Ahh, I wondered if that was the convo you'd meant. The way he said it was so very matter-of-fact that it was hard to tell if he was really having a go at Oghren or not... XDCreature 1 wrote...
I can see a straight guy saying that though.Sresla wrote...
Lucky me, the DA wiki had the conversation that I drew the inference from regarding Nate's... preferences:
Oghren: The whole "quiet and stoic" thing must get you a lot of action, huh?
Nathaniel: I take you are an admirer, Oghren?
Oghren: What? No! No, well not unless--no!
Nathaniel: Good. Then I needn't worry about getting too drunk at camp.
Oghren: Heh. Okay, I like you. Just not in that way.
Nathaniel's character just doesn't strike me as being the "I'm just having a bit of fun with you" type, so yes, that's where I got that from (or was it wishful thinking... not for me though, this is just for Alessar's sake, really. Jenovan is so crushing on Nate.)
Alessar?? But he's with Zevran!
And -- stop that!! Poor Alessar would never do that!
(My mage, on the other hand, would so hit that.

I'll have to disagree... I think Alistair looks perfectly sweet in all the shots you see of him in the tent scene. Not just the last, but his initial smile as well. It's the PC who has demon eyes and ought to be checked for abominations and/or wasting diseases.ejoslin wrote...
In the elf and the femdwarf scenes, I'd say Zevran has some sweet looks that WAY outdo even the sweetest of the Alistair moments.
Edit: And what makes them even nicer is they involve the PC being awake!
P.S. Do I get kicked off the thread now?

don't make fun of Alistair! He's a bit immature and clueless but he's a sweetie.
He's just an easy target. And that picture just caught him a a particularly Gollum moment, as Ramante mentioned.
Really, though, that part of his cut scene is cute. Of course, Zevran's toughness/ worldliness >>>>> Alistair's sweetness... but Alistair is still a good character.
I really like that part of the romance scene, but that screenshot is just taken at the wrong time (or the right if you're anti-Alistair). The Alistair romance scene is very cute, but Zevran's is better.

I think Zevran's expressions are sweeter, though

I wish Zevran would smile more. It breaks my heart a little. He's so focused on the Warden, so the intensity is what I find appealing about those expressions, though to me you get the feeling he is trying hard to keep the mask up.ejoslin wrote...

He's smiling the entire time with the femdwarf. And his look is so tender with the elf. I just like both those tent scenes much better than Alistair's. Personal taste and all!

Going to stick to elf or dwarf for a Zev romance.....a HNF romance just makes it look like he's being bought and she's laughing the whole time.
Okay, uploading my one PS3 CE into Awakenings to try to play it there. Only problem, I hadn't realized the whole love thing in that game so had romanced Alistair and decided to stay his mistress (hardened, not married to Anora). but at least then I'll be able to have a baisis for Awakenings discussions, and to decide if I want to purchase it for the PC.
And sign me up for a Zevran/Antiva DLC!

Edit: I even think some of his looks in the femhuman scene he looks loving -- it's just... I don't know. It's ALL about her there, not much about him.
Second edit: I actually feel worse for Zevran in the political marriage. My warden wants Alistair to find love, but he would not be free to pursue it with just any wife.

I mean... I like. I like.

He could burn a hole through her with that gaze. Ok, maybe that was too much euphemism. LOL But it just makes me think... Zevran, are you happy? Are you having a good time? What's going on in there? Of course, we're not meant to know what is going on at that moment, and I think that's part of what is behind those expressions. A lot more is going on than what you see.
The fem dwarf gets more smiley, but not much more, except at the end. This expression is actually very similar:

And now I will stop posting intimate photos of my characters... I'm not obsessed with this game or anything! Really! *checks for white coats at the door*

Edit: really, the look at the end of the elf scene is a bit different from the almost-end of the dwarf scene, just because Zevran starts smiling in the latter, while he just gazes lovingly at the elf. Not that either is bad, just give a different feeling to the same pose.

Alistair, my first DA love, will always have a special place in my heart. When I make him king and spare Loghain, I'll have to turn off the sound so I don't chicken out of it. It's going to be HARD!
Nathaniel...I would have thrown him in a dark corner somewhere and both of us wouldn't have been seen untils later, both severely mussed and satsfied to the point of soreness:devil:. jenovan and Srelsa you are NOT alone in the crush.
Though I still hold that Zevran is the most satisfying and emotionally involving relationship in the game.

"Oh, that's why."
Not the best Zevran face ever, but I'd already spent an hour perfecting those Awakening screenshots, so I was getting pretty annoyed by this point. This one cheered me up, however. I love any real expression on the Warden's face, but this one wins, for situational reasons.

Cullen - yes, creepy, but I find all that suppressed passion rather fascinating. None of the other romance options are creepy, so why not? I love that he's so overcome that he actually runs away. I'm sure there could have been more of a story there, and it would grip me more than the Jowan one.
Ditto, and it's sad we don't get anykind of resolution either at the end of Broken Circle. But that's what fanfiction is for. And among the droves at FF.net there are only two I can think of that do the Cullen romance believably.
And I hear a lot of people would have rather recruited Cullen if they sided with the templars, then Wynne. THAT would have been an interesting thing indeed:devil:.
Edit: forgetting letters-_-

That's why I say that those are the moments you're referring to when you tell Wynne you've seen the tenderness the entire time. I also think that's why what he's saying about everything being casual is more to convince himself than anything! Because those are some seriously loving and intense looks.

Oh, it would be - I hadn't thought of recruiting Cullen. Recruitable and romanceable - that would be good.
Alistair: What do you think about our companions? Namely, Cullen.
Warden: I trust him completely. And I'm in love with him.
Alistair: Really? Because I'm quite sure I saw him sniffing your undergarments the other day. And I heard him muttering your name in his sleep all last night. And this morning he was staring intently at a knife with this *strange* look in his eyes.
Warden: You're jealous, aren't you?
Alistair: Erm, right... I'm just going to move my tent on the opposite side of camp from him, if you don't mind...
Alistair is creeped out -10
