In Aladdin the princess is still a useless character who needs rescuing, so bleh.

in the movie yes she did... the cartoon series however she did kick ass quite a bit

but Aladdin, Abu and Genie are awesome

also Mulan well...Mulan kicks ass lots of it and she certanly doesnt need rescuing and the chinese version has Jackie chan singing in it XD

Oh, yeah, I didn't watch any Disney cartoon series except for Gargoyles, which wasn't based on any movie.



And I forgot, I do respect Jungle Book. But yeah... my taste in musicals is very limited, and children's cartoons don't hold my interest.

I kept missing the musical "Cats". I missed it in London and I missed it in the USA. Other than that, I know what you mean, ES. Unless I can watch it live with friends, I'm not too keen on them.

Same goes for Ice-hockey and baseball. Man, that was the funniest thing I've ever seen. People hitting a ball with a stick and then run around in circles. But, as soon as I got a grasp of the rules it was fun, I even liked the name of the baseball club - the Baltimore Orioles. Pretty birds, those. (The real birds, not the players. I didn't see much of them, we were too far up *grin*)

I really have to dive into the toolset. Perhaps between us all we can even get a "Zevran adventure" going. I think the only other module/quest that has been done for DA:O is 'Murder Alley'. And to add more shame to myself, I haven't even tried it yet.

Fuuuuu I need a better computer.  I could offer sketches and ideas and plots for quests and maybe even dialogue if anyone likes what I come up with.  Or one of those things.  Someday... someday, I will learn to do computer graphics.  T_T    uuuuhm... Just asign me a mission.  lol

In two months after 'my letters' are taken care of, I am in. Maybe by then I will on the same level with DA toolset as I were with NWN toolset once. Something bigger, and Zevran specific... muhaha, let's take over the world!

Hmmmm, found something else interesting in the toolset. Even if Zevran is at Neutral, there's an answer that will lead him to fighting with the warden (same as if he's romanced but below adore) -- "Zevran doesn't need the crows any more." There's dialog for after the fight if that happens (which is why I looked it up).  So even if you ignore Zevran the entire time, he won't necessarily betray you!

Also, there's a breakup line, actually, that I had only seen once (because of someone evil who posts here). But there's no reason why it couldn't be used as a temporary goodbye.

Zevran: I shall simply say farewell. Until we meet again. (romantic -- he is saying goodbye to someone he loves)

It leads to the other public kiss from Zevran.

Anyway, I'll play awakenings a bit more today, see if I start actually caring about the characters in it (so far I don't). And then probably finish up the deep roads!

So far I've been surprisingly amused by Anders, and slightly overwhelmed by the massive amounts of new talents. Overall I'm generally enjoying Awakening.....

...but it has a distinctively Zevran-sized hole

Awakenings gets slightly more interesting around the 6 hour mark, imo. Still pretty bad for an expansion that's only supposed to be around 15 hours long, though.



But yeah, there is a pretty distinct Zevran-sized hole in the game, and I really don't understand why. There are certain situations at Vigil's Keep he would be absolutely perfect for. He wouldn't even need to be a playable companion, he could just be there to add to the whole story. Right now my Warden Commander feels kind of incompetent, she'd do much better with someone at her side who understands cutthroat politics. >__<

The funny thing is, Awakenings has the potential of weaning me away from DA:O. In DA:O I genuinely feel sucked into another world. In Awakenings, I'm distinctly aware I'm playing a game. I can tell by my dialog choices that the characters with me are supposed to be my friends, but I certainly don't feel it. Which actually may be a better perspective to have.



As far as DA:O goes, there's only so many times you can do the deeproads and such before the tedium outweighs the absolute delight of the relationships you build with your companions. I was hoping DA:A would build on that. For me, it's not. I am glad other people are liking it. In a way, I'm disappointed, though, because if enough people are content with shallower relationships with the companions and such, it's something we may not see again.



So enough rant from me. I'm genuinely soured on the whole DA universe at this point. But loading up DA:O and talking to everyone there DOES help a little!
