[Charsen]

Just updated Zevring to version 1.2, fixes some very uncommon bugs and also introduces actual, wearable rings with bonuses. Right now you have to pick which ring you want to install, which makes switching characters a PITA. I will be making this easier in the new Zevmod that I'm working on, but for now, I decided to just put this up there in case anyone was interested.



Oh and if you have specific ring requests, PM me or reply here and I can whip it up for you in a few minutes.

Some people need to have their nose broken. Sorry, but it's true. Heh, my younger daughter broke her nose a few weeks ago, but far enough back where it doesn't show and not severe enough where they have to do anything. Gah, that was a LOT of blood though. I learned if you go to the ER with a hemorrhaging child, they get you in REALLY quickly!

Edit: Dammit CZ, now it's WATER all over my keyboard!  Usually it's coffee.  My keys are beginning to stick.

There are keyboards that are made of flexible vinyl or something, no openings for liquids to get into, easily cleaned.... Not cheap though...

So, no mods for me just yet.  I'm sure I will be worshiping at the altar of Charsen when I finally get the new PC and play DAO on it *grins at Charsen*

I left Lothering 1/2 way through to grab Shale, then finished Lothering, then did a quick run through the Dalish quest so I could get Zevran as early as possible (thanks once again to ejoslin's advice in the FAQ).  Went back once I had Zev to finish the Dalish side quests before continuing on with the rest of the quests.  Still felt like forever to get to him.

Shale really is a cut up.  The bits with her come in some unexpected places, so I have a lot of fun trying her out on different quests to see what she has to say about things.  She also makes comments in the Mage's tower when Cullen suggests killing all the mages -- she agrees with him (at first), which is not surprising given how Wilhelm treated her.  She's fairly easy to persuade that it's not the right thing to do, though (I think I had only 1 or 2 coercion when I had the conversation with her the first time), and you even get an approval bump from it if you change her mind (as I recall, I got +2).

I dearly love Shale's conversations with Zevran.  They are so funny together.  Most of the other companions gripe about her nicknames (she calls Wynne "the elder mage" and when Wynne objects, she changes it to "the fussy mage" *eg*), but she calls Zevran "the painted elf", and his response is "Painted Elf? Oh, that's me! I do like that." 

They're a great pair to keep things a little more fun despite the drama surrounding the Warden at every turn.

You can have all 3 at the same time in one mod IF the dialogue is adjusted to do so. Right now I haven't done that for the basic Zevring mod because I'm going to incorporate it into Zevran's dialogue for the next Zevmod. I have already begun adding it to the big Zevmod, but I figured I'd release this hack version for others to use in the meantime. Plus so i can get feedback on the stats in the meantime to pick out the best types of rings.

I pretty much just wanted to do a last bug update on the zevring so I can put my mind to rest on that mod and concentrate fully on the yet unnamed Zevmod that will include ZevranASAP and Zevring and also do all the dialogue changes, romance expansion and cutscene updates, etc etc.

reading here makes me less annoyed for my lost savegames, because nao i'm going to do some more playthroughs. with all this mod-goodies it's gonna be a blast

My biggest regret in highschool was that it never came to violence.  *sigh*  You'd have a group of people harrassing you relentlesly for some stupid thing or another... bisexuality, the occult, the fact I wore a long black coat (it was an evening coat, not a trench coat, but Columbine happened and 90% of my classmates could qualify as mentaly retarded), the fact long hair was not fassionable at that time, the fact I'm over weight, the fact I have large breasts, the fact I know big words that hurt their tiney brains... Seriously, people in Moralton needed to find a better hobby.  But any time we got to the point of a face-off, it would ether be a cowardly girl or a guy saying he can't hit me because I'm a girl.  Which is one of the biggest insults, IMO.  I really wish I just went ahead and took the initiative, but I was afraid of my dad... which was stupid.  I could have ended the missery so much sooner if I got in a fight, and got kicked out of school and my Dad's house Junior Year.  I got kicked out over a big fight over politics a year after graduation, and it was like 'wow, THIS is what I was afraid of?'  (I knocked my dad on his ass.  XD) UUUUUGH!

But no.  No epic storries about stabbing people with pencils for me.  *sigh*  *admires CZ's epic awsomeness*

YAY! I just hit my first game breaking bug...and because stupid me didn't think, my last save is back in Vigel's Keep...that's it...there's an Archdemon that need it's head introducing first to a Mual then to very large sword...



Bug: Taking both the City Guard and Smuggler's quest then completing both quests causes them both to hate you...breaking both plot lines...woot.

My brother. He's a skinny stick of a kid, with long hair, glasses, and wears miltary trench coats(the fugly olive drab ones). EVERYONE was scared he would be the one to snap and all Columbine on the school, because he was the quiet kid.

He sounds like the sort I would have had a crush on in HS.    Too bad there weren't many like that where I was, and they never had any of the same classes as me.
