'morning, all!

Sqeeee, senor, great screenies! :D I love Zevran's expression in the second shot. XD

Tweaked Zevran and Elven Male kiss scene by Moonwing

This littlest modification is intended to those of you whose elven male character were engaged in a romance with Zevran and who find yourself confused by the fact that in the kiss scene your character suddenly becomes half head higher than Zev and dominant, while being clearly submissive in the intimate scene.

This modification will change a kiss scene to better illustrate elven assassin`s dominant, protective and no matter what will human and dwarf`s fans say-special treatment of his kind.

*flails* must... test... after getting caffeinated. That "suddenly taller" thing always bugged me, but at least the PC elf doesn't get human-taller... that'd be weird.

*zombies off*

Ohh, I love your new avatar, Jenovan.

By the way, those were some pretty darn good letters you people thought up. Impressive. How about epilogues? Anyone tried that yet? GAH! I really hate that epilogue card, it is so wrong for my PCs and Zevran. It's like they threw together something they barely remembered seeing somewhere.

Sabriana, write one you would want to see for your PC, that could be interesting.

The writers were probably in my head since the in-game one is exactly what I would write for my PC.

@ Wynne & gardening and seeds - that's so unintentionally hilarious!

Well, I would if I could get my mind wrapped around them being separated in the first place. He would not let her go alone to the Arling, no way. If he had to, he'd stealth-sneak after her.
Neither would my PC let him go to Antiva alone. Where is all this "having a show-down" and "leading the Crows" coming from? That sounds ripped from the ultimate sacrifice epilogue.

It's like they glanced at epilogue cards from the Origin, put that in, suddenly realized that somewhere in there was a "go adventuring with the PC" epilogue and hastily tacked that on.

As for Wynne and her lines, I agree. Completely. Utterly.

I had my mage go through the tower last night, and for the first time I clicked on "You seem to fall apart easily for a mage" line from my PC to Wynne (in her nightmare). Her answer made me shake my head at her. How much more idiotic can you get? She answers: "You do not know me. How dare you judge me, you have no right to do that...." Can you believe it?

I so ditched her after the fade. Welcome, Morrigan. Bye Wynne.

With the epilogue, maybe I'm reading the first scenario differently than most. Though perhaps it's as ES thinks, and they're planning on including him in a future DLC (which I WOULD get, stupid me, even preparing to get my heart totally stomped on).

Edit: Hah, how much would ANY of us pay for a Zevran DLC?  I know I'd pay entirely too much.  Hell, I probably would have thought what I paid for DA:A was worth it had there been a cutscene of a kiss goodbye and a few letters given.

Rofl. We are so easily pleased, aren't we? If they attempt a Zevran DLC that skews my characters, and what I know and surmise about Zevran, I would probably cry. Almost everything I imagined as Zevran's emotions, confusion, and inner turmoil was reinforced by the toolset. Don't mess with my Zevran.

Ok, speaking of toolset squee... (we were, weren't we?)

Zevran in the Alienage with your city elf! (female version) There's an additional line in there which I'm putting in -- it bugs out normally in the game and gives a blank screen if Alistair isn't in the party. It also explains why you get an inappropriate dialog choice -- something got knocked off. It couldn't be THAT hard to fix, but probably not worth it.

Shianni: Cousin, you have no idea... the things that happened after your wedding... I'm babbling, aren't I? I'm so happy to see you! (amazed, her cousin has returned from the dead and she's overjoyed to see him)
Zevran: A wedding? So there is a secretive side to you, after all. (Trying to make light of this, when he's upset. He got involved with the player without knowing this.)
Warden: The wedding never actually took place.
Zevran: No? You left him at the altar, didn't you? (Teasing)
Warden: There were rapists. And we got the wrong cake. Disastrous!
Zevran: At least we can be sure you looked stunning for the occasion.

Edit: For the guys, here's the VO comment that got booted off:

Warden: The wedding never actually took place.
Zevran: No? Did she find out you... (the end of this sentence is, "are gay."  Which would certainly seem like a good reason to end an engagement.)

About romance DLC I don't know. We are minority, it seems any other LI is more popular than Zevran, plus there is great bunch of players that do not play romances at all. Those are my impressions from forums here. So if you want sell the content it should be appealing to biggest group possible. Imo romances are not first in line.

But leaving the ending open for possible expansion (whatever kind) on that matter is good thing.

Me thinks that it is a design decision that the expansion does not address almost anything from origins. It's convenient to be silent about things rather than resolve 100 possibilities and I understand why they decided to create new quests and locations at the expense of continuity details. But still it would be so easy to include some romance acknowledgment. I have at least 2 ideas (besides the letter) how it could have been done with near zero expenses. (1) Dialogue with new companions. They might want to hear about you and your life partner. Why does not e.g. Anders ask about it. These three sentences would not kill anyone to write. (2) Earring in quest inventory now! (3) One cut scene at the end would be too much but it would be awesome. No need for talking, just a kiss maybe?

Thanks about my avvie, Sabriana (and Raiynsong, who mentioned her earlier XD)!  Mara's an OC of mine who's been around for 10 years now, it's awesome making her with a character creator that doesn't suck.  :wizard:

ejoslin: ooooh, nice! XD  The malePC lines are a tiny bit different, but you definitely still get the "secretive" comment, too... Zevran sounds a little upset, it really is charming (and you feel so bad for not telling him ... not that the game would let you... )

In the toolkit, it's the same!  I mean, yeh, it's the bride is carried off compared to the groom dying and the way it ends (stunning for the occasion) is different, but other than that, male and female are remarkably alike.  I added the line that is glitched out in the male version to my post.

Talking about squee.... I mean, that's clearly the impression I got, here's my mage in the tower. Got rid of Wynne right after the fade, so I could listen to Zevran, and still save Irving. Although I am alway very angry at him at this point, so is my PC. She found the journal, you see.

Shot one:

Zevran: "I deserved to die, and you spared me. Why are you so quick to condemn those mages?"
Posted Image

And shot two. His facial expression makes me.., I mean my PC swoon.

Yeah, you sleazy, cold-hearted, cold-blooded bastard. STFU and GTHO. /sarcasm

Whoa, neat!  Those are both (male and female) kinda neat lines to get left out... geh.   :(
I guess, from what you're saying, that's what happens when Alistair isn't there to fill in his, "Still, you never said you were engaged!" ?

Alistair should not say that if you're not romancing him but he does.  And if he's not in the party, all you get is a blank screen.  It's a glitch, and it makes me sad because both those lines are so good!

Edit: You're welcome, Andrea :)

Oh-ho, he totally said that to my CEM ;D  What an odd glitch.  Although it seems fine -- they've been together since Ostagar, after all, it seems like the kind of thing you might tell a buddy about.

Oh, damn, now I know how that will play in story... XD
Alistair: You never said you were engaged!
Alessar: Well, you never told me you were Maric's son.
:wizard:

Speaking of Alessar, I totally didn't spend 15 minutes making him kiss Zevran to get screenies of the new animation mod...

Okay, yeah, for anyone interested in how the elf male/Zevran kiss mod works out...
(I always feel weird about posting kiss screenies, maybe because they look so underwhelming compared to the animation..)

The original kiss:  m!PC is suddenly a few inches taller than Zevran, which isn't terrible, but is rather odd. XD  The best part of this kiss IMO is when the fadeout happens -- Zev reaches his arm around the PC, as if the kiss was getting more intense.  Curse you, ubiquitious fade-to-black device!

The modified kiss: Zevran definitely takes the lead, as advertised, but there's not much happening. The PC does reach up with his left hand, but you can barely see it happening.

It ends with one of those totally useless face-mashes, which I didn't bother posting. :wizard:

Meh, how disappointing. I'll stick with the original. I can always imagine I'm standing on... I don't know. Higher ground. A rock? Wynne's face? Something.

(And was I the only one who fell in love with that botanist in Wending Wood? Seriously, let her be a companion, her ragging on Wynne was p r i c e l e s s)

Even if I like Wynne, when she calls her something like Miss 'The-Fade-Shines-Out-My-Bum' I almost fell off my chair
