Hm... While I like having Zev threaten Anora and being one of 2 who comes to save the day, I think Amalia wants to kill Cauthrien for her "churl" comment during the initial meet with Loghain...

@Surreal: ...And now all I want to do is hurry up my DC playthrough to GET to the Landsmeet. This is my first full Zevran romance playthrough after all >_> My male mage I got bored with halfway through, and my female city elf rushed it and..so I got bored again. Must resist urge to hurry through to Landsmeet!

@Mimsy: *chuckle* Oh, I rushed as much as I could with Amalia. I have an elf mage(male) sitting there, about half way through, because, well, mages get boring after a while. *sigh* But DW Rogues... those are fun :)

Edit: *swears, curses, flails* NOW I get the flarking "Superman" RE!!!!

Hurray for Surreal!

I do think the epilogue card is horrid. It has nothing to do with the Zevran endings in any of my games, and also nothing with the way I role-played my PC and Zevran. It is all already developed, I invested a lot of emotions and feelings into my PC/Zevran romances, and that card screws with them.

Ok, I just read it again and it felt worse. I can see one or two of my characters getting it, but I can also think of LOTS of instances where it'd be so wrong. Especially for a human noble who made certain choices at the end of DAO (not to get spoilerish).
Romance DLC would be great, but I'm not getting my hopes up. However, even if Bioware doesn't do it, I'm sure fans will, eventually. VO might be the biggest problem for such a big mod, but I could even live without it, if it meant more Zevran sqeee-ness. I wouldn't mind going shopping with Leliana either :D

Yeah. Let's put all our  hopes and dreams on Charsen. No pressure though :)

As for my dwarf commoner, maybe it'll help if I stare at my dwarf's face a lot and ignore her arms. I go into my CharCreator and sigh. I really want to play her, especially because Ejoslin insists on tempting people with ther "dwarf-kiss:wub:" picture.

@Surreal: I honestly don't know why I'm not just quoting. Maybe I don't want to break the pattern of @SoandSo? anyway XD

Blah, my silly mage...I think he was my practice mage, to be honest. I just wanted the achievement, really...He was fun, though. Unlocked Blood Mage for me. He holds a special place in my heart.

DW Rogues...Quite simply, I HAVE to play as a DW rogue o_o I have a FHN who's a dual wielding warrior..but the lack of lock picking makes me want to have a tantrum...-cuddles her many DW rogue characters-

On another off topic note: my pre-release Character Creator finally updated and so I decided to show off my Rayna. She's my DC who is romancing Zev. PS3 didn't upload her...was so sad....It uploaded my less than appealing elf, but not my cuddleworthy dwarf? -sob- Why, PS3? Why? D:

and back on topic....-cuddles Zevran plush she wishes she owned-

Edit: On fem dwarf kisses....They are beyond win and a half. I believe my mouth dropped and I think a squee escaped my mouth. XD

@Mimsy: Ah, quoting can be annoying. I like using the quick reply :)

Oh, I'd built a mage, but deleted her and made another Dalish DW Rogue. I need to make a Ranged Rogue next. Prolly City Elf(the item dupe exploit makes getting Deft Hands easyon my rogues or on Zev*evil grin*). My poor male mage might just sit there. I made him basically to get the Morrigan and Hopelessly Romantic trophies. I'm tempted, if I finish him, to spare loghain and make the puppy marry the royal b*tch, then make Loghain take the dragon out.

Yeah, takes the PS3 forever to update. I can't really download the Creator on my PC, and I think my mother would shoot me if I did it on her laptop(which I am currently on).

...Now I want a Zev plushie...

*Looks at all the pretty dwarf lady avatars, looks at the "kiss" again, reads Surreal's, Mimsypeach's and Fuzzy's comments*

Alright. As soon as my mage is done, Lisse will make an appearance. I've already decided that a DC would be more heartwrenching than the DN origin. However, I have a feeling that my DN (yes, also already lingering in the CharCreator) will get her turn pretty soon after my DC.

This is the reason I love my PC. I can get the 'lock-bash' mod, and be a happy warrior. I don't see how my warrior should be unable to use her big, bad swords to open a mere chest. Because there's always the chance that the contents of the chest will be destroyed by the bashing, I don't think it's really skewing the game.

@Surreal: Quick reply for the win :D

I base my characters a lot on personality and RP, which...probably isn't good tactically, hehehe...My goal is to have at least one character for every origin/gender combo...But that means coming up with tons of stories for them and, quite frankly, I'm too lazy.

I have made a ranged rogue (Female Dalish) but I like to be in the middle of the battle, hehe. I have a female city elf in the works that will romance Leliana...and a male Dalish who'll romance Morrigan...Yeah, I'm a little hooked on elves, what? >_>

PS3 DA in general kind of makes me sigh (if only because I can only think of the epic mods I'm missing out on -grumble- ) but overall, I like it :3 I'm used to the controls anyway XD

Awwh, that sucks D: blah...

....-offers...imaginary plush virtually?- XD

Edit: My gawd! You guys post fast XD Yes, Rayna has a -koffkoff-similar brand. It was my favorite >w>

Edit again: <3<3<3 @ screen. graaah...this just makes me want to play again. XDXD

@Mimsy: *snicker* Yup!

Oh, I can't come up with stories before hand. I base it on the Origin itself. Saetan, the mage, already had his fun with Morrigan, and(were I to continue him) is trying to not fall head over heels for Zev. Amalia got suckered in by Alistair's chivalry, but realized after curing Eamon that that relationship was doomed. My first elf, Surreal, managed to have a happy ending with Alistair. The rest all were happily addicted to the Antivan. Even my HNF, who married Al, but only for the crown.

Yeah, people like making the Dalish archers. Me, I want to avoid that stereotype. Oh, I love elves. Humans aren't bad either, but elves are just fun.

Yea, I want Saint Charsen's wonderful Zev-mods!

*grin*

Yup, this thread can move real fast at times.

Ohh, another squee-worthy dwarf/Zevran picture. I love those, the look in his eyes when he looks at her.... awwww (squee).

I usually use the quick reply too, btw. I am so tempted to make a dalish/city elf male and try the Morrigan and Leliana romances. Although Leliana scares me, she used to ninja love all my femWardens behind their backs.

However, I have the feeling that my CEM or DEM will go for Zevran in the end. Oh well, at least he would get the maleWarden/Zevran experience, which seems to be just as squee-worthy as the femWarden/Zevran experience. But I still would love to see how Morrigan's romance plays out if completed. Must resist Zevran....

Yeah. That'll work. Not.

@Surreal:

Well...I don't like...go crazy with it. I generally take what I have and fill in blanks so I can build a personality and base the character choices on that. Rayna, for example, is rather bitter, violent, and overall a tough cookie to get to know. Alistair hates her, Morrigan loves her, and Zevran was WAY harder to romance than with my flirty city elf, Tyr. So I just sort of...build around the origin and what we know of the past and go from there.

To make my poor Dalish even MORE stereotypical, she's going to be a Ranger -evil laugh, choke- Personally, I've played through every origin (at least to Ostagar, which I call the boring bit since I've done it so many times @_@) and of all of them..Female City Elf, Female Common Dwarf, and Mage(either gender/race) are my favorites. What can I say? I like underdogs ^_^

Same ;_; I read about them and go "-GASP!- THAT'S AWESOME--...O-Ohhhh...-glares at PS3-"

@Mimsy: Good point. I try to at least build personalities for my characters. Amalia's something of a tough b*tch, having worked for the Carta, but she's got a good heart beneath it all. She's wary of the Chantry, and of mages, but what dwarf wouldn't be? She found Alistair charming and handsome, but Zev is something unique. An elf and an assassin, but kind-hearted in his own way.

Surreal was your typical Dalish, till she met Alistair. She disliked shemlan, but Al opened her eyes to the fact that humans aren't all bad.

Selene was also a Dalish, but she was head-over-heels for Zev.

Titian was a noble brat who loved fighting. She saw Al as a good friend, but nothing more. Zev, however... She fell hard for him, and fast. So, she married Al just for the crown, kept Zev as Consort, and took Gwaren as her engagement gift. Al, by the end of her tale, was simply a means to an end:lifting the Cousland family to the Royal House.

Good morning all!

@Charsen, ohoh, your mod sounds so fabulous! *cry* I'm really looking forward to it!

My dwarf kiss picture... no, it does not do the kiss justice. It's like 100x better! I also find myself making poor conversation choices so I have to reload from there. Sometimes a few times a day. Even though I finished that game a month ago. But it's very important to get those things JUST right!

Yeh, that's it! But YAY! When he kneels down and looks at her, omg!

The animators. I just have to bow to them.

Good morning Ejoslin!

Yes, it was sooo worth it... So much so I have a save set up just for it. It's just so totally *squee*...

And even with Amalia's hair you can see how bad the misplacement is on the normal kiss. Oh my god, what was wrong with the animators that day?!?

@Surreal: I just remembered exactly why I love the game so much in general. It's insane how many ways the characters can go.

Rayna...in general...was just a betch >_> In the beginning, she is merciless. As she progresses, she sees more and is less "I hate the world!" (though threatening priests was so fun...I've wanted to do that for...at least 3 playthroughs >_> ) and more "Oh, fine, I must SAVE these people. I might as well be halfway decent...". As she's romancing Zev, and just keeping him as a party member, she's certainly becoming less hollow and more open.
This might seem totally stupid, but I like to think that she starts off by just calling him "elf" and as she starts to warm up to him, he becomes "Zevran" but it isn't until the end that she'll actually call him "Zev"...I donno. Maybe I read too much into my character, but he'll definitely be a huge part of her life by the end, and vice versa, I'd hope.

My city elf, Tyr, is a bit shallow and doesn't like humans all that much. She looks out for her own, but won't hesitate to talk smack if insulted. She gets along with everyone well enough, though...When she romanced Zev, it was kind of...expected? That seems like a bad word...I'm sure the word will come to me at some point...a second after I finish posting, with my luck... XD But yeah, she rushed it a bit(I wasn't hurrying the romance because it was my first time playing as a female and romancing him, what? >_> ) and went to the tent very quickly. I hadn't really developed her enough to really...take in the romance she had...I think...

Hrm...maybe that's why I'm taking it slow with Rayna.....

I personally can't wait to make my HNs romance Zev. I have a male and female just WAITING. One wants to be Queen, the other wants nothing to do with nobility at all. Should be fun, hehe.

Your characters stories are still making me grin, btw. ^_^

Edit:  G'morning, ejoslin :D

@Mimsy: Yeah. The different ways you can imagine your characters is wonderful.

*chuckles* I bet you had fun playing Rayna.

Tyr seems a "typical" city elf, disliking humans after what they've done. I can see how she might have rushed it with Zev, he's very easy to rush into the tent with. I remember Titian had him in her tent by the end of the first night in camp...She saw something in him that drew her, like a moth to a very handsome(read sexy) flame.

Be aware, humans with Zev in the tent scene tend to be more...dominant.

Glad I could make ya grin :)

@Surreal:

-giggle- Oh, indeed. It's more fun to play characters that threaten priests and merit angry Alistair -cackles-

Yeah, and I suppose I sort of meant for her to play that way. She waited a LITTLE and then went for it, haha.

I've heard. And I've seen a Zev and female human tent scene on youtube...I...don't know how that'll work with my timid female mage..but...eh well XD "It's always the quiet ones"?

I can't wait to experience all of them so I can compare and contrast and decide which one I like best, though.

And going totally on topic. I had the experience of seeing Zev's fade dream for the first time in-game the other day. and...my heart. I mean...I knew what it was, but...gahhh...I was so angry and sad and just...nnrrgh >_< See? It merits incoherence! Zev just standing there and his line afterwards..I think it was about there that my heart broke.

But yeah, since then, he will always be in my party for The Circle bit. I agree that it's too important to miss out on.

SurrealSadi, I see the human female as more dominant too, and I'm not even sure why. She's just smiling away while his facial expressions seem more, I don't know, serious maybe. The elf (male and female) scene is so tender and sweet, though. The dwarf, I can't get past the smiles. Even if the rest of the scene was bad (and it's NOT -- it takes the best from both the human and the elf), those smiles make me smile!

Mimsypeach, I love those backgrounds you just described. My Dalish was an archer/ranger as well.

My characters that don't get along that well with Zevran tend to end up in the tent more quickly; that's their common ground at first. I do like the way the romance plays out more if it's taken slowly, but they usually end up together before Taliesen.

My silly mage hasn't been to the tent with him, and probably won't until after Taliesen. I wouldn't be able to do that without Dialog Tweaks, though. If there wasn't the option to kiss him, she'd be in that tent just so she COULD kiss him at least at camp!

The messy hair that my avatar has, it works well on a dwarf to hide the misplacement. I didn't even notice it until I had a short hair dwarf. And that kiss is fabulous as long as you can't see where the mouths are.

@Mimsy:

I think when I get to a DN(prolly male, just so I can make a beardless male dwarf and have people WTF-ing at me), I'll likely make him really ****** off people.

*snicker* Oh, Titian wasted no time in it. A few conversations and she "threatened" him into her tent.

The humanxZev scenes are a little... peculiar, in my mind. But then, I'm something of a submissive sort so I like the elfxZev scenes, since he takes the lead. And with dwarves, it's more a sharing of roles.

Oh, that was something... Have you ever done the "threaten to wipe out the Dalish"? That's heart-wrenching. For some reason I decided to do it again today. No idea why... It tore at my heart the first time... the second time just made me feel even worse...

Yup, he's a staple in that party for me. I go to Redcliffe, kill Isolde/Connor, then pick my next paths to get Zev.

Yeah, it's gotta be some of the positions they end up in that scream "she's a domme" to me... but that's me. Yea, I kinda prefer the elf scenes, but yes, the dwarf scenes are nice.
Ugh, I'd love it if Zev had a "kiss anywhere" option like Morrigan and Al do... just not fair that he doesn't(of course, Leli fans are prolly b*tching over that too...)
Oh, Amalia started the romance with Zev early, never went to the tent with him till after killing Taliesen(she didn't choose the remark to make him stay for the fight), then talked a while, gave him the Gloves, then poof, massage offer. She was a little hesitant, but caved.  Gah, the way he says, "Then why are we still talking?" is...is... *squee!*

Unfortunately, that what happens. Charen's mod fixes it, but the earring does not end up in your inventory in the vanilla game.  I like the dialog so much better, even before Charsen fixed it, I always went that route and got the proposal instead of the ring.  But it IS sad!

I really wonder why they DON'T have the "kiss anywhere" option for Zev and Lel in the vanilla game.  It makes the romances more intense.  It may be that the writers were hoping you'd grow more attached to Alistair/Morrigan since both of those have the potential for much more pain (Morrigan moreso I suppose, since that one can't end up well) whereas since neither Zev nor Lel have outside agendas, they can devote themselves fully, which doesn't lead to the heartache of the other two.

I absolutely love Zevran's voice.  I really like the accent, but I also love how dynamic it is.  When his voice is low and husky, he can sound either so seductive or so deadly; maybe a bit of both.  If you ever take him to Redcliff (I know, that's the fastest quest, but...), when he talks to Murdock, wowza.  I LOVE his voice there!
