You start getting a dialogue line where you can ask Zevran "do you stare at everyone like that?"barkingM1 wrote...
I'm not certain I even know what the 'stare' conversation is. Quote, anybody?
Someone else can probably find the exact words. He replies that he doesn't stare at everyone, but your PC is the type of woman (I guess man if you're a male PC) who commands stares from men and even other women, then asks if you would prefer he desist.
If you give him permission to keep on keeping on, he tells you he'll keep that in mind and might even redouble his efforts. Then you get the cutest. line. ever. "Let us continue on then... with you in front, of course."

That's my conclusion! Of course, my HNF would have gotten down on her knees in the LM chamber and begged him not to go, if that had been a dialogue choice.jenovan wrote...
I suppose Zevran wants to be wanted (or at least, enjoys being wanted), the choices where you ask him to stay seem to generate the happiest replies?...
No kneepad jokes, you numbskulls.
But.. but...

Hah, at least for the male Warden (I would imagine it applies for the fems, too?), he also says something to the effect of, "I once stared all seven skirts off of a dancer in Antiva once. It's a trick worth trying again."Addai67 wrote...

I've just done Ostagar with my female human mage. Yes, I'm slow this time, and playing on hard setting which means I can't just send everybody into fight and wander around looting like usual. I took Zevran along deliberately (after using ZevranASAP). He asked for Maric's sword. I'm confused about the approval and disapproval when it comes to Cailan's body. I knew Zevran disapproved of the funeral pyre, but I can't work out why. I tried all three options, and he also disapproved of leaving Cailan to the wolves. (So did Alistair, although I actually found that scene quite touching. Cailan isn't just dumped but it looks like he is laid out and we pay our respects). Zevran approved if I left the body up there.
So what's going on? Cailan wouldn't mean anything to him. It's not just the pyre he disapproves of, but any option other than leaving the body alone. Does he just feel differently about bodies and funerals? Is it a culture thing? What do they do in Antiva? Is it because we're singling out one person for special treatment? Does he disapprove of Cailan's part in the battle?
I don't mind losing a little Zev approval as it's so easy to make up but I was so confused that I ended up replacing him with Sten, and doing the funeral pyre to keep Alistair happy. Why, I don't know, because I'm trying to make my mage and him hate each other. I don't know if you can see but in this picture, they have their arms around each other.
Yes, I'd killed off the rest of my party. Still getting used to 'hard'. Maybe I should have gone for the emissary before the ogre.
Sannox, if you do RtO with just Zevran, you get a cutscene. He says, basically, "Crude. To go through the trouble of killing a king, you'd think they'd want to show his face." If you leave his body up, you get +2 approval. He thinks the darkspawn earned their trophy.
Make sense? No. Is it in character? No. Does it make me nervous about the direction they may take Zevran in? Yes.
Then again, you see him in warden's keep and in honnleath approving of making deals with demons. He does no such thing in the mage circle. At ALL. No approval, no disapproval if you make deals there, even with the desire demon. nor does he approval if you make a deal with the demon in the deeproads (Asunder quest). I think it's due to different writers.

Sannox, the whole RtO DLC is pushing people OOC. There is no reason for Zevran to disapprove, and definitely not silently. The writers for that DLC most likely saw bits and pieces of Zevran, decided he was the "evulz, cold-blooded" guy, and just had him act very weird and out of character.
MG, I know I have some kind of net-framework installed. I'd be finding that under programs/control panel, right? You know, to see if I have it already. (Are you sorry yet that you offered?)
ninja'd. Of course

Everybody thanks for the answers, right now he is on +16 (gave him his gloves). Anyway to get approval from him in Redcliff? I'm thinking about doing that quest first.

Actually the easiest was is to download the Windows Install Clean Up.
Install it.
Then run the program (the shortcut will in Start> All Programmes), this will bring up the "Windows Install Clean Up" You will have a list of things installed on you machine, now scroll down until you see "Microsoft .Net Framework" and then see if there is one called "Microsoft .Net Framework 3.5. If so you have the lastest version
If not you can get it {HERE} . (download>Install>Install Toolset).
Let me know if it works.

Ok, here it is, but first, the first line of his poem. The comment made me laugh so hard!
Zevran: It was recited to me, as I recall, by a rather wealthy target of mine. Let's see... "The symphony I see in thee / it whispers songs to me." (his best poetry recitation voice -- this is romantic stuff)
ANYWAY, here's a story he tells if he's romanced and becomes hostile. Female version.
Zevran: Hmm. I am reminded of this one evening in Antiva City, not so long ago. (reminiscing)
Zevran: I was working with another Crow, a rather buxom human lass with the roundest posterior you had ever laid eyes upon... but I digress. (reminiscing -- he gets sidetracked onto an amusing side-topic)
Zevran: We had been flirting for hours while waiting for a mark to return home, and I was beginning to find her tiresome. And then the lass up and vomited upon my good leather shoes. (telling an amusing story)
Warden: Was she sick?
Zevran: Probably. We may have been drinking at the time, I don't care to remember. (dismissive)
Warden: And? Your point?
Zevran: Well, I turned to the lass and said, "Thank the Maker! I thought it was just me." Laughs (an amusing punchline: "you feel nauseous too?")
Warden: I don't get it.
OR
Warden: That's it? That's the story?
Zevran: Better warned than in too deep. (amused -- this is actually a dig directed at the player)
Zevran: But never mind. Sometimes these things fly right over my head. (icy)
OR you can end it this way.
Warden: Are you saying I make you sick?
Zevran: That would be too clever of me, I suspect.
Zevran: But never mind. Sometimes these things fly right over my head. (icy)
OUCH

MG all I see is
Microsoft .NET Framework 2.0 Servicepack 2
Microsoft .NET Framework 3.0 Servicepack 2
Microsoft .NET Framework 3.5 SP1
Nothing else with the .NET name shows up. Should I delete the first two?

Male version is almost exactly the same. I do want a Zevran disapproves banner sometime soon . . . This story needs it. Funny that he mentions the woman's ass but the guy's eyes. I wonder about that. ANYWAY. Let's see . . .
Zevran: Hmm. I am reminded of this one evening in Antiva City, not so long ago. (reminiscing)
Zevran: I was working with another Crow, a rather handsome human fellow with the most brilliant eyes... but I digress. (reminiscing -- he gets sidetracked onto an amusing side-topic)
Zevran: We had been flirting for hours while waiting for a mark to return home, and I was beginning to find him tiresome. And then the fellow up and vomited upon my good leather shoes. (telling an amusing story)
Warden: Was he sick?
Zevran: Probably. We may have been drinking at the time, I don't care to remember. (dismissive)
Zevran: Well, I turned to the fellow and said, "Thank the Maker! I thought it was just me." (an amusing punchline: "you feel nauseous too?")
the rest is the same. There are a few other dialog options, but they all pretty much go the same way.
Edit: And yes. A transcript cannot fully portray the nastiness of this conversation. It's so nasty it's funny. What a way to get dumped!
