Of course I do. It was so great for Amalia to deck the b*tch.

Yup! Giving birth to ANOTHER MAGE.

last time I killed Conner that jack ass Eamon was so much in denial about his death he brought conner acting weird and all silent at Alistairs corronation! well yes hes all strangley silent Eamon hes DEAD

...Wow, Eamon must be getting senile...

and the funny thing is hes a good few years younger than Loghain!

oh and if you put Annoyra on the throne by her self or you marry him the git doesnt even stick around for the post corronations ceremonies...dick

Thats because he wants the Pupp(y)et on the throne, so he can play puppet-master.

like he could play puppet master with me as Chansoler and Anora as Alistairs wife :3

I never doubted that :P

But were Annoyra or Eamon to try anything, I'm sure they'd find themselves waking up dead.

not that I remember I do know I gained +4 approval for killing the kid...or maybe that approval was for punching Isolde in the face

She looks evil in general.

I may not like Alistair a whole lot at times, but he's too puppy-cute to kill....

you should try an Alistair hate run he really does sound hotter pissed off (and some of hsi hottest I HATE YOU reactions come only if you have enough influence to open them up like telling him that Duncan deserved to die... which is obviously not true since duncan is a sexy sexy man)

Xander is totally going to pull a Cousland Coup on Anora when he gets the chance... and if he doesnt somehow have a child himself he will pass the crown to his brother or nephew/neice

DA:A is not managing to tear me away from obsessing about every thing Zevran says and does.   I load save games and choose different conversation options to see how he reacts.  It's interesting, and I don't know if this is the case, but I like to imagine that he's exactly the same character regardless of your conversation options, if you know what I mean (i.e. that hostile Zevran is stil the Zevran that would have fallen in love with you, that a Zevran ignored or dumped after the first tent night, is still a Zevran changed by that first night although he doesn't know it.)

One of the conversations that I haven't managed to get is the one where he tells you that Taliesin was a lover. (I think I'd have to go too far back to have him at the right status, because I always start romancing him right away).   In my mind, although you don't get that conversation as a lover, it's still true.

That means there's more going on than him suddenly being free and realising that he wants to stay (and that leading to realising that he may be in love).   He has just killed a lover again (or been in a group who killed his lover, to be precise).  (I know he was maybe in love with Rinna, and not with Taliesin, but 'friends and more' suggests he cared for Taliesin).  He is forced to kill Taliesin so that he can be with the warden, and to protect the warden (it may be also to free himself from the crows, but then if the warden is just a friend I believe he doesn't fight.   So it's about the warden, rather than freeing himself).  He knows that the encounter is going to happen, because he turns up whether he's in your group or not.  He knows that he will probably end up killing someone he cares about, again.

I think Taliesin cares too.  ( Apparently, if you killed Zevran, Taliesin says he was a friend and he'll make you pay for his death).   Taliesin volunteered for the job - a reminder of Zevran volunteering to kill the warden, initially.   Taliesin must be aware that he may be going to his death too, if it turns out Zevran has allied with the warden.  Taliesin wants to make up a story so that Zevran can come back - a reminder of Zevran wanting to plead for the mage.    I thnk Zevran sounds very regretful when he says that Taliesin should have stayed in Antiva.

I missed all this when I first played.   Knowing that Taliesin is a lover makes the meeting much more emotionally charged.  I'm not making a particulr point.  I just found this interesting to think about.

There's a line I listened to yesterday, when I picked the 'cold' option.  He says that a certain coldness is called for and 'You would think that after all my youth and the hardships of my training such coldness would have come naturally.   Alas not'.  It's sad to think of them (Zevran and Taliesin, probably Rinna too) growing up feeling that they have to fight against their natural warmth, and yet it still breaks through (leading to Zevran wanting to die, and Taliesin dying at Zevran's hands).   Zevran's relationship with the warden is the first time any of them get a positive outcome.

Anyway, time to remind myself that these aren't real people and to get back to Awakening.

Just to know, am I the only hard-core Zevran's fan who's actually really, really, really enjoying Awakening despite the lack of our favorite elf? :D

@Sannox: Before I'd even heard about the conversation where Zev says he and Talisen were "friends and more," I assumed it to be true. There was always something in the stories he told and in the way Talisen intercepted you to make me think there'd been more going on at some point. Especially given Zev's character in general. Zev's one of those few characters that brings out my innate sympathy, because everything in his life up until the warden has been so tragic. Amazing when a bunch of pixels can produce an emotional response in you.

@AndreaDraco: I enjoyed Awakenings immensely (I don't know why it scored so low in reviews). I just wish you could've mentioned Zev in conversations (I didn't see any options, anyway, so please tell me if I'm wrong), and they made us wait far too long for that epilogue card about him. I just wanted Oghren, Wynne, or Al to at least question why the elf who said he'd never leave was not around. *sigh* But the game and its story were really solid, and I squeed at the epilogue, so no complaints.

Well, no. I've enjoyed Awakening. I even liked the Zevran epilogue card (and feel very much alone in this, lol).
I liked the new companions, quest, locations, my new sword and armor - very awesome.
But they better give him back in next adventure! :D (And also find my freaking dog, where he is?)

I find the situation with lost LI letter hilarious. Once you learn such a thing exists it changes the view even if it's not actually in game. So do the fanfics (like Sresla's) and other letters people here wrote - like lost puzzle pieces, yes.
You can sing the song Bioware, but we are not mindless darkspawn to listen if we don't like the tune. I suppose little denial is in place here :D

Edit: Oh, the Antiva reunion could be such an epic event! Just imagine some fancy noble party in masks, dressed up warden shows up ... ok, this story has life of it's own beyond canon ;p

The whole thing with Taliesen breaks my heart, too, Sannox. ;_; He comes off as a jerk at first, but then, when you think about it, that's probably how Zevran used to act a lot, too. I wish you could recruit Taliesen. Makes me wonder if this is why he killed Rinna... Thought he'd be protecting Zevran/keeping him to himself... but it just drove Zevran to attempt to kill himself. Makes me wish we could have learned more about Taliesen at least. Or held a burial or pyre or something. Or at least give Zev a hug and condolences.

Bit of Zevran in it, too.

When his approval is high enough, Zevran will stay and fight with the Warden whether it's as a friend or lover... though I would still agree with your point that when he fights alongside the Warden, it's because of his loyalty to the PC rather than just a desire to free himself from the Crows.

The second part I bolded is something I also like about Zevran's character, since you can tell this is something he struggles with throughout the whole romance. His inner turmoil, of course, reaches its climax when he refuses to go to the tent with you... and as we all know, the part after that is the best part of the romance <3<3

On another, kind of related note, I love the dialogue choices where you're able to give him some freedom... like telling him you don't hold him to any oath when he's asking what you plan to do with him in the future. He seems so shocked, yet pleased at that response. It gives me the impression that the Warden, as a friend or lover, is the first person he's able to be himself around, since everyone else has always either wanted something from him, stabbed him in the back, or may be planning to stab him in the back. Finally he really has a chance to show that natural warmth you're talking about

This is an interesting point. I think you're spot on. That kind of attitude was probably a defense mechanism.

I third this (although I wouldn't describe myself as hardcore) I am currently enjoying Awakening very much.
