Ooooh, there's an extra bit of dialog in here that I will probably NEVER see. If Zevran is romanced and hits hostile (I can see how that could happen easily, actually), he tells a REALLY mean story before breaking it off. Basic meaning, the warden makes him sick.

Thanks! Careful conversations, a few gifts, and I should be able to do it. The hard part is, keeping him from joining Taliesen... I'd have to have SOME conversations to make him know he's wanted with Amalia, but not enough to get the romance too far along to make the "Choose one" conversation spring up.

As long as you're at 26+ he won't join Taliesen. (yay toolkit -- you just have to be "warm")  However, if he's romanced and 70 care or below, he may leave the encounter.  But it's an easier encounter if you do it that way.  If he's not romanced, he stays.

Mm, useful to know. Unfortunately, PS3 doesn't allow us to actually click on the approval bar to see numbers and emotions.. Wish it did... Would make things much easier.

Ok, here it is, but first, the first line of his poem. The comment made me laugh so hard!

Zevran: It was recited to me, as I recall, by a rather wealthy target of mine. Let's see... "The symphony I see in thee / it whispers songs to me." (his best poetry recitation voice -- this is romantic stuff)

ANYWAY, here's a story he tells if he's romanced and becomes hostile. Female version.

Zevran: Hmm. I am reminded of this one evening in Antiva City, not so long ago. (reminiscing)
Zevran: I was working with another Crow, a rather buxom human lass with the roundest posterior you had ever laid eyes upon... but I digress. (reminiscing -- he gets sidetracked onto an amusing side-topic)
Zevran: We had been flirting for hours while waiting for a mark to return home, and I was beginning to find her tiresome. And then the lass up and vomited upon my good leather shoes. (telling an amusing story)
Warden: Was she sick?
Zevran: Probably. We may have been drinking at the time, I don't care to remember. (dismissive)
Warden: And? Your point?
Zevran: Well, I turned to the lass and said, "Thank the Maker! I thought it was just me." Laughs (an amusing punchline: "you feel nauseous too?")

Warden: I don't get it.
OR
Warden: That's it? That's the story?
Zevran: Better warned than in too deep. (amused -- this is actually a dig directed at the player)
Zevran: But never mind. Sometimes these things fly right over my head. (icy)

OR you can end it this way.

Warden: Are you saying I make you sick?
Zevran: That would be too clever of me, I suspect.
Zevran: But never mind. Sometimes these things fly right over my head. (icy)

Oh wow. How does that work, anyway? I mean the PC romances him, but his approval drops steadily without a break-up? Or a break-up and the once romanced Zevran tells that story?

But I'm with you, that's one story my warden will never hear. I don't think I could stand putting her through that.

It's easy to turn on the romance, so I would imagine, just turn it on in your first conversation with him then be a jerk to him. It actually would be pretty easy to get him hostile. I may actually do that, just to hear it.

I had a save right at the start of the romance so I did it. Hahahaha, ouch! The transcript really does NOT do that conversation justice. The responses to get him hostile also are pretty bad.

Edit: But it is easy and fast to get his approval down very low.  He obviously cares a lot what the warden thinks of him and doesn't take too kindly to being disrespected.  It took all of three conversations.

Shoot me, I clicked the wrong thread and now I know something about Awakening, what I didn't want to know.
I have to wait 2 more days... the pre-order action looks interesting though. On second hand, it doesn't look interesting, it is a shortbow for crying out loud. I never use shortbows. x.x
