yes ES i was a bit encouraged by Gaider's last responses except for the "you don't have to be worried about expensive but I do" but at least he is reading and responding and I think the whole tenor of the thread has been rational and positive about what we like about each of the two systems. Hopefully a hybrid will be in the works for later... unless, as has been reported here, all the resources are going into KOTOR. After seeing so many other games fail to reach their potential, I am worried about this, BUT.... for now I remain cautiously hopeful. And in the meantime will enjoy both Origins and Awakenings for what they each offer.

and then there is the dwarf kiss (which I have been SAVING and so have not yet seen).  MORE REASONS FOR MULTIPLE PLAYTHROUGHS

And dwarf beats them in both -- if the kiss is in the right place (or your femdwarf has long hair). But the before tent kiss? Worth waiting for!

Yeah... Zevran is a good reason to start a dwarf playthrough. First I have to finish my 2 mage and 1 rogue playthrough, can't start another one before at least one of those is finished. (knows that she will start a new playthrough without finishing another one first)



But I can go to sleep knowing that Zevran was delighted about my mage's response.

Look at it this way... Expenses had to have been an even bigger issue when working on the first game in a new series, since everything is a gamble, and you can't fall back on a core fan following and familiarity. And yet Origins was great, especially in the dialogue department. I think Mr. Gaider is just being realistic and reminding us that there is a limit to what can be done, and he has to find ways to do things efficiently so that they can make the most of what they have. I don't think that's discouraging, when you put it in perspective.

My elven mage did not delight Zevran with her after-tent response, but she really wanted to know if he could love her.  They both had frowny faces after that post-tent talk, but it's just because both of them don't know yet that the life-changing night really was life-changing.  (she slept with him the first time after Taliesin, the night Zevran told her he would stay with her to defeat the Blight)

@CZ - I normally use Hands of Guile, if you have a Rapid Aim Bow is doesn't stack with Repeater Gloves. (max fire speed I belive is 0.3 Rapid Aim+Rapid Shot...I cant check because Detailed Tooltip's mod has stopped working...wtf....)

Once again, I'm left in the dust by the speed of this thread, but I wanted to check back to say that I checked in-game and I was wrong: no Gwaren heraldry available in Amaranthine.  Dragon's Peak Bannorn, yes, Gwaren, no.

And good gloves for an archer?  Try Red Jenny Seekers or Gloves of Guile.  Katriel's Grasp (and Pushback Strikers, which are better) are for melee.

It's not based on the earring.  I go for the engagement over the earring!  Ok, and that part bugged the hell out of me for many reasons. It's what I want to rant about, but please edit that out of your post (the part I changed).  A lot of people here have NOT finished or even started Awakenings.

Hm, ah now I remember... she replied "We should talk" instead of "I thought I seduced you" or "you're practically a public menace".  Probably why she got a -2 overall.  I think he will still give a small bump if you ask about love after one of the other lines?

Some things in the toolkit have static numbers of disapproval, some they're variable. This one is variable -- but it says, when you ask him about love (Dec_med).  So it's a medium disapproval.  What that means depends on where his approval level is to begin with I think.  I've noticed this with his dialogs, approval also seems based on his approval level.

ok so I downloaded a new difficulty mod since the current one was getting to easy... and I keep dying yay! it also helps I have a severe lack of CC spells (beyond the Walking bomb+taunt tactic)
