also another plot hole in RtO...how is it my characters have flash back to Cailen getting killed when they where running through the tower of ishal?

ok how bout this? Zevran's disapproval in RTO is because he realizes that you and Alistair DO have a bond that he can never share. you two are wardens and went through the joining and then shared the disaster at Ostagar. Duncan's gone and some PC's really liked Duncan, so there's an additional bond you and Alistair could share. So the disapproval isn't so much that he disapproves of burying Cailan per se as his discomfort at being on the outside of what has been a deep and important part of your life. Granted, this plays better in my head if my Zevran romance is barely started rather than later on. His discomfort is subconscious and/or very confusing for him, so he manifests it as disapproval of an action that he ordinarily would have no bad feelings for.

Back to RTO. I have to admit that despite some real plot holes (NO reaction at finding the joining chalice, for example) that RTO did choke me up the first time I played through it. I did it on a character that ended up with Alistair who was not king and we were resurrecting the wardens. We had finished the game and then came back to Ostagar. It was a very moving DLC for me on that PC.

Do you get that slide even if your Warden ended up in a completed romance where the Warden and Zev stay together after the AD battle?  If so, I can't see importing ANY of my Zev romance characters, since this does not fit with what happened with my DEF, nor will it work with what my Mage will end the story doing.  GAH!!! I may only import characters who had no Zev romance if this is the repayment BW is going to give Zevran fans!!! *Zeran shakes his fist at nearby children  Bioware Developers*

It's the Zevran kiss and tent scene that inspires me to play a dwarf . . . for the second time ever! And the first time was a dwarf priest in world of warcraft (eq2 partner wanted me to play it, I wasn't crazy about it) who I made look reallly old and named Grandma. My eq2 partner also started a dwarf hunter on the same WOW server named Grandpa. We were cute and funny, but that's it.



With DAO, I can be a dwarf woman, AND be sexy and desired. And get such good elf kisses!



Meanwhile, my mage just got engaged! But I think I'm done with her for now. It's time to do my own dwarf. Taking a few days off from her and playing a rogue dampened my excitement for the mage.

You will get that slide ONLY if he is romanced.

Edit: Seriously, I don't think I have a single game where he's not ended up at 100 Love.  Just doesn't happen in my DAO universe.

That slide stinks. It would fit with none of my endings, not a single one. And I will not play through DA:O in such a way that it would fit. I'd rather ignore the DLC..., ah, I mean the Awakenings chapter.

Unless there's a mod that fixed the bloody epilogue card. *Is so not looking at Charsen*

Honestly, I'm getting sick and tired of the writers treating Zevran as a hollow-brained, evil, cold-hearted, cold-blooded idiot. I could live with no Zevran for the tack on, but I'm getting very annoyed at how OOC he is pulled from the original at every twist and turn in the DLC (which, in my opinion includes Awakening.)

CZ, the reason he seemed out of character to me is I made deals with demons in the main game and he neither approved nor disapproved. I let the desire demon in the circle go in exchange for no fight. I let the Asunder demon go for 25 gold. Of course, no one knows about the spell I got from the demon in the fade, but that's aside the point.



Zevran neither approves nor disapproves of deals with demons in the main game. Only in the DLC.

Hmm, couldn't the text be re-written in individual games?
Unfortunately that would only work for those who have access to the toolset.

Yes, it is.  I've been doing that with my mage.  It's difficult because I feel sorry for him, but it is funny.  You get to see a new side to him.

I have two non-Zevran romance characters that I've completed through DAO so far: 

(1) HNF Raina (Archer Rogue) married Alistair and was friends with Zevran, asking him to stay in Denerim with the royals (he agreed).

(2) CEM Darkien (2H Warrior) was my Leliana romance character.  Zevran was invited along as we rebuit the wardens. 

I need to redo both of their endings before importing, though - I sold a bunch of stuff that will transfer to DAA, and kept stuff that won't (Soldier's Peak and Stone Prisoner DLC items), so I have to go back and re-think my post-final-battle inventory on those characters.  Luckily, I wait pretty late in the game before clearing my SP party chest, so I shouldn't have to redo more than a few hours for both of them.  Plus, neither of those characters got to do RtO since the PS3 version came out so late (last week).  Need to load a pre-final battle save to take care of both of those issues.  Want to level up high as possible before importing to DAA 

I've created multiple "throw away" characters along the line to do all the origin stories (and get the PS3 trophies *g*), but few of them went further than one main quest.  I actually had a character that romanced Morrigan who I totally forgot about until I looked at my trophies the other day, but he was deleted just after he got the tent scene *eg*.

I've never played a dwarf of either gender further than Ostagar (I have a preference for playing elves, clearly *g*).  Now that I've seen the squeeful kiss pics, that will have to change when I have time to start another full character

For the DEF (my pic), I made some early choices for her that I regretted later (both talents and main-plot wise), so I'm replaying part of her story.  She's part-way through a replay right now (all main quests done except Paragon), but I've gotten so distracted with Kylin (the elf mage) that I haven't touched her for a while.  She probably won't get imported to DA:A (neither will my mage).  I'll just re-spec new Orleasian Wardens similar to them so I won't angst through the story.

About kissing anywhere - I tried it out, and I have mixed feelings. The first time I played, I kissed Alistair in public and Zevran disapproved. (His approval didn't go down,I don't think, but he obviously wasn't pleased). I knew he wasn't jealous, so it seemed that he disapproved of public sexual displays. Flirting is fine, but he was shocked at kissing. I imagined that maybe it just wasn't done in Antiva.



There was something else that confirmed for me that he disapproved, but I can't think what it was now. It seems strange because you end up snogging at the campsite in clear view of everybody, but it seems to count as private.



I tried out the public kiss, and it didn't feel right because of that.
