half an hour locked in my bathroom til i picked the lock to make sure she was ok. She was sound asleep curled around the toilet bowl... poor thing =/

That was about my guess.  Initially I thought 25-27 but I kept looking at him ingame (favorite pasttime ) and kept thinking he could be younger.

  That IS awful.  I'd have sense enough to use verry little myself, but it's horible that people abuse it like that.  Girls really shouldn't be so trusting, though.  *sigh*  I swear there should be a mandatory highschool PE class about the dangers of alchohol poisoning and date rape.  Seriously.

But his skin does look a bit weathered up close and he does have fine lines, so I think that makes sense. I personally can't see him being younger than myself because most people think I look like a teen.

well like anything, best to be around friends and not strangers when used, because who knows what weirdos will do with you if you can't be of the right mind to protect yourself.


edit: i thought Zevran's skin looked somewhat "weathered" too, though not like the marlboro man or anything, just a bit rough on the forehead and such, so always thought he looked more ~30 human years

1)Indeed though iI dont drink my friends however do and considering how wild they get I kind of worry about them when they are partying outside our group of friends (expecially with what iv seen them do)

2)Agree with the age I really cant see him being only 1 year older than me

I'm in my 30s so it's a possibility, but I think Zevran seems older because of the life he's led, the scars both literal and otherwise.  He's obviously spent a lot of time in the sun, as well.  Antiva seems to be a desert culture (Antiva City is a "glittering gem among the sands") and he's seen a lot of tans for being a fair-haired guy.

Of course, that slightly weathered look is part of what makes him hot. Makes him tougher looking instead of another typical delicate elf. Frankly I'm so sick of Square Enix syndrome that I'm running in the other direction with my tastes. Men with the complexion of a ten year old is just weird.

Yeah, that is true, but with beauty being such a big deal for him, I imagine he took good care of his skin at the same time... as with his hair.  (I remember Morrigan calling him a fool who spends far too much time on his hair.  XD)  So, in my mind, it evens out a bit.  Probably late 20's, no older than 30?

I agree, I prefer the weathered look on him, too. Mods often make him younger and while at one time I thought he might look hot with dark hair (just my thing ), I wouldn't change either thing now.

Mainly i liked the dark-haired mod cuz it gave him a bit of a snip, which isn't quite enough facial hair to be too humanizing but enough to make tolkien fans cry, so i'll take it

edit: but tbh i don't mind him either way, i'm playing through this time with him on with default looks

I also put Zevran at about 29-30.  But I'm 25. I also want Alistair to be at about 21-23, despite some claims that he's only like 18.  I guess at my age, the thought that I'm romancing even pixelated guys that much younger than me makes me feel like a cougar.

Seriously, I do see Zev as being a touch older, just from his attitude.

I agree. Zevran's slightly weathered, well-traveled appearance is part of his charm. He might be in his early to mid 20s, but you can tell he's been through a great deal. There's always something nice about having an experienced man at your side

Also his voice, I think. There's a richness and slight rumble to his voice that is something you get with age. A man's voice might change in his teens, but that's only the start, it usually still sounds noticeably young in their early 20's usually.

It's not just the accent, though, it's the tone of his voice. Vocal aging is something I never paid much mind until I noticed it in the singer of my favorite Japanese band, and they aren't even speaking English. (his voice just gets sexier with age. )

I can agree with that. I've noticed it listening to Gackt... His earlier songs compared with the newer ones show how much his voice changes... He still sounds amazing though... Looks amazing too...

I've not listened to much Gackt myself. Mmmm... they do edit his photos, you know... no one really looks like that... XD But I'm sure he looks alright.  (have seen photos.  Somehow no matter what Japanese band you like, you WILL become well aquanted with Gackt photoshoots. ...And lore... Damndest thing, really.  LOL )

Guy I'm speaking of is Atsushi Sakurai of Buck-Tick. Insane how much his voice changed with age. His vocals towards the late 90's/early 00's could melt glaciers. *__* Where as their really early stuff from the 80's was so sharp and higher in tone, and very young sounding (adorkable, really. XD).

But yeah... Zev's voice reminds me of that... I can't find the right word to describe the quality, but I've never met a terribly young person who had a voice with it.
